  1. Lots of fizzy gin at first. Soon, it changes to a mildly fizzy gin blend, nowhere near the 'in your face' summer gin blends have, like 21, or Velvet Pink Kitty. This is a milder version with a touch of spice and butter. Kind of a scent that's not bad, not good, but really kind of meh, it is mostly gin now, so I don't think I need any more. I don't get any pumpkin or lemon at all, just mostly gin.

  2. This is the 2012 version. Lots of bright, hard red candy apple at first. Not sure why a lot of apple scents translate to candy, but there it is. This fades really fast, and we're left with a dusty apple. Not for me, but it is bright and pretty while it lasts.

  3. Very soft, slightly fruity sweet, not offensive in the least. This is what I'd call 'whispy', and airy, it's got that slight bit of smoke, less than the previous incarnation. I haven't tried Hippie Ghost yet, but this is what I'd imagine it to smell like, there's a bit of patch here too. I like this, though I generally stay away from smoke, this is quite lovely. It would be a great work scent.

  4. Clean and soapy at first, like doing laundry outside in the sun. Then it turns into a soapy snake oil-like scent. Not complaining, it's rather nice. I did wash off some Lilith Victoria before I tried this, it smells remarkably like it. No, rather like orange and Snake Oil, Hunger, or Ravenous. This one is rather confusing. I like it, but would like to try it on again with totally clean skin, though I don't think LV really was there, it kiiiind of reminds me of it, though.

eta: Ha, I think there is some Siberian Musk in here, gotta love them single notes. So yeah, soapy Siberian Musk. I may get some more of this, it's kind of sultry.

  5. This one is a morpher on me, to be sure. At first, it smells exactly like the pink wild roses that bloom around here in June, but with a touch of mint. Dry, still the sweet wild rose, very authentic. Twenty minutes in, just a teeny bit of sourness, and then goes powdery. I really liked the fresh wild rose phase. Wow, the fresh phase just came back! I like this, and will treasure my imp.

  6. Sweet dry leaves at first. After a bit, I'm getting a fairly strong aquatic along with the leaves. It's not so sweet anymore. There's something like vanilla in the background, but it's a bit plastic. This isn't for me, but nice to try. I like my leaf blends a bit sweeter and feminine.

  7. I'm not the best sleeper, so I'm always interested in trying things that may help my mind slow down. Tried this last night, after a busy overtime shift of 12 hours, so I was pretty buzzed. It took me awhile to fall asleep, but once I did, the sleep was pretty restful. Today, though, I couldn't 'wake up', until around 3 pm at work. I just felt totally sluggish all day, almost like I was drugged, and all I wanted to do was sleep, (I couldn't as I was at work),even though I think I got 7 hours or so that night. I'm thinking maybe I need to put this on in the early evening so it works by bedtime, as it was pretty hard to get through the day feeling so sleepy. As a scent, it is a pretty pink rose, kind of sweet and relaxing. I like the scent, and will have to try the oil again for sleep, though I'll try to use it earlier.

  8. At first, a big glob of Bazooka Joe bubblegum. Slightly spicy fake strawberry gum, with even the powder! Dry, toned down a bit, not so bright and fruity. I'm getting a bit of lotion here, along with the powdery strawberry. I don't mind this, it's girly and fun, though does run on the sweet side. My imp will do, for when I'm in a girly girl mood.

  9. At first, I'm getting lots of pine, something bright and green smelling, (must be the ectoplasm), and a touch of milk. Dry, quite different, no pine, a powdery cotton quite orris like, and a touch of milk. I like both stages, though the first one is a bit odd. The second stage is powdery and comforting on me. Kind of nice, but I don't think I need any more..BTW, I'm not getting anything remotely bong or marijuana like here!

  10. Red musk has a habit of being the centre of attention in a lot of bpal blends. Here, it is one of the participants, and not one note stands out. At first, I'm getting warm, incensey slightly spicy red musk. After a bit, the aquatic comes out, so it's got a bit of a cool edge now along with everything else. Personally, I wish it had stayed the way it was before the aquatic came out, I really liked the warm, spicy/incense/red musk combo. The aquatic vibe just seems 'wrong' somehow. No leather here that I can detect. Disappointed, but at least I dodged a bullet.

  11. At first, I'm getting the traditional 'bubble-gum' lotus scent, but a bit more fresher and light on my skin. Almost instantly, it turns to a fancy floral soap, and the bubble gum is gone. Ten minutes later, no more soap, but a sweet, gentle floral. I'm at a loss to describe the scent, it's nothing I've smelled in bpal before, but from a childhood memory of a doll you used to be able to buy in the 70's with a little plastic bottle of perfume. I used to love that scent, sweet and gentle, it brings back childhood memories. This smell's of innocence and caring and gentle love, though it's not something that an adult couldn't wear. I really like this, and may track down more.

  12. This one seems less resinous than the '12 version, but lovely in it's own uniqueness. This is a more watery, fresh Dragon Moon, more springlike than the '12, which I found dark, resinous and kind of heavy (which I like), and more suited for fall/winter to me. There's a fresh green note here, which I'm thinking is the bamboo. So, watery, fresh, slightly resiny green with a touch of spice. I'm getting no dbr. I really like this, but will save it for the spring.

  13. Light, fresh aquatic at first, then the nastiest vetiver comes screeching in, like a hurricane, I guess! Now it's mostly vetiver with a touch of aquatic. I really thought it was leather, vetiver kind of smells like leather to me. So wet leather. No thanks.

  14. Lots of jasmine here, folks, so if you don't like jasmine in any form, I'd stay away. Personally, I like the night blooming variety when I'm in the mood for a heady floral, as it doesn't go sour on me like regular jasmine. This one is mostly the jasmine, but with a touch of vanilla. I like this, and will probably use it more in the spring.

  15. Lot's of dirt at first, then a sharp, clear scent comes out. Kind of fruity, but with a crystalline quality, I'm thinking this is the radishes, but it doesn't smell like radishes to me, per se. The dirt has now taken the back seat, and we're left with this lovely clear crystal slightly fruity note, like sour gummy berries. I really like this, it's not like anything I've smelled before, I love the 'clear' quality to it. I'll see how much I use the imp and may track down more.

  16. Invigorating, I'll say! At first, I'm getting mostly peppermint and citrus, this is good, as I love both. Dry, mostly peppermint, and is it ever zingy and eye opening! I love the scent of this, but it actually makes my skin tingle, making it cold, I am tingling EVERYWHERE, and goosepimply. Not nice, when it's only 10 degrees outside today. I've never had an oil do this to me, must be the peppermint, as my Polar Bear Plunge BO doesn't do this. I wish I had this a month ago, to try when it was hot here. I do like this, and can't wait to try it in the summer months.

  17. Lots and lots of white, sweet coconut at first, with a touch of lime, though that's not listed. Must be the orange. Dry, still coconut, less lime, but the whole blend has a 'fresh' quality to it, kind of like a fruity tropical drink, though I'd say this was less fruit and more coconut. I really like this, and will probably save the decant for my Hawaiin vacation in the new year.

  18. This is my first bottle of SN, and I am not disappointed! At first, I'm getting the musk I recognize in Snake Oil, but what this really reminds me of is Wilf, Panther Moon, and Black Temple Burlesque Troupe. I'm wondering if the Siberian Musk is the same as Black Musk. If it is not, it is very similar. Later on, it does fade more than any of the said comparisons, so yes, a Snake Oil or Wilf lite. Maybe age will make this scent last longer and become more robust. I can't wait to try this with soft, sweet blends, to give them more of an edge, and with other vanilla's, like Celeste and Lyonesse. So happy to have this, and will treasure it as long as it lasts!! :wub2:

  19. Very medicinal, but does fade fast. There's mostly mint and eucalyptus for me, and does kind of remind me of those 'rubs' for sore muscles. I wouldn't wear this for it's scent, but the feeling I get after having a shower and rubbing this oil in, is like having a long soak in the tub. This is amazing stuff, because I normally don't have a pronounced relaxed feeling after a shower. I need to track down more, as I have lots of problems with my muscles. Wow!! :joy:

  20. This is rather soapy at first, but in a good way if that makes sense. Kind of a soft, floral laundry soap. Pretty much the same dry. This reminds me of what an airy laundry room would smell like with the window open on a spring day. Totally clean and springlike. I really don't wear scents like this, I was actually hoping for more vanilla and linden flower. I do think that this would be great added to an unscented cleaning product, though, and that is what I'm going to do with this imp.
