That's a shame about the vanilla because I really don't like those scents so I don't wear them. Oddly enough the one time I was complimented by a guy on my BPAL was when I was wearing The Cracked Bell and he said it smelled like vanilla. So again with the vanilla but god knows how he got that from what I was wearing.

Even guys (and girls) who claim to dislike perfume give me compliments when I wear Hunger or Hell's Belle.

 

My not-so-secret weapons, depending on my mood, are hades, Helle's Belle, Hunger, and Marquise de Merteuil. They all act like sugar does to bees.

My boyfriend just a few weeks ago told me that Dragon's Heart smelled like dirty, kinky sex and grinned. Smug little bastard.

 

I really like R'lyeh on him and I'm going to be trying some more oils on him as soon as I get my next order, but I'm not sure if he's going to bite on his own. I'll have to mix BPAL in his leave-in conditioner and everything else for him to wear it. I do think he will be properly enabled soon

I have to say, Hellcat was well liked by it's most recent male reviewer.

He had teased me for feeding my addiction earlier in the day with an order off ebay, sniffed it on my wrists, said it was ok. However, as I left, and he smelled it in my hair and on my neck, he stammered out that I smelled, "really good."

However, I've also seen him act rather forward when I've worn Mars and Chokmah, both of which are quite different from Twenty-One.

It's the one that will turn my boy's head and make him salacious even when he's otherwise focused Granted, he thinks it smells like cookies, but what's that about men and the smell that turns them on the most being baked goods?

There have been quite a few that my boy has declared "nice" so far and "good smelling", but the two that have gotten wow reactions from him are Queen of Sheba (which he says makes his knees weak) and Vixen, which both he and his friend Jeremy agree could "really get a fella worked up."

After a night of drinking, I was wrestling with my guy on the floor, and he suddenly stopped and said, "Mmmmmm... you smell like rum and...something else. They should make that into a perfume!!" The "something else" was De Sade. Apparently the scent of a drunken libertine is irresistable. heh

 

Seriously, though, the scents that men tend to like on me are: De Sade, Geek, Jack, and any of the Pumpkin Patch scents.

 

They're never as impressed by Hellion and Devil's Night as I am, which makes me sad. hehe

I have had a lot of "luck" with Regan and Snake Oil, which are both very different scents. If you want to go along with the study that said that men like the scent of pumpkin pie, then try Jack.

My best guy friend (and mutual crush) is a huge fan of BPAL's patchouli. So far he's given me a lot of positive feedback on Anne Bonny and Luperci, and to a lesser degree, Mantis (which is more musk and herbs on me). Also, my other best guy friend has given me compliments when I've worn Noir and Blood Kiss.

 

My boyfriend is less responsive to perfumes, but in the past he's liked Circe and Ace of Pentacles, as well as Bordello (which I think I mentioned before).

I know people go on about how O smells like sex and (insert whatever description here). But all I smell are pink musk sticks when I wear it.

 

(FYI, Snake Oil smells like pink musk stick lollies on me, too. They end up smelling very similar and I'd have to wear both at once to smell a difference.)

 

So ... what else can I try that may smell like sex on me??

 

I want to know what everyone is talking about!!

I'd suggest Vixen because my boy think it *is* sex (some girl catch their guys with porn...I catch mine sniffing my bottle of Vixen!), but if Snake Oil goes bad on you I wonder if you can wear patchouli? It's a MUCH less sweet patchouli than snake oil, and the ginger gives it some bit and a certain feral feel.

I don't think it's Snake Oil going bad on me, it's just that my skin is making things sweet (which it seems to do), and there's something in Snake Oil and O that, when sweet, overpowers the rest of the scents.

 

I'm thinking maybe vanilla? Is there musk in them both, though it's not mentioned? I don't really know.

I'd say it's the sweetened vanilla giving you that smell.

 

I rather love snake oil but can only do O occasionally because it's too cloying.

 

I'm not sure what people mean by smelling like sex- personally, it's not something I WANT to find in a perfume bottle so is there a difference between "makes me want sex" and "actually smells LIKE sex"???

What exactly do you think sex smells like? Like, what sort of notes would embody sex for you? I am curious, lol. People always tell me that things smell like sex... and it's not what I think of at all. I duplicated with BPAL the way that my current boy smells (I'm weird, I know), but isn't the sexy smell different for everyone?

 

O smells like chocolate covered cherries on me and Snake Oil smells just... oily, dirty, and bad on me. Neither one of them made me think about the smell of sex though.

 

The mixture that I made to smell like my boy is really personal to me, and probably wouldn't make other people think about sex, but it makes me swoon.

 

I'll stop rambling now.
