Domestic Shipping Rescale as of the Halloween Update

Shipping was rescaled as of the Halloween update.

 

We rescaled shipping again as of the Halloween update; basically, we incorporated flat rate priority for midrange orders. This was supposed to take effect with the update, but there was a glitch in the system.

 

When the USPS price hike occurred, we had to make a lot of changes on shipping that we were not happy with -- we felt the agony of the shipping price hike as much as our customers did. Since that hike, we have done our best to rescale shipping, for both domestic and international customers, as options became available. We had to change things around many, many times in our attempts to make things as reasonable and fair to our customers as possible without losing our shirt the way we did when the shipping hike first occurred. I know its been confusing -- it has been confusing for us, too -- but it was in the interest of keeping costs as low as possible. The update’s shipping change is the best we can do. The cost of our materials to ship hasn’t gone down any, we absorb much of the insurance costs and all the costs of reshipping lost packages that the USPS won’t cover despite insurance. Its been rough on our end, and I apologize if there have been any problems with our shopping cart during the period in which we implemented the changes. If you placed an order after the Halloween update went live, and the CcNow cart did not charge you correctly, please let us know via the customer service email address and we will work to rectify the situation.
