Ghost songs and love to the harvest moon: fresh pumpkins warmed by candlelight and aglow with Halloween joy.

This is the first pumpkin blend that has actually worked on me! It's pure sweet pumpkin, not too buttery, and very evocative of autumn and halloween, my favorite holiday. It has a huge throw on me and lasts a decent amount of time, too.
I think what makes this pumpkin different than the others I've tried is that this one isn't particularly foody, more warm and spicy. Which is good, because I'm not much of a foodie.

I am happy I got to test it (and learn that not all pumpkin goes overpowering on me!), but I won't be hunting down a bottle. It's not really the kind of scent I would habitually wear.

the richest, butteriest pumpkin with a touch of spice, warmed up by glorious beeswax. such a warm, spicy, glowing scent, this is one of the best BPAL pumpkin blends that i've tried yet. it's so warm and soo nice and so perfect for fall- i would wear this in the days leading up to thanksgiving, for sure.

Wet: A strong blast of buttery pumpkin-spiced butter! Dark and intense.

Drydown: Glowing, foodie pumpkin spice. Better now that it’s settled a bit. A soft hint of smoke tempers the butteriness some. It sweetens as it dries.

Dry: The pumpkin itself comes forward now, smelling a bit like an earthy cousin of peach. Sweet like honey, but not overly so. A glowing smoke (not a sooty smoke) continues to ground the blend, while gentle spices tease the nose. This is the promise of October. Pumpkin everything is indeed on its way!

In the bottle - Melty beeswax, vanilla, and some creamy, gorgeous pumpkin.

Wet - God, it’s almost a caramel level of meltiness. It really does manage to capture glowing candlelit pumpkins and the essence of Halloween joy.

Drydown - THIS is where the blend really starts to shine, in more ways than one. Vanilla pumpkin toffee is swirling around me, becoming more and more caramelized as it dries. There is a spiciness at play, but it’s so low-key that you don’t even notice. Creamy, almost. Except not actual cream -- just the sense of smoothness. It rounds out the scent and keeps things mellow and down-to-earth and magical.

Verdict - This is my OTP: one true pumpkin.

(imp received in a swap)

So this is a first for me. Wet in the bottle and wet on skin I get the usual caramel that many Weenies do on my skin and in my nose (Calaveras, Devil's Night, etc), but when it starts drying down I smell cigarettes. Not tobacco accord, which I quite like, but cigarettes. I just did a reapplication to be sure, because I really had high hopes. I just learned how much I like BPAL pumpkin, and generally I like BPAL beeswax - but this is giving me a headache.

Oh, well - still so many other pumpkin smells to love, and I'm sure this decant can find a loving home.

I have always been a fall kind of girl and therefore a sucker for fall scents, and before BPAL I snuffed up any fall scent I could, but BPAL has turned me into a snob! This is very much what I anticipated - at first, it is foodie, pumpkin, but then the beeswax comes in. At one point, it gets a little spicy, which I am not keen on, but then mellows out to a beeswax pumpkin.

A darling little Halloween scent. :) Yellow-orange, candle-y beeswax and pumpkin baked into muffins or bread. Cozy.

Pumpkin, a touch of candle wax, and a generally lovely scent!

It does a disservice to Theme in Yellow to say its Jack without the peach, but it does share the rich and creamy pumpkin base. But this is a pumpkin without pumpkin spice, which is amazingly rare, and the touch of "candlelight" makes the whole thing just glow with happiness.

Ahh, Autumn. A Jack-O-Lantern glowing in the night, an illuminated smile.

Kinda buttery! I think it's the candles mixing with the pumpkin. I like this a lot and find it super unique but I don't know if it's a wearing scent. I think it's a burning scent. It feels like an autumn afternoon kind of blend rather than a Halloween night one.

Where I'd wear this: Prepping for a Halloween party

I'm LOVING this. At first, I could pick out the warmth of a candle and the pumpkin, and then the beeswax starts to come out, bringing this wonderful creaminess to the scent. 9 hours later, it's a bit more spicy and even warmer, if that's even possible. Such a glowing, beautiful scent.
