Gleaming white amber and silvered ambergris accord with copoiba balsam, benzoin, Atlas cedar, black pepper, and oudh.

I read the review by sunshinedaisybliss and it pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. Silver-Haired Bat is just...wonderful. I love amber and ambergris accord in pretty much every iteration—they're such shimmering, warm, skin musky, fuzzy, happy smells. The pepper gives them a bit of an edge—just a bit, and something almost smoky. The quartet of balsam, cedar, benzoin, and oudh notes smell both burnished and rough, like something from the outdoors brought in and refined.

This one doesn't have a ton of throw, it stays very close and intimate. At times I catch a waft and it's almost like peppery butterscotch, in the best way, even though it doesn't smell foody in the least when I put wrist to nose. It's like the scent equivalent of an oversized, super-cozy grey cashmere sweater.

i smell amber, ambergris and something kind of like chocolate/cocoa-y. not sure what that is, but it's nice. it's not super sweet or anything, but does add a hint of sweetness. i don't know which note that is though. it gets sweeter but less cocoa-y over time. i like this note, i just wish i knew what it was. maybe the balsam, because i'm not sure. anyway on me this is a soft, warm amberish sweet cacao-scent and it's really pretty, soft and comforting.

Wet: Benzoin and woods are most prominent. It's sweet and warm and comforting, kind of like a hug. Really nice so far, but not at all what I expected! The white amber and balsam are combining to smell almost creamy - this is sweet and almost decadent, but the woods keep it from being foodie. Lovely so far! The ambergris is making it a bit musky as well. This is well balanced, well blended, and sort of brilliant. Every time I huff my arm, I am literally making "mmm!!" sounds.

Dry: LOVE this. It's really hard to describe. Sweet benzoin (but not dominant like it was in the beginning, everything has evened out), soft woods, a hint of pepper, creamy amber and balsam, and musky ambergris. This is everything. I love it. It's warm and cozy and unique, and I will wear it a lot this winter from comfort, I am sure.
