LizziesLuck Report post Posted September 10, 2016 Patchouli, aquilaria aguillocha, and Manuka honey. I fell in love with Tricksy hair gloss, and immediately had to hunt down a bottle of the perfume. Hoping it's exactly the same! Wet: Mmm. Dry, earthy, somewhat gritty patchouli. Not gnarly or chewy to my nose. The honey is less prominent in this (on me) than in the hair gloss, which does make me a little sad. The hair gloss is honey with patchouli on me, the perfume so far is more like patchouli with honey. Still lovely though. Dry: I don't love this. I don't even really like it, and that makes me so sad! Totally a skin chemistry fail, since I love it so much in HG format - I have to assume my skin amps the patchouli in a way I don't like, OR maybe there was some batch variation. Either way, I will pass this on to someone who loves it better, and wear my Tricksy HG instead. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Lucchesa Report post Posted June 16, 2018 I am a little shocked by how much I enjoyed wearing Tricksy yesterday. It went on in a big blast of almost camphorous patchouli, if that's a thing. I'm not reading anything in there as oudh or as honey either, at least at first. I was a little taken by the wet stage but decided I was going to ride with it, with that big bad patchouli vibe, and in about an hour or so, the honey came out and sweetened it up but just slightly, and that is the phase I dig most. It's a dry, woody patch, a dry honey, and I don't honestly know what role the oudh is playing here. I got this hoping it would quench my #occupywallstreet jonesing, but this is a very different animal, not rich and chewy like #ows. But I think I really like it!
