Sandalwood, benzoin, cardamom, calamus, palmarosa, and sage.

This is my first time reviewing something first. Yay!

My love for BPTP bath oils knows no bounds, and Patientia has just elevated it to a new level. If you love sandalwood, go buy a bottle right now. It is the most perfect sensual sandalwood oil I have ever encounterd. It is not the least bit overwhelming, which is perfect for bathing, especially if you want to put on any sort of perfume after. It leaves the slightest, prettiest scent on your skin and feels so clean and woodsy. I'm in love.

it leaves skin feeling soft and beautiful and disperses wonderfully in the bath.

I'd agree that isn't too strong of a scent at all.

gentle, woody, cardamomy.. the cardamom is the only note that I can pick up at all as I'm bathing.

and once i'm out of the bath, just a gentle sweetness.

This one is definitely a sandalwood bath oil, which is a welcome change from the floral and/or foodie scents from most BPTP bath oils. However, I think I'm not a fan of osmanthus because there is a shrill, sharp floral overtone to this blend that I don't enjoy.

 

However, if you want a woodsy/sandalwood blend, give this a whirl. At least you won't smell like flowers!

In the bottle, this reminds me of Bezoar, which I guess is the wood + cardamom combo. Woodsy, masculine, and a bit sour, but I like it.

 

Rubbed directly on my skin, it still reminds me of Bezoar at first. It's a dry, smooth woods smell with a bit of warm, amber-y sweetness from the benzoin. I also smell a tiny hint of something cool and slightly menthol-y, which might be the cardamom. As it dries down, it gets a little too sour for my tastes. I wouldn't rub this one directly on to my skin again, but I tested it in bath water and it was all sweet sandalwood and left a mellow, woodsy scent on my skin afterwards.

 

Patientia is nice, and probably the most masculine of the bath oils I've tried. I don't think that it's a keeper for me, though. I tend to favor sweeter scents & vanilla scents for my baths (and the occasional chilly mint scent).

Patientia is SO incredibly comforting and relaxing. Smooth sandalwood with an itty bitty spicy kick (the cardamon, I suppose). I have fallen hard for the BPTP bath oils.

This is bpal's best sandalwood imho. Better than Svaddhinaopatika, less dry than Shroud. Awesome.

I love it. If you love sandalwood, like I do, then you have to try this oil. Woodsy in the unmistakeable sandalwood-way, just a little bit spicy, not foody at all, non-flowery. For a sandalwood lover, this, imho, is perfection.

 

I'm amazed at the quality and beauty of many of BPTP's bath oils. I've been converted although I have never liked oils and I don't even take baths!

I purchased this one-ounce decant.

 

In the bottle it doesn't smell like much at all to me, maybe a touch of dry wood.

 

As soon as it got wet, though, there was a surge of resinous herby green, very soothing yet stimulating. After drying on my skin it's mostly very dry sandalwood and a little bit of dusty calamus, with hints of green. It's brighter than just sage, though, so I think that's the palmarosa.

 

It is very subtle, quite dry. I could see wanting this after a sweaty day. I don't love it enough for a bottle, but I'm definitely keeping my decant; we'll see whether it grows on me.

Patientia Bath Oil - This is the lovely scent of spicy cardamom and herbal greenery against the very solid backdrop of a lovely sandalwood base. Very woody, herbal, outdoorsy, and organic smelling. Love it!

Patientia has a smooth wooden feel to it, like something you'd find in a Buddhist temple. And it has a slight grassy note, like a late summer field coming from it as well. Finally, the sage in it makes this blend the best for scrubbing away some seriously bad juju, if you should find yourself feeling hexed.

I bought this unsniffed because the notes sounded so great and so me.

I must amp palmarosa or sage or *something* because this is knock-me-over strong. And for some reason smells like Old Spice. I can't deal with smelling like my dad so get thee hence.

Desert herbs, and warm sands...not what I expected! Driftwood and blazing heat....this is such a warm scent, and so incredibly pleasant. Love it way more than expected, and currently wishing for a perfume in the same scent. Why are more people not raving about this! It's gorgeous! It's one of those "I could happily smell like this every day" kind of scents. I love it, and am challenged to pick out a single note it's so well blended. Beautiful! Will buy more when I use this up.
