milo Report post Posted April 3, 2013 Wet, milk chocolate with a bit of a 'kick' to it, most likely from the pepper and cinnamon. Dries to a dusty cocoa scent with a bit of cinnamon. It was interesting at first, but went quite flat on me very quickly. Nothing can beat Boomslang in my opinion for a great chocolate scent. This reminds me of one of the herbal '13's. stellamaris Report post Posted April 15, 2013 Well this could be my Early Spring My Nose is Broken Problem, but this is much less CHOCOLATE than I thought it would be, I was expecting the very sharp mouth watering Gelt stuff. I am getting the spices very prominently, more spicy than dessert for me. That said I really like this, and think it's quite wearable.
Ajila Report post Posted January 1, 2014 In the bottle - Weirdly unripe bananas with just a suggestion of spice in the background Wet on me - Oddly I would have said ginger and something like green peppers and it burns; the worst reaction my skin has ever had to a perfume Dry on me - I had to wash it off Overall - It was quite interesting in the bottle, but definitely not friendly with my skin
sunlitgarden Report post Posted January 16, 2014 This basically smells just like the spicy hot chocolate mix that Trader Joe's used to have. (I miss it.) On me, the scent is pretty consistent all day, doesn't really morph or anything. It's a rich milk chocolate scent with vanilla and warm spices. Unlike some foody scents, it doesn't really smell like I spilled it on myself -- more like I am a mug of hot chocolate. This is one of my favorite Box of Chocolate scents, along with the similarly spicy Milk Chocolate, Coconut, Cardamom, Rum, and Ginger Truffle from 2010. Allumina Report post Posted November 10, 2014 Boo on most chocolate scents not working on me. I was hoping for spicy dark chocolate, but this is a faint milk chocolate on me- like Bliss, but not as strong. I don't really get any spices and it sticks very close to the skin. I get a whiff of pepper if I press my nose to my skin and huff. At least I still have Wulric.
aquazoo Report post Posted November 10, 2015 It’s a lot like those Mexican drinking chocolates.: dark chocolate and cinnamon to start. The spices add a nice richness to the chocolate.
Nyx_DevineNight Report post Posted January 24, 2016 In the bottle: Rich chocolate with a little spice. Almost reminding me of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Almost. Wet: Started out a really rich chocolate and spice. But the annatto seed has quickly come to claim the show. Dry: Well, unfortunately this is all annatto seed on me. Not really my thing. I was really hoping for more chocolate and cinnamon, but this had other plans for me. I liked the first initial smell from the bottle though...
Lucchesa Report post Posted August 13, 2018 I was warned about potential skin reaction with this blend, so I applied very sparingly. I didn't get a rash, but I didn't get much scent either, so I slopped some more on my wrist. Wet, it's Ibarra chocolate and roasting peppers, with a little cinnamon. As it dries down the peppers and annatto seed take front place, so it's rather like the Mexican spice section in the grocery store. Or like mole -- I suspect that's the inspiration here. And I love to eat mole, but it's not so spectacular on my skin. There are many other chocolate blends that work better on me.
