detritius Report post Posted February 24, 2012 The stickiest thing you shouldn't lick this winter. Peppermint candy cane with an extra jolt of sugar. This is a cold, sharp, dry Lick It, particularly compared to this year's softer, sweeter Lick It Discreetly. It reminds me of snow, somehow, like the smell of coming snow mixed up with peppermint. Chilly and wintery and oh-so good.
aquazoo Report post Posted January 26, 2014 Very clean peppermint. It fades into the sugar, with just a touch of mint.
JuliskaMarie Report post Posted August 18, 2014 In the bottle: Like a really strong peppermint candy cane!Wet on skin: WOAH I AM A CANDY CANE! Sweet, Menthol-y Peppermint. Very yummy, wakes you right up & clears a stuffy nose, haha!Dry on skin: Pretty much the same as wet, only a little more faded. The menthol is now slightly more prominant than the peppermint, but still very much candy cane deliciousness. After a few hours: Gone. Completely gone. There is a TINY hint of menthol if I sniff my wrist really closely, but otherwise nope. It had faded to almost nothing about an hour after I applied it.Verdict: This is the first Lick It I've tried, so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I love it! It doesn't last long at all, so it's definitely not an all-day perfume (maybe if layered with something else?), but really good for a quick pick-me-up! Soupy Twist Report post Posted February 5, 2016 An "old" candy cane in the bottle. Goes on as a dusty, fuzzy candy cane, like it was dropped on the rug. This dries a bit sour, and quickly fades to "stale." It's almost gone in a few minutes, which is kind of shocking.I have no idea how the Lab can take what is essentially the same formulation and have it come out so differently from year to year. Klepz Report post Posted July 4, 2016 Oh no! I picked this up from a lovely forumite hoping it could stand in for my long-gone bottle of Lick It Softly. Straight from the bottle, the scent is more bracing and a tiny bit sharper in a medicinal way, but still quite similar. The longer it sits on my skin, though, the stranger it gets. Lick It Til It's Sticky smells strongly of menthol, not candy canes, and by the time it's completely dry, I feel like I've rubbed Vicks Vapor Rub all over myself. I ended up getting quite anxious while wearing it and had to wash it off. Kind of devastated
dementia_divine Report post Posted June 5, 2018 In the decant: Definitely smells like a candy cane! Wet: This Lick It does not contain a bracing mint. It’s a soft one, and sugary, and it does seem as if this candy cane has been licked. But there’s a dusty quality to this one, like it has been dropped on the ground. I wonder if that bit of oddness is meant to be a metallic note or just my skin doing weird things. Dry: This smells like a mixture of peppermint leaves to me and cough drops with menthol in them. It definitely smells less candy-like on my skin now. I’m not picking up on any vanilla. After a while, it just smells like dusty cough drop to me. Even the boy says he can smell a dustiness to the scent on me. Verdict: I am glad that I got to try this, as I am curious about the different variations of Lick It, but this is the Lick It scent I’ve tried that I like the least so far, as there was not enough sugar for me, and I did not get any vanilla. And then there was the odd dusty quality to it on my skin. Not for me.
