This will be the last blog post for ketchup I think. All of the questions after this will be added to my big Google document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AFR_HSlpnbVyQIscmNF9gjKXC6yna9md-bzBvOKNrb8 Witch, you can also ask me questions anonymously through that document! 9/23-9/28 Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye? Surprisingly, not at the moment. Much of what I'm seeing is earrings which I don't wear. And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet? HollysRainbow (Greenwoodtree) mentions gluten free baked goods. Nothing is listed, but i'm always interested in GF baked goods. Haus of Gloi update is live; is there anything you're interested in? I like their bar soaps, and would love to try the soft bubbling scrub and pumpkin butter. Their oils are very hit and miss on me, so decants/sample vials would be best. The whipped soaps seem to be very drying on me skin. The scents I'm interested in are: Hex, Samhain II, Persephone’s Decent, Spider Silk, The Horseman, Cozy Pumpkin Coloring Books? I already have 3 I barely use, although I am lusting after the Disney Villains and Poe coloring books. Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney Possibly. I can't seem to find it in a Google search (??). If it's within the scope of my preferred reading (in my original questionairre) then sure! Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc? I do not. I'm Atheist, although I had pagan leanings when I was younger. I appreciate many of their holidays and symbolism. There are some items I might display but I can be rather particular about that though (it has to hold particular meaning or significance to me), so probably best to avoid these for me. Anyone hankering for Craftsy classes? Not currently. Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? I love puzzles. I don't have many jigsaw puzzles, although I don't have much space to do them. I have some puzzle books already, so while i wouldn't say no to one, I have several I've yet to get through. Same thing with coloring books. Card games and board games are my main "jam", as I can play them with others. My Amazon wishlist has several games I'm currently interested in, but I'm open to new suggestions. Would you like any brown paper bags of "seconds" from Seattle Chocolates? It looks like they have gluten free items, so anything in that section would be fine. Anything from http://www.beefolks.com suit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?) All of the honeys sound amazing, so any of those would be fine. The mead kits look interesting, as does the honey dust and sticks. Any other renn Faire goodies in general? Here are the artisans there: http://www.rennfest....mation/artisan Nothing in particular (it's a bit much to go through right now)

Questions that were added/asked in the SW Forum Post: Hibiscus seeds? No thank you. We have a hibiscus plant that has utterly taken over the backyard. Off-color needlepoint? Yes please. I have a pretty wicked sense of humor. *waggles eyebrows* What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) update? More than I expected! I’m very interested in all of the current Lunacy offerings: Leda, Coconut Meat SN, Starstruck: Libra From the Lilith/Motherhood update:Scents I'm curious about and want to try (decants would be excellent): "A Little More Tea" "Baby’s First Krampuslauf" "Connecting Flight" "Good Morning London" "Heavenly Spark" "Little Lady Frankenstein" "O The Joy of My Spirit!" "Stonehenge at Dusk" "Texare" Scents I'm pretty sure I want/would buy: Reapers Gonna Reap Spider Witch The Great Python Snake From the Trading Post: I'd love to try: Lilith's hair gloss Tag Upon Avon The Great London Spaghetti Hunt and i'm pretty sure I "need" The Serpentine Like beer? What kind? Booze? I used to love a good dark Stout, but unfortunately being gluten free that’s not really an option. I’ve not yet found a gluten free beer I really like, because they tend to be very light. But I am open to gluten free craft beers! Just be careful that they aren’t “gluten removed” beers. Those aren’t really gluten free and will make me sick. Most liquor is gluten free, but if there’s added colors or flavors you may want to check. This is a really handy list/guide that’s up to date: http://urbantastebud.com/gluten-free-alcohol-list/ If it’s something homemade like everclear with added herbs or flowers, it should be fine as long as barely, malt, and wheat aren’t included. Malt beverages (like wine coolers) are NOT gluten free and no good. My preferred liquor is Gin. I used to hate it, so now I love it, but I’m a bit of a snob. Hendricks is my absolutely favorite. I also love flavored liquors. I tend to prefer fruity or floral but not sweet, drinks. I have a fondness for cordials and liquers. Knitted items? Type? I love the idea of knitted stuff, but being in Florida there’s not much opportunity to wear them. Loose knit and knitted “lace” would be best. I do have a thing for fingerless gloves as most indoor venues (including my office) are kept freezing cold to combat the heat. I tend to prefer jewel tones and/or earthy colors (muted, sea-blues and greens and grays). Caramel? Love it. Salted. With Chocolate. With Marshmallow. With fancy flavorings. It’s just gotta be gluten free (it usually is). Would you be interested in home made food items? Yes, as long as they are gluten free/made in relatively gluten free area. (I know regular kitchens can’t be totally gluten free, but as long as it’s not near bread or flour or anything). Also! If something contains apple, just let me know so I don't let the significant other have it. (He can't tolerate apple) YES!!! To all of the below, especially rose petal liquor. - garlic dill pickles - blackberry jam - dried honey crisp apples - applesauce (with or without red hots) maybe no red hots - elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) YES! I love elderberries and elderflowers - honey from our bees - rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) - baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? Baked goods are pretty much out, unless your kitchen is completely gluten free. Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? It depends on the size and shape. Drawstring pouch bags maybe not, but something like a side bag, messenger bag, purse, yes! Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? No allergies here! I’ve not had enough experience with yarns to have a preference, except all of my experience with acylic is that it’s been really itchy. I have no issue with animal fibers. Would you want a quilted pot holder? (for me no because i make them) Actually I need pot holders, of different sizes, so yes! Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread? I have a fondness for shortbread of any flavor. Earl Grey and Lemon are favorites, but again, it's gotta be gluten free, and made in a gluten free kitchen. Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK? I'm not sure. I don't think so? Maybe tea? Socks/sockdreams/etc? Yes! I've been wanting more funky socks, and some more knee highs but I'm not sure exactly what I want. Stripes are always good. I'm also on the look out/in need of "sock tape" or something that will keep knee highs and high socks from slouching. I haven't looked at the sockdreams site in years though so I don't know what I want anymore. Is there anything you would like to get from Japan? I'm not sure. I really miss Japan (I visited in 2007) but now that I'm gluten free I can't really partake in the food goodies. I like anime but there's nothing immediate that comes to mind that I'd want. Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?) Yes!!

Hey Witch I'm hoping this blog entry finds you well. I'm still wondering who you are! Do you actually live in Portland or are you just very sneaky? Hmm. We are having a good autumn! Sopi and I are going to be picking pumpkins here pretty soon. We made silly paper ones, heh. I don't think we'll cut them open. I hear that a cut pumpkin outside turns into e bug hotel here in the South. *wretches* KETCHUP! Lotion: I usually use coconut oil for moisturizing though I do like Villainess' Whippeds. I have bought Quick or Dead, Mall Santa and Ennui (for my spouse). But I shower at night and like to go to bed not smelling like stuff generally, though I have worn a few cozy NA scents to bed. It's not a daily thing by any means. The Reveal! If you don't want me to have an anuerysm, please, for the love of Hermes, reveal yourself. It might actually cause blood vessels in my brain to explode. How you reveal yourself? I have no preference. But honestly, please, reveal yourself. Costumes for pets: My cats are very mellow and might actually wear costumes for a few minutes. But they hate stuff around their neck, so...probably a bad idea. Starbucks Bear: I hate starbucks coffee and I don't need stuffed animals. I like werewolves though. Tartchef's New Soap: I haven't tried any of her soaps. Sandalwood Vanilla? This is it, right? Since I dont use a lot of scented soaps, I dunno how. When it comes to perfume, Sandalwood can go powdery on me (though I have a really nice Sandalwood EO) and Vanilla has to be...pretty remarkable. I like the vanilla in Crowley and Eternal Ankh, as well as vanilla musk. *shrug* Your call. More with the pickiness Sorry, Witch! I'm a jerk today. I you for being my Witch! -
Bruja de cambia: Gracias para el regalo!

En espanol! Just kidding! Witch O'Mine, I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful package. It was very sweet. I have been kind of missing Portland a little bit so wonderful tea from there made me happy. I wore the earrings to work! And my daughter loved the stickers! I hope you saw the comments she made in the IGI thread. She put the owl stickers all over herself, heh. Portents to come. A tattooed baby. And the chocolate was very yummy I needed a sweet fix yesterday night and the xocolatl was good! Sweet enough to satisfy me but spicy enough to keep me from eating the whole thing! You are very sweet and good at making cards too And packaging Here is more ketchup for you: Sugar Skull: Now that I know I'm not supposed to eat it, I am open to it. However, I live in the South. I dont know how that would affect said sugar skull. But I don't do a day of the dead thing. Like most Americans, I don't think about dead people in my family, just numbers in the news and what not. Lentils: I like lentils, especially french lentils. I make lentil soup a lot in the winter months. My daughter loves any kind of soup and my spouse loves lentils. I make a pretty mean lentil soup. A bit of white wine and thyme goes a long way. Purses: I have two purses. A utilitarian bag with lots of space/pockets for a mom and a black 'leather' purse for when I don't need to schlep stuff. I pretty much always need to schlep stuff though, hehe. And my bags ALWAYS need handles! I cannot do a clutch! I would lose it. Haunt Update: I haven't looked at it :/ Tengo miedo para me cartera. I like beets. I make beet salsa! If you cut beets up into little cubes, spread them out on a baking sheet after sprinkling on a bit of olive oil and salt, roast them at 400 degrees till they're done (I know, real descriptive...keep an eye on them after 20 mins?), then put in a bowl with chopped red onion, cilantro, garlic, lime juice and a splash of red vinegar, let it chill in the fridge for a bit and you will have yummy salsa ready for fish tacos! It's yummy! Okies, that is all! I LOVE YOU, WITCH!-

First of all, I want to say thank you for mentioning my daughter in the card you sent. It really meant a lot to me and was very sweet. I appreciate it. Rollerballs: I don't need any but I suspect my daughter does. She spilled a partial bottle of Beaver Moon all over herself the other day (granted, she said she *wanted* to spill it all over herself...but yeah). That reminds me of something, thanks Witch! Villainess: Okay, ALL of the new ones sound great :/ However, I am lamenting the fact that my skin is on the dryer side and does not always agree with their soap. I am a lazy moisturizer! It's sad, I know! It's because I don't always have time after I shower (at night) to properly moisturize. Even the smooches, with all their oily goodness dry me out. I think I need to only stick to their Whippeds Though I might get a pumpkin soap for my daughter, her skin is way more forgiving than mine and she just finished her bar of Pieman I like giving her the super foodie scents I hope you are having a good week, Witch! Autumn came in with rain and cool weather and I am very happy because of it. I'm actually a BIT nostalgic for the NW!-

More SW ANSWERS: PLEASE, NO ZOMBIES
backthatelfup posted a blog entry in trisj, aka The Elven Fascist
Okay, I copied and pasted the questions and answers from someone on the SW thread; hopefully I am caffeinated enough to do this right. I think I did this right! 9/22/10 Do you have a deviantart print wishlist or favourites list?: Minime, amice. That means 'No, friend' in Latin. To my knowledge. Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? Halloween update?: I havent even looked at the Blooddrop site in a long time. I am happy with the 2 (3?) etailers I have, heh What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes? I wear size 10s. I guess I *SHOULD* come up with shoes I want/need because I don't have many...but I only ever wear like, earth shoes or things of that nature. A pair of ballet flats would be nice. I did recently get a pair of smoking hot Clark's boots. Brown would be good. Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books?: I rarely have time to perform the zen task of coloring and my child would automatically assume they were for her. She loves coloring books Do you like weird scary things as traditionally girly fashion items like heels and handbags?: My creepy thing of choice is Cthulhu. What song is on heavy rotation for you right now?: Hmmm...I don't usually have a song just playing; our music set up makes me usually put on an whole record. Been listening to a lot of Queen as of late. Are you coveting any of the NYCC atmospheric sprays?: There were sprays? I am like, the only BPALer who doesn't use atmo sprays, I think. If you could get any one thing hand-painted from your witch, what would it be and what would be on it?: Um...my husband. A box would be cool Would you (assumin' you're a yarnie) be interested in a naturally-dyed yarn that's designed to very gradually fade with washing?: Not into yarn currently. If you have played before, what are some of the most memorable things you've gotten? What really made you go WOW? If you haven't played, same thing, but not limited to SW.: The coolest things I've ever gotten have been from my spouse. he always gets the perfect thing because he listens. My dad/step mom got me an edible arrangement once and I almost fell over. I never would have thought of that but I love food, heh. 9/21/10 Do you like garlic? Do you REALLY like garlic? Would you want to try some really unusual garlic stuff, like garlic cheese or garlic fudge or garlic chocolate, etc., etc., etc.?: While I love garlic, please, no sweet garlic Can I talk to you about the living dead? How do you feel about Zombies?: I like Shawn of the Dead. And 28 Days Later. I like the genre as social commentary. I hate bloody messes. My spouse watched 'Dead Set' adjacent to me and it drove me crazy, all the blood and screaming. I have a kid and I worry about having to run away from zombies with her. Yes, I do this. 9/20/10 If you happened to be my Witchee, is there something you'd like from the Arcana Halloween update?: *shakes head* Haven't even checked it out. I should add, I won't cry and throw a bottle from another e-tailer up against the wall and what not, heh. I currently am buying from BPAL, NA and The Beer Soap Company/Zaja Natural in addition to the essential oils I get and I'm worried about getting another love, heh. However, if you know something I don't, if you think I would like it, I don't want to deny you the pleasure of enabling and sharing an e-tailer you love How many bottles of BPAL do you have?: Around 20 Is there any exercise program that you're interesting in learning? Meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Belly Dancing, Zumba ect? Or if you do any of these (or anything else sport related) are there any things you need/want? Candles, music, mats, water bottles ect?: If there was an exercise regiment where I get to eat ice cream and drink beer, sign me up. Anyone else into Emily Autumn?: Who? Whaaa? What's on your walls? Please show us up to three paintings/posters/whatever. If you love a painting so much that you would steal (to watch it with your greedy eyes) one, please share.: I posted the three in the thread proper. I would steal a William Blake print; not sure which one in particular. Or maybe something Egyptian.... Rocks: Me likey rocks. Moonstone is one of my faves, jade, malachite...labrodite? I love rubies (birthstone) as well. Lapiz Lazuli...yes. Dark green, mossy colored rocks, moony rocks, yeah....-

Warning: I am out of coffee. Questions from lioness' blog. Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it?? I actually think I have most every movie I want. Being a pirate helps. Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after? No. Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?) No thank you. Do you like the candy apple, candy corn or pumpkin spice kisses? No thank you Anne Taintor, anyone? I have no idea who that is. Which web comics do you enjoy? Order of the Stick, Speaks with Monsters and..Oglaf (NSFW). Notice a theme? If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? I think I answered this questions. Don't like scarves? Would a rectangular shawl or triangular shawl be more to your taste? I like scarves but like rectangular shawls as well How do you feel about recipes? I love recipes. I like pictures with them of the end product What kind of a cook/baker are you? I am a pretty good cook and baker. I like to cook and like to figure out recipes myself from time to time/improvise. I really do like cooking for my fam but right now have a hard time making food just for a little kid and myself. I like to make roasts and use the leftover. I use my cast iron pan as much as I can and will be using my crockpot a lot this winter. Baking, I wish I did more. The thing I bake the most is bagels, believe it or not. I have a stand mixer that I LOVE. You reminded me, I have to get good cookie sheets. Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I've actually considered trying out for that Food Network contest...:/ We also don't have a microwave. If I send you something home made would you like the reciepe for it? That would rock. If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? Either would work. How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? Sure but no raisins. I hate raisins. if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens? I like pu-er, genmaicha and red teas Please, for the love of pants, do not send eyeball or vagina jewelery (sp?).-
