BPAL Madness!

Red bush tea, vanilla, white peach, golden amber, mandarin, lotus root, and myrrh.

Light scent of perfume with a hint of fir trees. Upon my skin, sweetness and fir becomes stronger and reminds me of something I might smell on a male. Yes very sexy, will have to try it on him tonight!

In spite of all the cool notes that are in this, it starts off very nondescript indeed, and if anything turns into a vaguely-sour generic cologne scent on my skin, before evaporating entirely before many hours have passed. Just not meant to be.

In the vial, it's peach and lotus root and myrrh. Color, red gold.

Wet on my skin, this is the myrrh I like. The tea, amber, and peach temper it to the point that it doesn't give me a headache. This I could see going well with my garb (Ottoman Turkish), but I don't know if I could wear it to summer events or if it would be too heavy for War. Maybe at night?

10-15 minute drydown - Very nice. Feminine without the florals. I like this a lot.

In the Bottle: smells like perfumed hand lotion

Wet on Skin: more perfumey than I would have expected

While Drying: The lotus is prominent, giving the blend a watery feel.

After a Little While: Starts to develop a bit of spiciness. Heavier on the red bush & fruit side of the equation, with little to no vanilla, myrrh or amber.

Unveiled earns a 3/5 on my skin.

I'm not getting much of any one note here. It's very sweet and perfumey, maybe a bit of peach, lotus, and something like cherry blossom. I wish I got some myrrh, vanilla and red tea, but those seem to be the notes most absent for me. Unveiled is a watery fruity floral and, while pleasant, doesn't do a lot for me.

I really adore this blend..very artistic and well blended. The delicate , soft and layes nature of the blend reminds of sheer layers being pulled apart and then falling together in a perfect blend. The amber combined with the peach is what does it for me and the tea with fruit is just frosting on the cupcake. Feminine, elegant, harmonious and beautiful.

In bottle: I mostly get redbush tea and myrhh with a bit of lotus.

On me: Sweetened redbush tea. Overall, it's very well-blended, with no note really sticking out above the rest.

Overall: This is a very nicely blended scent. It's lightly sweet and delicate, but I think my skin kinda eats it a bit too much for me to wear. :(

In the Vial: I got an empty bottle of this as a sniffy, and am I ever glad I did! I am already in love. The tea is wondrously strong, and backed by a spicy note that screams Oriental to me, though I can't figure out what it actually is... maybe the golden amber? The peach and mandarin are peeking through just enough to give this a light, tart feel.

Wet: Miraculously, I managed to get a good drop of oil after letting the bottle sit upside-down for five minutes! There's a brief flash of citrus tartness, but it quickly calms down and dries out. One second I think I smell the vanilla, but then it's gone. Sadly, the spiciness is fading.

Dry: The mandarin is growing stronger, but I can still smell the peach, too. The tea is still there, but very subtle - I keep forgetting about it! And I think I'm finally getting the lotus root, because there's definitely a floral quality to this now. I just wish the vanilla would come out to play! It's there if I breathe reeeeeeeally deeply, but only just.

An Hour Later: The bright citrus has mellowed out into a light, sweet, fruity, and ever-so-slightly spicy scent.

Overall: I wish that spicy Oriental feel lasted longer than it did, but nonetheless, I love this. It's lighter and prettier than what I usually like to wear, but I think I'll really enjoy this in the summer. I'll definitely be hunting down decants to fill up my empty bottle!

Fruity peach tea is all I seem to smell. I can't find the vanilla or the myrrh, although this is very well-blended so that it is difficult to pick out notes. I think the lotus contributed a sweet aquatic note which left at the drydown stage. This is a very light scent, with little staying power. My decant is over a year old now, so I'm not hopeful that it will improve much more.

Unveiled smells almost EXACTLY like Chanel Coco's drydown: dark, spicy woods with an undercurrent of something velvety and warm, like a favorite chocolate-brown cashmere sweater handed down to you from a chic and elegant auntie or grandmother. Unveiled has so many bad notes for me (peach, myrrh, mandarin) that this should NOT have bloomed into a cousin of my favorite perfume of all time, but she has, and now I must go hunt down a bottle.

EDIT: Turns out I never had a bottle, it was something else. >_>

ITI: The red brush tea is pretty clear on first sniff, followed by the sweetness of lotus and peach. It's certainly a pretty scent.

Wet: Hmm, spicy, clean, and berry-based, which I assume is front the teal. There is a luscious aspect from the peach and the myrrh offers a subdued spice that doesn't overpower but balances the notes very well.

Dry: I get myrrh, red brush tea, amber, and just a hint of fruit. It's wearable and feminine.

This is pretty nice. I'm not sure if I can pick out a single particularly strong note. It's really well blended and very harmonious. Light, pretty, sort of a peachy amber with tea over the top.

It's one of those scents that would probably smell great on everyone and be appropriate in every situation. If you like light tea scents, try this. Really.
