The Forest Floor Report post Posted February 24, 2017 Tuberose incense, blue wisteria, and oakmoss. Holy moly, this one starts off with a knock-you-over-backwards heady floral punch. I smell a lot of wisteria, I don't know what tuberose smells like, I read it's heady, so maybe it's in here too, along with a boat-load of wisteria. Like, wisteria for days. It's a good thing I love wisteria. This is intense, and the throw is intense, for the first 20 or 30 minutes or so after applying... then, suddenly, it calms down noticeably. The Storm of Wisteria begins to pass, and I start to smell incense, a lovely, soft, high-quality incense breaking through as the wisteria clouds thin. The wisteria continues to wear away gradually and gracefully over a few hours, and the incense stays pretty steady throughout; I can still smell a lovely, soft, vaguely-floral incense faintly on my wrist even around 8 or 9 hours later. I don't seem to get moss... the only scent I have that I get a lot of moss from is Fae. If there is moss here, it's probably not that moss. (And that's probably not helpful, sorry!) (Edit: Oh yeah... also, and when I smell this, I think of an etherial light dusty blue, or a pale blue with a slight slivery/grey tint... but I'm not sure I smell colors the same way other people do, maybe my nose marches to its own drummer or my scent-palate isn't sophisticated enough. /disclaimer)
annemathematics Report post Posted February 24, 2017 a creamy floral, cousin to scents like radiance of an opium den and lily the prostitute. wisteria forward, well influenced by tuberose. I love oakmoss but only know it's in this because I read the scent notes. there are some light wafts of frankincense at the start, I think I'm detecting a bit of sandalwood after a few hours, but all the incense/resins hang out very much in the background. good throw and wear length. strong, creamy, feminine, pretty. can't wait for someone to ask me what I'm wearing, what smells so good
Lycanthrope Report post Posted March 4, 2017 More of my wisteria kick! I love the note. My favorite is in Night Scene, although that gets a touch lemon-citrussy, and Cordelia is another one of my favorites, although it's a bit cedar-y and dries sharply musk on me. Bottle impressions, more wet tuberose with maybe a hint of the wisteria aura (that kind of shimmery-sticky gauzey smell). A touch of green in the background. On me wet, very tuberose forward. Wisteria is a side player, giving this a bit of a different vibe than some of the more tropical tuberose blends, or things like Muse, which are citrus/lime and elevated by the tropical tuberose. I'm not getting much moss at all while still wet and drying. As it dries, the waxiness of the tuberose still remains, but deep chuffs bring up droopy wisteria petals. I'm really not getting much oakmoss, unless it's quietly binding everything under the surface. With further time, there's tickles of the oakmossy note like in Fae, a slightly dry greenish powder behind a primarily tuberose base. This is certainly pretty - can't quite tell how people will react when I say it's Consoling Pussy...
LiberAmoris Report post Posted March 11, 2017 In addition to having a terrifically entertaining name, Consoling Pussy of Horse Face Mountain is totally pretty. Wet, this pussy is chock-a-block wisteria, which smells like sweetish blue blossoms to me...a little like lilac. The oakmoss is a classic bottom note that nearly gives the impression, with the wisteria, of a springy chypre happening here. Tuberose is one of my favorite notes, and the 'tuberose incense' plays tuberose at a lower register that those who don't adore tuberose might be able to tolerate. Because of that tuberose, this has a bit of a tropical feel, but just barely. Dry, this is tuberose and wisteria in smokeless incense floating over a bed of oakmoss. It's an overt floral, but the oakmoss is strong enough that it remains a real presence, smelling to me like moss and something a touch marine (salty, tangy, fresh). kelpsoda Report post Posted March 18, 2017 I just got punched in the face with wisteria. It's really strong in this one. After dry down, I get a bit of incense but it's not enough to balance out the florals.
Jenjin Report post Posted March 20, 2017 (edited) I had to try this for the name alone and that Pussyface just makes me laugh.Wisteria hasn't worked on me in the past, but was hoping the tuberose incense would spice things up.Just after application, it's very soft and springy, i'm also getting a honeysuckle that I don't see in the notes, but it is very much like sipping those little blossoms. Sadly, the wisteria is forefront and goes bitter on me in the dry-down. It's reminding me of those old-fashioned bath salt tablets from my childhood: overly floral and artificial in tone.Sad Pussyface~ Edited March 20, 2017 by Jenjin
Casablanca Report post Posted March 31, 2017 In the bottle, I get tuberose in a thin cloud of incense. It smells to me like the tuberose from Humanite, but mellowed some. On my skin, I smell in order: tuberose, incense, wisteria, and lastly a little oakmoss. Then I smell quite a bit of oakmoss in it. A lovely oakmoss. Interesting. Between the waxy, tropical tuberose, the incense and wisteria, and the woodsy oakmoss, this seems to hit a lot of different areas and mental impressions. It’s coming across to me as likable in its parts, but not cohesive overall. As it dries, the wisteria and oakmoss blend into the mood of a deep, rainy forest, with incense adding a meditative mood. Yay! But the tropical tuberose still stands apart and up front, doing its own, entirely different thing. Thankfully, the tuberose slips from dominance as the blend finishes drydown. Now I’m getting more of the wisteria I wanted (I loved Night Scene). It mingles nicely with oakmoss and incense, and the whole blend is softer. The tuberose is just a hint. I like the balance once it’s dried.
zankoku_zen Report post Posted April 5, 2017 Creamy tuberose and wisteria have a weird love child that somehow codes as mildly tropical coconut. Maybe its the incense? I get lush coconut incense, tuberose and wisteria. The oakmoss adds an aquatic vibe which probably is contributing to that lush coconut coding. Great throw and wear length. DiesMali Report post Posted April 6, 2017 In the bottle: WISTERIA. Wet on my skin: HI, I'M WISTERIA. WISTERIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~! Dry: Whew, okay. That was a lot of wisteria, but it calms down quite a bit as it dries. There's a waxy tuberose incense that joins it, and a bitter green oakmoss deepening everything so the flowers don't go soapy. This is a mature, elegant, almost tropical blend of wisteria and tuberose incense in equal measure, and they switch dominance seemingly with every sniff. The moss remains a green grounding note all the way through, and lends the whole thing a mildly aquatic herbal feel. Foggy blue-violet clouds with wisps of pale seafoam green. roseus Report post Posted April 7, 2017 In the imp: Tuberose with a touch of smoky incense. Wet: Pretty much the same, though the tuberose chills out a little and it gets mossier. Dry: This gets moss heavy for me. Earthy and damp, with the tuberose incense making it even more tropical jungle humid and a little smoky. Interesting but too mossy for me! LizziesLuck Report post Posted May 12, 2017 Tuberose sometimes gets really loud and obnoxious and smells a bit like hairspray on me - it's doing that now, only mixed with something sickeningly sweet. Not pleasant on me, but I can guess how good its potential on the right skin would be.
torikitty Report post Posted August 21, 2018 This is not Wisteria-forward on me. I'd say it starts out creamy tuberose. This screams Spring. The wisteria slowly creeps out, but it's definitely there, mounting to a heady floral. It's not making me nauseous, but I wouldn't want to smell this all day. I can see how it would smell excellent on the right person.
