brilliantcat Report post Posted February 1, 2013 What else could possibly be more lickable at Yuletide? This is a candy cane perfume, minty, sweet and sugared. In the bottle: Minty candy.Immediately after application: Sinus-clearing mint, which I LOVE. Mint usually fades fast on me, I hope this lasts.Warming up: Minty and almost a vanilla-like sweetness.Fading: Slightly sweet soft mint.Faded: Average throw, short wear.Overall: Argh, I wish mint lasted longer on me Not sure if I want a bottle since it fades so fast.Rating: 4/5. sunlitgarden Report post Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Lick It Vigorously is a delicious, sweet minty scent. To me it's somewhere in between mint tea and a candy cane -- it's sweeter than mint tea, but not quite as sweet as a candy cane. I love the smell, but I don't wear it as a perfume because on me the mint has a VERY strong cooling effect where applied. Like, it feels like I put an ice cube in the spot and the feeling lasts for at least 30 minutes. It's wonderful in summer, though, when it gets too hot (my apartment does not have air conditioning and sometimes can get very stuffy). I did go overboard one time though, which was pretty unpleasant, and felt almost feverish. Would not recommend doing that. I just put a bit on my pulse points and am mentally transported to a chilly wonderland! Edited July 2, 2015 by sunlitgarden
Soupy Twist Report post Posted October 6, 2016 In the bottle it's the inside of a candy cane. Goes on as more mint and less sugar, and not really any vanilla in this one. Definitely a sinus-clearer, and oop! there's the light burn after about two minutes. Like One More Time minus any powdered sugar note. Damn, the burn gets fierce as it dries. This is almost straight-up peppermint oil without any of the sugar or vanilla of other years, although it's not bitter.
dementia_divine Report post Posted June 5, 2018 In the decant: This Lick It is stronger on the mint than the sugar! Wet: There’s a blast of mint accompanied by some sugar. But the mint is a cool peppermint, not the kind that leaves a cold burn on your skin. Dry: The cool peppermint is still going strong. It’s actually tingling my skin now. There’s still some sugar present, but it is not nearly as sugary as I’d like, and I’m not picking up on any vanilla. After a few hours, I get a soft, sugared mint backed by a base of vanilla. Yaaaas! Verdict: I am really glad I got to try this variation of Lick It! It is very strong on the mint, but fortunately, the sugar and vanilla ended up becoming more prominent after a while, after the mint calmed down. I’m going to hang on to my decant and wear it on hot summer days or when I need a sinus-clearing scent.
