I've always had a thing for cherry blossom. I used to religiously put on B&BW's Japanese Cherry Blossom or White Cherry Blossom (still do if I feel inclined), so when I saw Hanami on the BPAL update I had to have it. In the bottle: Pure cherry blossom love. No wisteria or ume...yet. Wet on skin: Still cherry blossoms then it slowly turns dark. Could be my cycle causing it to morph. It isn't bad though, very delicious in fact. Dry on skin: Dark sakura with some wisteria and/or ume. I haven't smelled wisteria or ume separately so I'm not sure which one is coming out alongside the sakura. Either way it's lovely. Conclusion: I wish I had brought 2 bottles of this stuff because I love it. It's not overpowering unless I shove my nose against my wrist but I have that problem with any cherry blossom scent. This is a very beautiful scent; delicate and the lasting power is good, too.

Got my decant of the '07 Sugar Skull and it was the most blissful experience I've ever experienced. In the imp: It smells just like creme brulee goodness. All caramelized sugar and sweetness. Just yum. Wet on skin: My nose was glued to my wrist on the way to work tonight. It still has the sugary goodness to it. Dry: It must be love because it's musky yet still sweet. And I'm a sucker for a good scent that turns musky on drydown. Conclusion: Better buy a bottle before this one goes buh-bye!

In the imp: Sweetness incarnate; almonds, buttercream and hazelnut Wet On Skin: Oh gawd...it turned rancid on me. Smells more like a hellcat's butt. The almond becomes this sickly nasty thing. I guess my chemistry hates almond. Dry on skin: Still hellcat butt. Conclusion: I'll probably keep this around to see how it ages or use it as an oil burner scent because it smells pretty good when not on my skin.

In the imp: Mmm... It smells like sweet delicious caramel which I'm a sucker for. Wet: More caramel scented goodness with the Irish Cream coming out. Not overpowering which I love. Dry: Turns dusty bookish (which I love the smell of old dusty books) with the coffee lingering on the edges sweetly. Conclusion: Misk U is a bottle buy because I love it so much that I may have to hoard it!

In the bottle: Ostara smelled musky to me. Wet: I smell like Sunday morning service at a Baptist church which is strangely calming to me. It's a very sweet floral and very strong. Dry: The same as it was wet. Just stronger if that's possible. In the end: It's a lovely scent, very calming and very spiritual. I probably won't wear it often but when I do I know my mood will pick up with just a simple sniff.
