  1. Bard

At first, kind of incensey with cake. At this stage, it reminds me of that Weenie or Yule, was it Soul Cakes? Can't remember right now. Anyhow, it morphs into a honey spice blend, which I'm rather enjoying. Now it's more in the line of Door, Sara Pezzini, and Liz. I like this, but don't need anymore, as I do have decants that are very similar to this.

  2. This is the 2012 version. Pretty much the same as the previous incarnations, which I now have a bottle and a half left of. Love this blend, sultry black musk and tobacco, but it is made sweet with the cacao. I'd love to smell this on a guy and see what their chemistry does to it. I do think at least 6 months of aging brings out the scent that I know and like.

  3. Beautiful fresh green pool of water with a touch of citrus. Fades very quickly on me. It almost smells like your own natural scent, like it blends in with your own chemistry. I really like this, we'll see how the working qualities are. I may spring for a bottle if it's good in that respect.

  4. Wet, seriously? Why did I not try this before the Yules went down?? This is pretty, dainty creamy vanilla with only the barest hint of rose. I had originally dismissed this without trying it, as I didn't like the first incarnation of PS. Dry, not the same, kind of like an after-sun lotion, or moisturizer. Still, I like this, I'm kind of weird, and like lotion-type scents. Perle Von Mauren is one of the bests imo. I still may hunt down a decant, as it is quite nice. Wet, it would be lovely for a wedding, but I'd have to wear a scent locket to get the same effect.

  5. Strong, heady, night-blooming jasmine at first. Not sour, but there was a brief moment when it smelled like fresh poop. Thankfully, that didn't last long, and the whole thing faded very quickly. I did enjoy the jasmine while it behaved.

  6. This definitely is red! I'm getting effervescent red fruit drink, I'm getting thirsty just smelling it, and I really want to drink something alcoholic that smells like this. I like these fun scents that are fruity and fizzy and just perfect for summer. Unfortuneately this stage doesn't last, and the whole scent disappears from my skin within 15 minutes. Just a whisp of a soapy barbie doll fragrance remains. :(

  7. Lovely snow note, berries, and minty vanilla. This is not a sharp blend at all, if anything, it's creamy iced berries, not getting any floral, which is fine by me. This is a keeper for sure. It does fade fairly fast on me, though, only lasting a few hours, which is not too bad, could be worse. Glad to have a bottle, I'll probably use it more in the summer months.

  8. Very sandalwood heavy at first, with a touch of beeswax. Dry, less of the gritty sandalwood, more beeswax with kind of a resiny vibe. There was a bit of sour vibe wet, but that did fade away very quickly. Quite nice, a spicy, beeswaxy resin is the end result. I like this, but not enough for more.

  9. Wet, this is fruit infused, very sweet and pleasant with a waxy feel from the honeycomb. This is a good thing. Dry, kind of a lightly herbal, florally honey, no musk to speak of, which is also a good thing, as white musk does not play well with me. I like a few honey (or honey-like) blends, and this is a win for me. It kind of reminds me of No. 93 Engine, though more feminine. I'll certainly use the decant, but probably don't need a bottle.

  10. Bright, cheery rose, and dry sandalwood at first. The sandalwood is nice with the rose, they kind of balance each other. After a bit, the sandalwood takes a back seat and it's pretty much sour rose now. Rose often turns sour on me, so this is a 'no go'.

  11. There is no year on this sniffie of BM, but I'm assuming it's the latest version. Right away, there's that uber foody graham cracker crust. I'm not getting any cheesecake here, which is kind of odd, as I've always smelled that note in previous incarnations. After a bit, a lovely spice, and maybe a touch of apple, but I probably wouldn't have known it if I was testng blind. The crust is less pronounced and it's basically a creamy apple spice. I wish the lavender BM had been less crust heavy on me like this one, as I probably would have kept it. As it is, I really like this, and if there were a guarantee that a decant or partial would be like this sniffie, I'd probably track down more. Lovely.

  12. When this came out as a SN, was waffling on a bottle, as I do love the scent of evenng Stock. There's almost a spicy clove scent to the actual floral scent. This however is very 'fake' at first like a drugstore perfume that has been sitting in the sun. After a bit, the musk tones down, and there is a pleasant spiciness, but that darned fake floral musk is hovering in the background. As time goes on, it's quite a soft, pretty slightly spicy floral that is quite wearable, but I really do not like the first half hour or so. Glad I just went for the sniffie.

  13. Very spicy and fall-like at first, the beer is making kind of fruity, I like this. I don't do well with smoke blends, so I put this one in my 'to try later' pile. I don't get much smoke wet, but after a bit, it does come out. The dry-down does end up mainly smoke, but it's a soft one, no spices or beer now. Not bad for a smoke blend, but I'd never wear this. I did like the wet stage.

  14. I seem to find pumpkin kind of fresh smelling, and so it is here. I'm getting fresh pulpy pumpkin, and lots of spice at first. After a bit, a touch of espresso, but just a touch, which is good, as while I like to drink coffee, especially the good stuff, I don't like to smell like it. The spices really seem to dominate here, and the pumpkin is pretty much non-existent now. Still, this is a great fall blend, but there is so many similar blends out there, that I don't need to track any more of this down.

  15. Gelt

This is the 2012 version. I"m getting lots of Belgium chocolate at first, and then a bit of amber and a LOT of myrhh. This dries down to a chocolatey myrhh, not unlike Velvet, but a bit more chocolate here. Previous incarnations seem to be more amber/milk chocolate heavy, not sure where the myrhh is coming from, but it certainly has that Golgothan myrhh feel to it. (Thanks to the SN!) After a bit, the milk chocolate comes out even more. I like this, but do own a bottle of Velvet to fulfill my chocolate/resin needs.

  16. A heady, green scent, unisex, a bit of spice. I recognize this in some more masculine bpal blends. It's quite nice, and not invasive at all. Glad to try this, but I don't need any more than my sniffie, just not me, and leaning a bit too much on the masculine side.

  17. A bit spicy and creamy at first. It kind of reminds me of Asp Viper at this point, only slightly bready and missing that 'oomph' of the Snake Oil. Dries down quite differently, but still nice. A comforting, sweet creamy blend, kind of like bread pudding with something a bit perfumey added. It kind of reminds me of the Sweet Rosalamundes Rice Pudding of this years yules, only it's not the rice grain, but a wheat grain, a bit like Dana O'Shea as well. Very comforting, slightly foody and quite pretty. I'll enjoy my imp and hope another one comes my way...

  18. Very bright, 'young' kind of scent, very much like a shampoo, perhaps Pert, but nicer. Not really the apple fruit, but the apple blossom, though it doesn't smell 'real' to me, kind of like a synthetic apple. I still kind of like it, but it's not really me. I can see me wearing this if I'm in the right kind of mood. It would be nice for a warm spring day, I think. I'll keep my decant.

  19. First sniff out of the bottle, and I thought this was going to be a big miss. Lots of caramel and brown sugar, my least fave notes. On, only like this for a minute or two, then dries to a lovely musky vanilla. Sweet, not cloying foody, but with an element of non foodiness here if that makes sense. It reminds me of one of my favourite vanilla blends, the orange label '13', though that one is more muskier, and slightly better imo. Further drying, less musky, more sweet, but still quite lovely. It also smells like the vanilla in Snow White, though I was wearing that blend earlier today, so it may be remnants. Will have to check another day. Glad to have a partial!

  20. Fresh blast of fruity effervescent champagne. It actually tickles my nose like real champagne does. Has a peach-like quality, and I'm getting just a touch of the exotic smelling lychee. Dries to a slightly effervescent vanilla mango. Quite nice, and would be great for a summer evening. Not as sweet as the peach, which is nice.
