Mellifluous Report post Posted May 21, 2011 What I get from this is a cool sweet lemon. Not tart at all, a sweet hard candy lemon.. like lemonheads, but frozen. Lol. It does start off with a scent that can lean towards pinesol, but after a while it is very much like a nice lemoncello over ice. At the dry down I do pick-up a slight white or yellow floral quality, thats waaay light, and possibly slightly herby. hmm, it actually might be carnation, lol or maybe melissa. But overall its a cool sweet lemon.
flyby Report post Posted July 20, 2011 Based on Mellifluous's description and the SB part, I was hoping this might be a Lemon Scented Sticky Bat proto. Having tested it, I'm about 90% sure it is - to my nose it's the exact same sweet lemon note. In bottle: Mmm sweet lemon, with a cool liquid edge; it really is a lot like limoncello, which is a total YAY for me because I've been looking for a lemon-granita kind of a scent. Wet on skin: The lemon comes out, as does the sugary note, and there's a hint of the cakiness that LSSB does on me, but only a hint. Mostly it smells like a nice lemonade with a spike of limoncello - there's something of a resemblance to Geek.goth in this stage, but it doesn't last more than half an hour or so. Dry: Alas, this fades really fast, much faster than LSSB proper. After about an hour the lemon had got a lot fainter and overall it became less noticeable, and it started to develop the Dreaded Thin Sour Smell that amber does on me. That's gone now (9 hours after application); all I get when I huff my wrist is a faint hint of the aforementioned cakey smell. I think I'd like another bottle, because in a scent locket it'll still work for the summer lemonade smell I want, but I won't be heartbroken if I don't get more. zankoku_zen Report post Posted February 12, 2013 SB4 is definitely the Lemon Scented Sticky Bat proto. It has the same cool sweet lemon note, followed by notes of white and brown sugar cake. There's a swirl of a slight white floral to it. This ends up smelling more like lemonade than anything else. LSSB ended up with a weird furry musk that didn't work for me. Sadly, my skin eats all the citrus up in no time.
Wench457 Report post Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) I agree, I think this is a prototype of Lemon-Scented Sticky Bat. This is a softer, gentler lemon to me than the released version. I adore LSSB, which has a lovely musk base on me. This doesn't seem to have that musky undernote, which makes it feel less grounded and more ethereal to me. It is a very pretty, light citrus scent, but I think I prefer the more in-your-face lemon of the released version.
