Wet: bubblegum, strong bubblegum Drydown in the beginning: Theres an air freshner somewhere that smells like this, one of those automatic ones, cant place where... not unpleasant, but not what I want to wear. Extreme drydown: Ahhh lotus, there it is... nice, but it takes a while to get to this phase.

... This is a Mexican paean to La Huesuda: dry, crackling leaves, the incense smoke of altars honoring Death and the Dead, funeral bouquets, the candies, chocolates, foods and tobacco of the ofrenda, amaranth, sweet cactus blossom and desert cereus. In the bottle: Holy jumping bejeebus Jasmine!!! Wet on skin: maybe its the fact that I havent slept in 24 hours but I'm picturing little Jasmine devils with pitchforks attacking my face. Yeah, its the lack of sleep... I love Jasmine but this baby is STRONG! Drydown: okay, theres a lil tobacco wafting out... the Jasmine is still going strong. (teach me to slather eh?) Its starting to temper a little, I like it, the Jasmine is overpowering enough that I cant pinpoint specific notes besides the tobacco, which I tend to amp. I like it. But as I said, I like Jasmine. (note: the capital J on jasmine was intentional... this is definately jasmine with a capital J) Edit to say: the very drydown stage of this is d.i.v.i.n.e. I love this!!!

Please dont anyone bash me for this review, but it smells to me like JLo Glow with mint! ... Mind you, JLo is one of the few retail scents I can tolerate (not wear, but not retch when I smell it) I really like this in an odd way... *keeps sniffing* yesssss. nice!

Insatiable lust, unending vigor! A truly carnal, energetic men’s blend: vanilla and amber with juniper, rosewood and white pine. Wow! I'm batting a thousand with imp trials today! This is beautiful. Its a very well blended vanilla pine. Wet its mostly a soft pine that smells sweet, but the vanilla doesn't really make itself truly evident till drydown. Definately a gorgeous masculine scent that I think could be worn equally as well by the female gender.

I'm glad someone said pipe tobacco before me, I didn't want to sound completely nuts! But it is wet, the most delicious cherry pipe tobacco, with a hint of buttercream. Its got very good throw, doesnt last long... I'm mixing this up for a spray. Was expecting this to be more foody, which I'm not too keen on, glad I gave it a try cause its amazing!

I was thinking that the evil dreaded vertiver on me would be tempered by the ylang ylang and blood orange (which I both love). The vetiver in this is super strong though, I can smell the patchouli and the blood orange (not a bit of the ylang ylang) but the vetiver is stomping out everything.. huge enraged vetiver. On me, vetiver has a scorced burnt rubber/wood smell. And the combination of this and the blood orange just brings to mind a coated vitamin, its got a bit of sweet but the bitter just overpowers it all. It stays the same thru the drydown and is VERY strong.

In the imp and wet on skin this has a very strange beautiful smell, its like an incensey, spicy, floral, mint. This reminds me so much of something but I cant quite bring it to mind. I get alot of the chamomile on drydown, but its a manly chamomile, still spicy, almost a dusty cinnamon. Black leather nowhere to be seen. Turns into a very light citrusy scent. Very faint, very quickly (reminds me of those cinnamon hard candies, the striped ones that have a touch of sweetness!)

I keep hoping I will find a vetiver I like so that I'll understand what the vetiver lovers are feeling, and from the reviews it would seem that this one may have been tolerable. But alas Its the same stinky burning rubber on my skin. *sigh* wait!wait! In process of adding this review, I'm noticing a very slow change, I'm quick on the draw with vetiver because it is so initially foul on me, but this now is turning into a cedary smell... well now this is tolerable. hmmm... did I find a vetiver???

Got an imp of this for the hubby thinking the notes sounded very masculine.. Wet on skin: Lemony and herbal, this is masculine? I wanna keep this one! Drydown: more of the same. I think I'll give him this to see if he will wear it. I think it could be unisex, but as masculine a very fresh blend. Very Nice!

I've had this bottle around for a while, untried... thinking it would be a winter scent, but decided to try it out this morning. In the bottle: very resiney the myrrh is a standout. Wet: Patchouli!! its a very strong but nice patchouli, almost entirely. Drydown: Its like a blend of Wolf Moon and Lilith, I get wine for some reason (olive leaf and myrrh?) the patchouli backs off a bit but stays to fuzzy it up a bit. A slightbit woody. Hours Later: Its a dusting of amber on the skin, very faint. Love

I have no idea what yuzu smells like, in the imp this was very citrusey and complex, I couldnt wait to try it. Wet: This smells like a blending of mandarin oranges and grapefruit, I catch a light whiff of a floral way in the background. This is a very energizing scent! Drydown: The floral comes out a bit more but the citrus is still there loud and strong. I would definately say this would be a good wake up scent or for a very hot summer day.

Breathtaking darkness, a vision of grace in shadow. I love lilies, its my favorite flower and I have tons of them planted in front of my house. So I know what lilies smell like... and this is it. It smells like fresh lilies with a touch of dark musky powder. It stays true thru wear to the initial smell and has a good throw. I like this one alot.

I was gifted an imp of this and put off trying it on forever cause in the imp it smelled so beeeyouteeeful! In imp: creamy musky tonka Wet on skin: tonka, amping up the musk factor a bit a tad bit of sandalwood Drydown: The sandalwood comes out more, the tonka dies down and I get a hint of honey. I think this would be a good masculine blend. IF I can get hubby to wear anything at all with sandalwood in it.

I was assuming this would be a masculine scent from the notes and that it would be yet another bpal I would have to pass on to my husband... and in the imp it smelled that way as well.. On skin it instantly turns to a type of incense I used to burn, it doesn't smell like the incense in the package, but being burned. It also smells of crystallized amber resin which I used to crumble and wear on my skin. Very strong! It has huge throw. Nice... but a tad too incensey for either of us.

Peppery, musky, flowery! I was talking to another forumite about my love for bathsheba and going back to my list realized I hadn't reveiwed it yet. So I slathered a bit on and am hit with the plum at first, its an overripe juicy (sexy) plum with a peppery bite. The musk comes in later to round it out and make it even sexier. It has decent throw and good staying power, a rarity with me. Yes, I do love Bathsheba!

This baby is quite a morpher! Wet this comes on all strong honey. Sweet thick rich honey with quite the throw, almost too powerful. Then the myrrh comes into the honey and spices it up a bit. Then it dissapears - awwwuh! But seconds later its back but now honey and red wine. The red wine isn't quite as strong as I like my wines, and I think stronger would have really added to this drydown scent... but its still very nice

Slightly sharp at first this quickly mellows down to a overripe fruity floral. It has decent throw.. mostly a peach throw on me. Pretty in a girlygirl way.

I put this on my outer wrist today and went outside to help hubby clothesline clothes... I was walking around sniffing all of the flowers in the yard trying to figure out where that beautiful floral was coming from, before I realized it was the Santo Domingo! I assumed this would be a masculine scent. I usually amp tobacco. But the florals come out in this in a very nice way. It has a good throw as well, not an overpowering one, just enough that you continue to smell it as you move about for a good long while. The drydown shows the tobacco coming out more as well as a subdued rum, but still not overpowering the florals. Very comforting scent.

When I first applied this it morphed very quickly, from a manly scent to pee (yes pee!) back to a manly scent. Luckily the morphing is a 5 minute process and the pee smell doesnt linger too long. The lingering on the skin doesnt last too long either. This is gone before I even get a real sense of it to even review the notes

I amp roses. I amp roses bad. that being said, on me, this rose isn't subtle at all, but with the jasmine/rose combination I get a beautiful bright pale rose. This is definately a grown-up scent. Very sophisticated and beautiful.

hesitant to try this because all I have is a drop/sniffie and all I need is more lust for LE blends, but here goes: This smells exactly like the notes in the imp, I can pick out all of it, even the brown paper bag On the skin this is a lush creamy berry... Is it the fig I need to try more of? I'm thinking thats what is attracting my nose so much... *opens purse* Take all my money!! Take it!!! Edit to say: When I bought a bottle the drydown was entirely different! I got at first a predominant leather that I was afraid was going to ruin it ... "whats this?? This isnt the miller vs cali I tried on!!!" But in the drydown its the same... beautiful. But the difference was so strange!!

Vetiver amps so bad on me that I almost got rid of this one... but gave it to hubby who is a little more cool skinned than I am. On him its tame, I can smell woods and leather and yes, vetiver but it stays subdued and smells all rough-manly-sexy on him. On me??? vetiver extreme.
-
I dont know why noone suggested this to me with my leather/tobacco fascination. This is gorgeoussss, for the hubby. I would put it up there with Geek, it actually reminds me of it quite a bit, not AS spicy but similar. (which is good cause geek is so very hard to find!) Oooo *sniff sniff* I love this!
-
Picked at random, this is definately not the right time of year for this one, but its sooooo nice, stays true thru the drydown process.. pumpkin bread, spicy pumpkin bread. Its very strong with a ton of throw!
-
I'm not getting anything but jasmine (ohh I love jasmine) and dragons blood... no cinnamon which is something I usually amp. In 5 minutes it was gone... not even long enough for me to get a good sense of it. pretty while it lasted though.
