Imp: cinnamon and .. did anyone say dragons blood yet? I swear I smell it. Wet: same thing, I amp the cinnamon over the suspected dragons blood, maybe theres a touch of clove too. Drydown: more of same.. this to me is a stronger version of geek (funny how Im always comparing everything to geek) without the leather. I like it and it would be very complimentary to some of hubbys oils. (strange side note: This is the first ever bpal to do this to me and I have tried alot of cinnamons and usual rash-inducing oils full-strength without anything, but this raised a dark welt directly where I applied it and burned... it was gone after a few hours. I'm so curious as to what is in this that did that because I'm totally not skin sensitive!!)

Initially this is citrus with a bite. Something I cant quite put my finger on, acidic, astrigent, something that smells vaguely like lemon joy dish liquid. On the drydown something woody comes out to stamp down the lemon joy smell, making it almost like a dusty citrus… rather nice.

Wow theres something with vetiver that I love?? This puppy is quite the morpher. In the imp it smells all incense, on skin wet its like a hippie shop, not just incense but all of the oils and hemp and hippie smells and on the drydown I get something that smells very lotus-like (must be the jasmine and iris) I really like this, probably because I cant smell vetiver at all

This is so faint on me I cant get a really good grasp of it. Its like an “incensey” smell, something that smells “root-like” dirty… just cant get a good sense of it before it fades to nothing

Ut oh something smells like vetiver.. red patch and cypress? It stays calm but remains murky and pitchy while wet on skin, something smells sweet in the background, the tonka and a little fig, which keeps me sniffing thinking it may be promising through the murk. Drydown brings out the sweetness more blending nicely with the murk, a very confusing but likeable blend. I think this is more suitable for hubby as I get none of the floral.. maybe he will though

In imp: a generic air freshener smell, like a ylang ylang/jasmine Wet on skin: same…this doesn’t change too much and doesn’t jump out at me as being too unique, all I get is those two notes, which I amp.

I would agree with Wanda, Perversion and Voodoo Lily. Also Lilith is a great heavy seductive blend. Its very heady and thick, perfect for what youre trying to evoke. Layering Graveyard Dirt with anything works well too! Any of the above with GD would be divine! I layered wolf moon with graveyard dirt once, it was a full moon and it made me feel very predatory..and sexy. Theres also Premature Burial, if I dont have every existing bottle in the world *muahaha* if you can deal with the dirt (which I happen to love). I'm typing this off the top of my head at work... I gotta look at my lists for more, because this is the type of scent i love the most!

I was expecting something different from the name and color... It looks like wrath, but doesnt smell wrath-ish at all. Its pretty though, a dragons blood with a bit of cinnamon, Has a good amount of throw.... a bit too sweet for me.

In the imp wet on skin this smells like a frankincense, myrrh & amber incense, as soon as it hit my skin, for like a second it seemed like there was a floral there. Maybe it was my nose playing tricks on me cause it quickly dissapeared. This is nice on drydown, almost like an amber resin.

I thought Usher was going to be a masculine scent... however its gorgeous on me. I was applying and reapplying all night just to keep that wonderful smell going. In the bottle: a watery tea, nothing phenomenal. Wet on skin: A nice heavy tea, black tea with a touch of mint. Although I think the throw is mostly mint cause thats what my hubby picks up. Drydown: Heres where the magic happens, tea, mint and yes... irish spring. But I rather like the scent of irish spring, and mixed with tea irish spring is just.. well .. gorgeous. Throw: I get decent throw with this I think Lasting Power: Its lasting pretty long on my skin, but I'm not quite sure as I kept reapplying just to get that lovely drydown again and again!

Sensual, decadent, and enigmatic. Lavender, softly underscored by lotus and spice. Theres something about bpals lavender that really disagrees with me... At first in this thats all I smelled, sharp herbal lavender, there was something in the background I kept trying to huff that semmed promising... And there it is! The lotus breaks out and blooms over the lavender making this quite a nice blend. Lotus + Lavender is nice. I thought I was going to hate it in the beginning!

Such a strange and unique scent! At first this is all fruity on me, melon and kumquat. True fruity, not the fake kind. But after a while it turns into powdery peonies with the fruit background. Whats strangest about this is that up close on the skin, its faint... but I catch the throw. I love it though, its complex and beautiful! (Interesting to add that I saw this scent and the word "earth" in the title intrigued me (oh another dirt! Yay!) but thought "awwwuh damn" when I read the descript... funny how I got frimped it and love it!)

Wolf Moon 04 was the first Bpal scent I purchased on ebay, back before I knew of the forum... It was strange the way I found it, I searched for the words "wolf" and "moon" looking for things for hubby who is a wolf fanatic ... and fell down into the world of bpal. I'm suprised I didnt review this yet. Maybe cause I rarely wear it, I have 2 imps worth left and I'm holding on for dear life. It is a fuzzy, nuzzly, piney, resin, earthy scent. I think it embodies "animal" perfectly. Its also a wonderful layering scent... (a tad bit of graveyard dirt and a tad bit of wolf moon has me insane!!) One of my favorite favorites and saved for occasions appropriate!

oh wow... I really love this! In the bottle: I smell the same kind of mint in my beloved Ellegua, Its a heavier mint instead of a snappy gum mint. On skin: The mint blends with the tea and a slightbit of the orange blossom. I dont know if it was the description story but theres something chilling/creepy about this scent, it evokes a feeling that I just love! Drydown: This fades a little too fast for my liking on the skin (no problem, I'll just put on clothing) I'm suprised I'm not getting more honey, as thats usually an amped note on me... it stays background. This is gorgeous!

Close to this skin this is a tad sharp/bitter, but the throw is the most beautiful musk, soft and sexy. I went through a phase where all I wore was retail musks, and this reminds me of something I really liked. I cant wear musks anymore, because I'm just burnt out on them, but this is different. There are other notes I cant quite pin down, they play peek-a-boo from my nose! bpal blends are getting more and more complex and beautiful!

yarrow! I love yarrow so much, I used to hang it to dry in my house. I love the smell of the flowers, the stalks freshly snapped, the delicate leaves, and this is like all of that crammed down into a bottle at first. It is wonderful in a very sharp, herbal, yarrow way! Something flowery comes into play behind the sharp yarrow...maybe the honeysuckle, and something sweet, honey? I dont know but they stay back and let the yarrow forefront.. and I'm glad for it. Beautiful!

oranges with cloves covered with redhots. theres a syrupy sweetness to this that jumps in and out. Its nice, but my imp will be enough.

I used to like lavender in all forms, but as I get older my nose is changeing and I can tolerate less and less, this is one of those, its a strong lavender, it does die down, but the sharpness of the lavender remains, to my nose its almost vetiver-ish, not for me at all

LOVE! This is one of those scents that I wouldnt wear so much to be "attractive" as to be withdrawn and evoke a feeling. The description is exactly what this is. So much so, that theres no point even in reviewing it. I need a bottle of this.

Agreeing with the prior review... this is noxema, slathered on a downed half rotten pine tree. Smelled close I get the rosemary, a pungent rosemary, I used to boil rosemary water for my hair and occasionally I will forget something on the stove and it will burn down, close to the skin thats what this smells like. The lemon is a little throw, with the rosemary, its almost giving off a lemon tea vibe, but the noxema smell just ruins it.

Its a damn good thing I love Jasmine, cause I amp it to high hell. This is one of those where the jasmine is so overpowering its nearly a single note. But when inhaled deeply I get something spicy...The throw is entirely jasmine though... So many jasmine haters... give em all to me!! (reading thru the latter reviews I saw lily, I try not to read the reviews before I type mine so I dont get nose-persuaded, but I think lily may be the spicy I'm getting, lily does pop up in my head as "spicy" *shrugs*)

I got this in the mail today, I;m not sure exactly who its from... I have an idea but while waiting on confirmation on who to thank, I'm going to review it! Oh oh ohhhh this is nice, it has me, whats the word... I've always said "chuffing" but I know that isn't it... when animals inhale rapidly to taste the air? This scent almost has a taste to it, to me its like a chocolate liquor. Its strong, chocolate, but not a sweet chocolate. I like it lots!
-
frimped a drop of this I had been putting it off because my budget does not need another love of an LE... This isn't outstanding to me (a good thing) I get mostly a light floral and honey, honey always tends to amp up alot on my skin .. and become quick overbearing at times unless done right, this is one of those "done right" blends but its not screaming "buy me buy me!!" (thank goodness!)

In imp and wet on skin: I dont know if I have a different Omen, but this is not the dark scent I was expecting! The juniper berry and myrrh come out forefront on my skin to make this light, almost fruity... where is the patchouli?? the oakmoss??? I smell it in the imp, but not on the skin at all! strange! Nice, but again, so not what I expected it to be. Drydown: Okay, theres some of the "dark" the oakmoss is joining up with the juniper berry, its smelling a little more foresty. Like a dark dry forest. I still dont get even a hint of patchouli. I like this alot. Much better on drydown than the initial scent. Much later on Drydown: Yesssssss, this is like Premature Burial or Burial...THERE is the patchouli, giving it a nice earth tone. Love! The earth in it is not as strong as PB or Burial, I adore both of those but they make me feel a little sick when its hot and humid out, I think this would be a gorgeous replacement.

This is stunning from imp to wet to drydown. It doesnt morph at all, its just a light dragons blood with a bit of sandalwood, I get the "dry feeling" from it and like it better than the juicy in your face dragons blood blends. This has a bit of waft to it, no need for me to wave my arm around for it to drift to my nose...maybe I need to try out more of the dragons blood, this is definately beautiful.
