elbow Report post Posted January 1, 2015 Gleaming pomegranate seed and scarlet poppies. I expected this to be a bright red, juicy scent, but (on me at least) it's more subtle than that. The pomegranate and poppy are both present, but this is neither a fruity nor a floral scent. It's mildly sweet, a little sultry, almost spicy, very sensuous. It stays close to the skin and blooms as it dries, surprising me by getting stronger just as I think it's about to fade. Beautiful!
Coldfire Report post Posted January 3, 2015 Decant: Bright and deep red pomegranate. Wet on Me: This smells like a Kirklands Store. That deep but bright pom that is a touch spicy Drying Down: just this lovely lovely deep fruity pom scent. the spicy-ness I am getting must be from the poppy Dry: like Kirklands settled on me and forms a lovely cloud of heady goodness! Bottle worthy
zankoku_zen Report post Posted January 3, 2015 Deep pomegranate, and a swirl of poppies. It smells almost red wine-ish to me. This is a very red blend in vibe. Average throw, average wear length. Fruity, winey, pom.
Magycmyste Report post Posted January 6, 2015 In the imp: Bright, bright multivitamin candy fruit. This pomegranate almost reads cherry to me. Wet on skin: There, that's a bit more pomegranate. The poppies are pretty, but it's like they're sugaring up the pomegranate a bit. Well, sweetening it - like a floral sweetness. Dried down: Pomegranate softened by the floral poppy. Throw: This has a very little bit of throw, very pomegranatey. Verdict: *** This is nice, but it doesn't feel special to me. Especially after A Rosy Colour. My go-to pomegranate scent is still She Crushes for Dead Men Deadly Wine.
thekittenkat Report post Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) In the bottle: Pomegranate and poppy. Wet: It's as though poppy flowers, freshly-cut and washed in cold water, were floated in a deep bowl of pomegranate juice. The dry-down: As this dries, it loses its freshness, but is still a heady scent that lives close to the skin. This could be a lovely date night scent. I have no LBD, but I have a lacy dress in navy and a nice blazer that would be lovely to wear this with. This was my major choice for a blind bottle from the Anniversaries, as I love both notes, and the simplicity of the scent appealed to me. milo Report post Posted March 12, 2015 Definitely pomegranate at first, though it's not as tart as it is when I eat them. It is a sweet pom, with nothing much else. The poppy, or incense, as I find poppy to be, is hardly present. It may come out a bit after an hour so, but it's virtually non-existent. Uber sweet pom, kind of reminds me of cream soda, or a fruity drink. This would be a lot better if there were more spice or incense present.
