Phallus-Headed Bird Hair Gloss

Kukui nut, dried mango, hay absolute, and brown sandalwood.

This is absolutely lovely. Right away, I pick out the dried mango and get hit with a wave of nostalgia for eating dried mango slices when I was younger. I can't really pick out any of the other notes as they all seem to blend and take away the tartness that can sometimes overpower the nose with dried mango. I'm guessing that the hay and sandalwood temper everything with sweetness and the kukui nut grounds it. The scent is light and not remotely overpowering, so it shouldn't compete with any oils one might be wearing. Light throw, lasts a few hours. I'm really glad I got a bottle of this!

So interesting! To me I would categorize this scent as "warm brown". The softness of the hay and sandalwood blends with the kukui nut for a warm, earthy scent. That is a majority of the scent for me. The mango is definitely in the background, adding some light and creamy sweetness. It's definitely not juicy, fresh mango. So comforting. Like a late afternoon summer nap.

This was totally a fingers-crosse impulse buy, and Im glad! I dont really get mango in my nose, but It seems to be there in my brain because I can only describe this as a creamy tropical nut brown. Sandalwood is usually a miss on my skin, but here in my hair it lends a nice base for the other notes.

eta: Some HG blends dont hold their scent if I apply to damp hair, and this is one of them. In dry hair it lasts several hours; in damp hair, poof, gone.

I totally could not resist these notes! I love hay, and sandalwood.

This kind of smells as you would expect! Nutty, sweetly fruity with a hint of tang, slightly woody, and a touch of perfumey hay. It's lovely! Very different than anything I have. I wasn't sure I would be able to identify kukui nut, but it's that same nutty note from Halfling, very identifiable. Actually I can see wearing this together with Halfling. Lovely and different! Glad I got some.

This is a lovely nutty scent and the mango reminds me of amchoor, the dried mango for Indian cusine. However, this is not a foody scent at all, but has a pretty perfume vibe from the sandalwood. A very cozy and sniffable HG!

Dried mango, with whiffs of both sandalwood and hay. This is definitely an Asian style mango. It's fruity and sophisticated. Very low throw and wear length, but you know what, it smells delicious when you do have it.
