This is a gorgeous pumpkin bread in the beginning drying down to pumpkin/cherry tobacco close to the skin, and a nice light carnation throw. It does fade rather quickly. This will be great for the fall!

In bottle: blood and smoke On skin: Snuggle dryer sheets Wow if that isn't one hell of a morph!
-
Wow. Just WOW. This is absolutely amazing. I'm so in love with this if I can pull my hand away from my nose long enough to write this review it'll be a miracle. I adore wolf moon 04 and I thought this wouldnt be comparable, but its completely spectacular in its own way. While 04 to me seems softer and snugglier, this is more of a wolf with a bite. I cant even begin to pick out particular notes... I'm just enjoying the whole lot of them, inhaling and inhaling...

This is one of those that the throw is entirely different from what I smell on my skin,..the throw is a sweet mint, almost tea-like sweet... I'm thinking its the wintergreen and violet but close to the skin its bitter.. like bpals eucalyptus always is on me. I like this though theres something disarming about it that I cant quite figure out. he drydown... is QUITE amazing... everything blends together in perfect zinging harmony!

a beautful single creamy rose, strong good throw. Not much else to say because thats all I get. But as far as roses go this one is beautiful

this reminds me of la petite mort.. though while the ylang ylang in LPM stayed in the background and screams in your face. This is like a stronger bolder sister of la petite mort... though upon drydown the clove spices it up a bit and changes it into a stronger bolder spicy sister of la petite mort. I like this quite a bit.

when I first smelled this in the imp... I though"oh lemon liquor.. sharp, tangy... not manly" wet on skin i thought" Creamy lemon ... lemon meringue... not manly" I was about to give up when 5 minutes into the drydown it was more of the same.. and I like my man to smell manly! juniper... pine.. maybe dusty rose, very dusty... ok lavender... truth be told I'm not picky when it comes to "men" scents... lots of things can be masculine to me... lemon doesnt hit me as one of those. then, out of nowhere, theres this glorious... this this... warm fuzzy musky thing going on... its the warm fuzzy in luperci, in wolf moon 04, maybe its just the smell of my husbands skin... but its dead sexy and dangerous... And manly! (but I would wear it too)

Finally getting around to reviewing these CCXXII This smells so much like a retail perfume Ive had before, Im not too big on retail perfumes anymore so I'm not liking at a whole lot. I think its a white musk? a powdery one. Strong throw. CLKIX Oh this is a beautiful smoky plum. It changes to a more fruity plum on drydown and fades very fast. Pretty CCXCVI Strange this one, smells like bubblegum mooshed in fresh dirt, with a little powder on the side. A wierd faint blend, but I like it.

I love pretty much all the japanese blends Ive tried and this is no exception. Its so exotic, my uncultured nose just goes "uhmmmm duhhh perrrty!" so while I cant pull specific notes .. save to say I dont really smell the ginger, i would say harikata smells much like hot sex! Its sexy to the nth.

After seeing all the comparisons to snake oil and O ... neither which I have tried I know now I must get them both now... This is divine! It starts out all skin musk and honey which is so very sexy, on the early drydown I get a bit of the ylang ylang, which I thought would ruin it cause I amp that a great deal but it stayed back and stayed incredibly sexy. The ylang ylang fades to the initial skin musk honey combination. Yes, it does smell orgasmic... says hubby playing on the name... which is unusual as he never comments on my oils unless theyre foody.

Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener
tragedy replied to flyingpizza's topic in Doc Constantine's Pharmacopoeia
I was gifted a bottle of this *hugs bottle* and I love it so much! It doesnt as much smell to me like pure tree sassafras as it does the beverage, which is fine by me because its stronger and sweeter. Its quite energizing... it had me up and moving today as soon as it hit my nose, maybe it was mind-over-matter *shrugs* whatever the reason it is very awakening! It has a quality on my skin that green tree viper does, a type of strange but very very good "powdery?" thing going on that I like a whole lot. I see myself using this quite a bit in the rest of the summer weather. -
this morphs quite a lot in drydown. It goes from dragons blood with dirt (patchouli) to vetiver and cinnamon to a sweet cinnamon red hot with a dirty feel. I like it and was going “yesss…. Ohhh no. awww… yay” the whole time it was going thru stages, the end result is sexy and strong

In imp and wet on skin I get mostly the cassia and dragons blood, spicy sweet…as it dries down I smell a bit of the smoke and patchouli. I usually amp myrrh and its nowhere to be seen. The cassia is the foremost note in this and while its nice smelling I have others that smell so similar to this with the cassia.. because apparently I amp the hell out of it.

I wouldve never thought these two paired would have made a good combination. But they do. Its fresh, but heavy sensual. Simple yet complex. I really like this

Its funny with my hatred of vetiver... well maybe not a hatred but more a ... watchful distrust, that I get so damn many vetiver frimps I try them anyways and occassionally I'm pleasantly suprised. Iago is once of those times. Although this is a tad too masculine for me the vetiver does stay nicely in check, chained, caged, beaten down... and the blend turns into a lovely leather that doesnt smell burnt on me like most bpal leathers. yay! surprises are nice!

In the imp: too much for me to wrap my head around, the newer bpals that Ive tried are like this, very complex. Wet on skin: this hits me as rough masculine at first, i dont get the feminine at all... tobacco sweetened by a bit of vanilla with mens cologne in the background. Drydown: I almost think its going to turn floral then it dissapears, the floral notes completely play peek-a-boo with my nose. Its slightly soapy which always happens with manadrin on me.I like it, but I swear its masculine and I'm going to force hubby to wear it to see what its like on him

I didnt know this existed untill going throgh a sales post and being Lupercalia-related... it was a must have for me.. what is amusing though is when this oil came out, the 06.. I posted this on my myspace...bring on the wolves!!!! it matches my sentiments that time and now, nothing has changed. (a couple weeks after that post I met my "wolfie"/hubby and its been bliss since) anyways... on to the oil! This is on hubby cause its definately too masculine for me... I think this is by far one of the sexiest he has worn, topping geek, de sade, etc etc... it is sooo animalistic sexy. Theres also something nuzzle-ish comforting about it. Theres just something that his chemistry does to forest/woodsy things that is amazing. I love this so much!!

hyacinth!!! I have the biggest love affair with hyacinth. Hyacinth calms me and soothes when I’m troubled… hyacinth comes to me in olfactory hallucinations on the air when I need it the most. Hyacinth is my guardian angel of scents. I have very high demands for what a hyacinth blend is going to smell like, this did not dissapoint! At first this is crisp apple and hyacinth, Im hoping the apple doesn’t overpower it because it almost seems like it might.. then wow.. the hyacinth comes out strong and true and the throw is strong just like I want it to be.. I am definitely in love with this one!!!!

This doesn’t strike me as dark at all, but then opium scents don’t, and this is all opium on me. Its nice, but a little perfumey for my tastes. Very strong throw!
-
This is what I was hoping the twisted oak tree would be and wasnt, this is a lovely musty wood, reminds me of an abandoned falling down house in the summer time. At first I was leary of this thinking it would end up that stank-musty that alot of the other woods have ended up being, but this isnt. Its clean musty.. and comforting. This would be great layered with alot of things!
-
This is very noxema smelling initially... it mellows out to a nice pine then fades to nothing, all within a few minutes... orange and pine wouldve been nice, but I didnt get orange at all.
-
This smells in the imp to me just like crisp sugared apples, of the green variety. wet on skin the vanilla comes out, slathered over this reminds me of fresh apple slices dipped in vanilla fruit dip. It would be great for summer.. while I’m not a foody scent person I cant stop sniffing this!!
-
In the imp I get at first the vetiver with a touch of tamarind, then the minute this touches my skin it goes all vetiver on me. on drydown its more tame, but still just vetiver and that’s all… not for me

Imp: Minty citrus Wet: Oh.My.God. this is insanely amazing! The blood orange, mint and chrysanthemum are blending in a way that is absolutely wonderful and I would have never thought they would all be so great together. The lily starts to bloom after a bit... divine! Drydown: after nearly sucking my wrist into my nostrils, I've come to realize I need more of this!

Imp: all roses. I really reaaally love bpal roses. Wet: still all rose, like an old fashioned classic rose very vintage and prissy to me. Drydown: the narcissus comes and sort of kills it for me, its still very nice but a little too prim and proper for my tastes.
