kebechet Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Hi all! I found a cyber café that wasn’t too crowded so I could say hello to one of our February birthday girls [lurve you, la biscuit!], and I see that many of my shipments have disappeared. Maybe I shouldn’t have checked the forums and my email. It hasn’t been the most relaxing trip, and this is giving me a tic. The only news that I have from the storefront is that a friend went to a swap meet or farmer’s market or some such thing over the weekend and saw some BPAL oils for sale. I don’t know the whole story – to be honest, it’s the last thing I wanted to hear while I was away – but I’ll get the details when I get back. Suffice to say, this is something I never sanctioned, and may answer some questions. Fucking SWAP MEET. Bad news about Ted’s tournament, too. The LA Riot lost all their games, came in second to last, and Ted received a gnarly slapshot to the left shoulder that somehow got under his chest protector. He has a fist-sized bruise there and it scraped off a nice chunk of skin. What’s worse is that he sustained a very weird injury to his elbow in the first game – either a cut from the ice or a cut from something in his equipment – that became infected within the day. I’ll spare you the gory details, suffice to say he spent all of yesterday and this morning in bed with a very high fever brought on by the infection. The good news is that I think he sweated it all out in the middle of the night. He seems fine now. I witnessed my first lap dance this weekend. Didn’t get one myself, heh. Made friends with all the waitresses in a strip bar across the street from the Hard Rock, too. Nice people. More stories about LV later. I think the guy behind me wants me to get the hell off the computer so he can play Diablo. Har. Anyway, it looks like I’ll have to do a hell of a lot of reshipping, sleuth work, and screaming once I get back. At the moment I’m considering postponing reopening the store until all this is taken care of. It would be irresponsible for me to do otherwise. All I can say is that I’ll make restitution for anything that has disappeared in transit. Eventually the USPS will reimburse me. I hope. I’ve yet to see a single insurance claim go through. I hope everyone is having a gloriously beautiful week. I miss you guys! I’ll see you all online in two days.

shewasafraud Report post Posted February 24, 2004 aw, poor elizabeth. oh well, i guess you'll always have the sweet satisfaction of knowing that karma's a bitch, and that the shady person who swiped your oils will get his/her payback one day. but most of all, remember to relax and forget about your worries. that's what you're in vegas for! littleblu Report post Posted February 24, 2004 I was so hoping that this would be lovely, lush, blissful rest for all of you! Grrrrrrrrr!! I agree with shewasafraud - sounds to me like someone has a real come back heading their way.. or else I might come over swinging my viking axe and bring justice myself! (I do have one..in my mind...sorry - very little sleep last couple of days and brain is doing weird things...) I hope you'll have a great birthday and enjoy the rest of your holiday! xxx
lorajc Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Beth, Sorry to hear all the news!! Things are bound to get better. I was starting to think someone was stealing the packages, as mine have all been huge orders and they seem to "get lost" quite often. I'm so sorry about repacking and shipping, etc. PMS & and a handgun!!! Let me find that F$#cker selling your oils. I bet a large part of them are the dozens and dozens of my 5 ml bottles. I hope you can get it straightened out soon. This whole situation really bites. Karma is a bitch. Now breatheeeeeeeeeeeeee Please try to relax and enjoy the rest of Vegas...Hey, maybe you'll hit a big jackpot. Good Luck!
any_old_actress Report post Posted February 24, 2004 sorry to hear about ted, sounds ghastly! and i'm doubly sorry that your trip has proven to be so hellish - i agree with shewasafraud, keep in mind that karma is a bitch and if someone is deliberately sabotaging your shipments - they'll get theirs (they have a lot of people all around the globe just a little more than pissed off at the moment!!!!) Sistinas Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Hey I am enjoying the rain we have been getting here in LV. This is the most rain we have had in quite awhile. Supposedly LV has been experiencing a drought for the past couple of years, tho you wouldn't know it by all the construction that has been going on, but that is a different story. Sorry to hear about Ted's injury, I do hope he is mending up well. If you happen to read this while still in LV, I would reccomend the Olympic Garden on the strip for his and her lap dances, never had one myself either. I do hope you are having some fun while you are here. Btw, Happy Bday too!!!
chai_girl Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Happy Birthday! I'm sorry things aren't going well in Vegas. That is a bummer about Ted's injuries. What position does he play? Goalie? I'm sorry about the mess with the shipments...and I truly believe in the 3-fold law...except that my sister won the lottery instead of me...that's still an anomaly that I don't understand. Spring is on the way and things will get better! Hugs, Lisa in Austin
Cegirls Report post Posted February 24, 2004 You weren't supposed to come here and read the USPS bullshit! Argh! lol Now you take your bruised, hockey-stud man and go have a few drinks for us! Don't worry so, girl, what goes around, comes around!
Paintsnked Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Now you take your bruised, hockey-stud man and go have a few drinks for us! Don't worry so, girl, what goes around, comes around! Hear Hear!!! Don't sweat it! It's been confusing for all and I think most of the impatience is that you have such a wonderful product that we can't wait to get our stuff. Like Christmas!!! What I feel and have been reading is people want to help you get this cleared up. So the posts are with good intentions! What I can do is drive my ass to LA and help... I live down in Escondido and drive to Lippy frequently. You don't have to pay me just feed me free coffee and let me bitch and cuse at random. I know it's not much but an extra hand and a brain that's not directly involved can make the difference... Let me know! So for now Deep Cleansing Breaths!!! Oh and as for the lap dance... Were they any good??? Did they get into thier work???
quinkel Report post Posted February 24, 2004 well, on the positive side.... your scents are so special and precious that they are worth stealing Very sorry to hear all the sh*t hun! but things will get better soon! Have a lovely birthday and who knows, maybe you wil a jackpot! Oh BTW I always bet on my age when I am in a Casino on my birthday and guess what... It Worked
Cegirls Report post Posted February 24, 2004 ...What I feel and have been reading is people want to help you get this cleared up. So the posts are with good intentions!... yes! i think i can speak for everyone here when i say we are not upset/mad/dissatisfied with you or BPAL - it's the damned USPS! so, i know that i am willing to wait and wait for my order w/o thinking i would quit doing business with you. you, ted, and brian are honest business people, and i think that all of us support you whole-heartedly! plumlicorice Report post Posted February 24, 2004 ugh, poor ted! that sounds truly awful. and the thieving and reselling, that is so low! what a rotten thing for someone to do. but somehow it doesn't surprise me. :\ i second that, cegirls. we are definitely not dissatisfied with BPAL. it's the stinking USPS! Belladonnastrap Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Oh no Poor Ted! Infections in cuts = icky icky icky. With that said enjoy the rest of your time in LV and your birthday! Don't worry it's the USPS we are irate at...not you
autumn24 Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Elizabeth!! You're totally not supposed to come here and read all this stuff. Besides, I think much of what you're reading in the line of "OH NO MY STUFF HASN'T COME YET!!" is probably well-intentioned impatience. Don't THINK about this stuff until you get back, until you and Ted are all better, etc. It MAY be a good idea to close down shop for a bit when you get back so that you don't feel so completely overwhelmed, and so you can clear house. In any case, I and my buddy Bo got our packages and they're wonderful, wonderful. *kisses* and PLEASE go get lap dances until you are left limp and breathless and the stress is completely eradicated, at least for the moment. --a. chai_girl Report post Posted February 24, 2004 I have to second the motion that you just relax and not worry about us until you get back. I am not dissatisfied with BPAL at all...Just the stupid post office. Please, please just relax and enjoy so you come back refreshed. I really hope this doesn't get to you. I understand how frustrating things can get and I hope this doesn't discourage too much. Patience has never been a virtue for me. Hugs! Go dance at the open air bar that is between Harrah's and the Imperial tonight and forget about us for a while! Hugs, Lisa in Austin

Go dance at the open air bar that is between Harrah's and the Imperial tonight and forget about us for a while! Hugs, Lisa in Austin Yes, I feel this way, too. For me the "Where's my stuff?" threads have just given me a chance to vent - NOT at BPAL, but just to express my general frustration at not having your wonderful oils in my grubby little hands yet. I sometimes have a limited ability to delay gratification . Also, I think these threads have helped some of us ease our minds, because we realize that each of us is not the ONLY one having trouble with her early February order. Anyway, I for one am not mad at BPAL or at you! You run a very ethical business, and I have no doubt that if my order doesn't show up, you'll re-send it. I hope you've been able to relax at least a little bit in Las Vegas.

You run a very ethical business, and I have no doubt that if my order doesn't show up, you'll re-send it. ^ word (from my mom - no, literally! - and i happen to concur!) uhm, which is not to say that rosefaith or chai_girl are my mom. but my mom expressed similiar sentiments on the phone tonight and for my order, i'm not at all concerned that it hasn't come coz i ordered after you closed up for vacay, so i know you haven't even processed it yet. it'd be pretty dumb of me to be mad at you when it was my own fault for not sending it sooner (and, in fact, it turned out to be GOOD that it happened that way and that you didn't see my name and say, oh it's kate, i'll sneak it in before i leave, because my uni lied to me and wasn't actually there yet - so it would have been refused for lack of funds!!)
