Victory Report post Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) Cream accord, amber, teak, and lotus blossom. I haven't tried the perfume, but I had wanted to order it when it was available and didn't, so when the bath oil came out, I jumped on it. I wear bath oils as perfumes, and when it was wet, the scent was buttercream-y . As it dried, I did smell a powdery, Johnson & Johnson-type note that made me think, hmm, maybe not so much, but it did go away. Dry, the oil was mostly vanillic cream with a spicy, resinous patina- the amber. The teak and lotus didn't really show up on my skin. The scent was really familiar to me, like I've smelled a number of BPALs like it, so in that respect I'd have liked it to be more unique, but I did like it.Edited for the scent description. Suu4LC Report post Posted August 22, 2011 Eep! I have had this decant sitting around forever! I am a huge fan of BPTP bath oils, and have used them both as bath oils and as end of shower moisturizers. Since it is still a bit too warm in SoCal for baths, this was tested as an end of shower moisturizer. Like the other oils, this does not disappoint in the luxurious quality of the oil. It is rich and silky and leaves my skin soft and smooth. With regard to the scent of this blend-it's funny, I remember not being enamored with the perfume blend back in the day. If it was the same note blend as this, I can understand why. Personally, I am not a huge teak or lotus blossom fan. However, I can see why this blend is so popular. The teak and lotus keep it from being too foody foody. The cream accord is sweet and lovely, and the teak and lotus give it a sexy spiced/earthy quality. I would not have needed a whole bottle of this, but I will greatly enjoy my decant!
theseagrows Report post Posted December 31, 2011 ooh, i finally tried this tonight for the first time, though i've had it awhile. i don't recall the perfume offhand, but i think this is a bit more subtle. i also found it kind of unisex, like pretty universal, as in many people could use it and enjoy it. so pretty and warming, yet subtle and not overwhelming and super moisturizing as always. AmyO'Shields Report post Posted May 14, 2012 This is very creamy with a touch of Teak - wonderful as a moisturizer and decadent in the bath, but I prefer Castitas to Glowing Vulva...not exactly sure WHY - they both smell different (obviously) but similar enough for my nose to pick a fave out of the two. Still, great stuff!
zankoku_zen Report post Posted August 29, 2012 EEK! Amber, teak, lotus and cream. In that order. It smells powdery. And intimate. No burning plastic, but it still not a combination that plays well with my skin.
tharsei-thanate Report post Posted April 2, 2013 I received a partial decant of this from a forumite a few months ago. I put it aside to maybe use in a bath someday but I just found it in my purse with some other imps. I did a quick skin test and oh my god, this is gorgeous. It's predominately cream on me. Yummy, warm, delicious cream with just enough teak to make it interesting. The oil itself is super smooth and it even smells smooth. I really like this. I want more! purplegirl Report post Posted January 27, 2015 I've never reviewed this gem and this is a gross oversight on my part...... I missed out of GV as a perfume oil and I almost missed out of this again when she came back to life as a Bath Oil but thanks to Master Puddin' I was able to try my very first bath oil and fall in love with magic of Glowing Vulva. Creamy, warm, polished - the scent just seems to whisper 'come a little bit closer' though not in an overt way but in a very cozy way. As much as I'm trying to prolong my GV enjoyment, I tend to reach for her on days when I need a little boost or pick me up so and I can feel chin raised just a bit, and my shoulders not hunched as much. Probably because this smells soooooooo bloody amazing and you just can't help but smile when enveloped by this gorgessity! Belated thanks, Puddin' and Beth! tielan Report post Posted July 19, 2015 I got this in a decant circle back when the bath oil first came out and never tried it. Am I late or am I late? Yes, I'm late. But I finally tried a dab of this in my bath and I kind of regret not getting a full bottle of it the first time! I smell amazing. Sweet but not sugary, and the cream is definitely there. The amber is doing amazing things on my skin, and the lotus and teak are anchoring it with that hint of freshness that keeps it from getting too musty. So nice.
