rayvn1 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 Cassia-caked cocoa coconut over angel food cake. I have a decant from the lovely saralaughs and it went on pretty much the same as it did for her More of the cocoa going on at the beginning and bright, sweet smells that could have gone synthetic but most definitely did not. It dried down to sweet crumbles of coconut on top of white cake and frosting. Delectable and comforting!
SerendipityHQ Report post Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) Scored a whole bottle of this! My first MonsterBait, mmmmm- let's see how this goes. In the Bottle: Cinnamon schnapps? Errr. A super sharp, unpleasant blast of booze-y red hots. Cake? Are you in there? Wet: ARGH! Cinnamon explosion! This is *not* nice. It's a super dry single note cassia- it smells like I covered myself in spice rack cinnamon and nothing else. Sharp- like a cinnamon room spray. No way is this supposed to smell like this. Maybe it's gone off? Thirty minutes later: And it burns too. Boo. This might win the prize for single worst BPAL on my skin. Dry: I should just go wash this off this is just disgusting...HOLY CHRISTMAS! I smell gorgeous! Where did this come from? It's coconut pound-cake drenched in maple syrup. Seriously though, this goes from horrible to perfect at *exactly* the 45 minute mark each time I've tried it. It's the strangest thing. Loving it now- I can live through the wet stage to smell like this. It smells foody but totally grown-up, sophisticated foody. The only issue is the fact that it's still burninating my wrist a bit. This goes away at about the hour mark. Final Tally: Wet- 0/5 Dry 5/5 Skin- Burninating. Edited September 19, 2012 by SerendipityHQ
MiasmaResonance Report post Posted November 8, 2013 When first on, this is ALL CASSIA ALL DA TIME. It's cinnamon like dry nutty spice, but with a hint of dry cocoa and dark chocolate. I actually really like this after the first initial seconds of going cassia crazy. It's a really comforting and nostalgic scent, for some reason. It's very unique for a foody. theredkilt Report post Posted February 28, 2014 This is not a foody scent! If you are expecting a cackey chocolatey coconutty smell - FOGETABOUTIT ! This oil, imho, is ANDROGENOUS. I can see confident, extrovert and badass people ONLY wearing it! It smells like a slice of angel food cake sprinkled with cocoa-cassia powder and drenched in gasoline. WOW! LizziesLuck Report post Posted August 16, 2015 I like this a lot. It's super foodie on me, which I love. I recently rediscovered my love for it after almost selling it by accident, yikes! I get cake, which is a favourite note of mine, and tons of cassis and sweetness. Spicy-sweet goodness!
ramblingrambler Report post Posted May 16, 2018 Ow. I want to love this because it smells so friggin good, but my entire arm is a red stinging mess right now. I scrubbed it off with a regular soap and a surfactant and applied some carrier oils to area, but it is still red and stings bloody well bad an hour later. Just a warning to anyone with cinnamon or cassia sensitivities! (I only recently got these sensitivities, and I felt emboldened by my last test of Loved To Death which only gave me the smallest tinge of redness and stinging directly where applied. This one was all out hellfire on my whole arm—either because it traveled while wet or because my skin hated it, not sure!) BUT!!!! It does smell great . It’s a yummy angel food cake with coconut, cocoa, and cinnamon (cassia) frosting. Too bad I can’t wear this, but yay for someone else!
