It's that moment after you've had a good cry into your pillow, and you're just lying there in the darkness, fresh tear tracks on your face, your head still throbbing and your throat still raw. And you close your eyes and feel the pain settle in your stomach and turn into despair. And you know the reason you stopped crying isn't because you've gotten over it, but just because you're too tired to care anymore. It's not quite a cathartic scent for me.
