  1. Sweet rose at first, this is reminding me of Touched Twice somehow, there's a bit of coconut. After a bit, I'm getting funk, though. Not sure what it would be, I'm thinking the fig may be the culprit. This is nice to try, but it obviously isn't agreeing with my skin chemistry.

  2. Right out of the imp, this does smell like a garden. I'm getting mostly tomato leaves, and something that smells like fresh cucumber and squash. Deep in the background, there's the dirt. This is quite lovely, and reminds me of my mom's garden in the heat of summer with a bit of summer florals drifting around. I like this, but it's more evocative that something I would wear as a perfume. Still, I'll keep the imp in case I want to smell my mom's garden without being there.

  3. Brittle indeed. This smells mostly like a musky sandalwood to me. Quite cologney, like a 'white' sandalwood. A bit sharp, but does kind of smell like old books that my Grandpa had in his basement. It's OK, but not something I'd wear.

  4. Predominantly black currant here, a real tart berry fruit, fades a bit in the sourness as time goes by. Musk comes out, and this ends up being a slightly tart fruity musk, not unlike Berry Moon, and Couple Consulting an Enpon. Glad to try this, but it's not really me.

  5. I'm don't mind patchouli, but I don't wear it out in public, as the scent really isn't 'me'. I have Tricksy and use it for bedtime sometimes. I love Mme Moriarty and Banshee Beat, so I guess I like patch better blended with something. This one is a little more gritty than I"m used to, it smells unripe somehow. This is a really down-to-earth blend, and I quite like it. I do think it will get better with time. I may hurry up and try to get a bottle...

  6. Dandelion SN is so simple yet so beautiful. Airy, fresh, a breath of fresh air actually. It does remind me of both spring and summer. This is really something I wouldn't wear, though I'm happy to have the decant just to sniff every once in awhile. It also fades extremely fast on me.

  7. Quite fresh and citrussy at first, most like a grapefruit(?) I think along with a bright floral. Stays pretty much the same throughout, but fades pretty quickly. Although they don't smell very much alike, it has the same 'feel' as Eight-Petalled Lotus, gentle and bright. I like this, and glad that I have a decant, but probably don't need any more.

  8. I believe this is the first time I've been able to try a moon in decant form before it goes down, so here goes! Lovely fresh sweet, honey, not really getting any floral here, though maybe it's adding to the blend in a way that I'm not aware of. Honey loves me, it blends with my own scent to create a slightly musky sweet scent. After half an hour or so, the floral makes an appearance, and now it is a bit cloying. There are honey blends I like more (Blossoms in Springtime, O and Womb Fury), so I think I'll pass on this one.

  9. Why does this smell like pastry to me? I'm getting nut pastry and what I think may be gardenia. Either my skin or my nose appears to be broke. After a bit, it does become more florally and less pastry-like. Still, I've yet to smell a bpal oil that actually smells like the real deal gardenia. I do get a faint resemblance, but it ends there. This is still a tropical and heady floral, with the nut pastry just not really gardenia in my books. I do like the odd tropical blend, but this one just doesn't make the cut.

eta, OK, looking back I'm not the only one getting foody here!

  10. Lots of almond at first, I do like almond, and this reminds me of an almond pastry. I'm not a foody scent lover per se, but I really enjoy this so far. After a bit, it kind of smells like there's leather here, not sure where that's coming from, maybe the lavender is translating it, or the combination of certain notes are doing this. This ends up being dominant lavender, which is a good thing too, I love lavender, and a bit of sweet almond pastry. I really like this, and wasn't expecting too, not being a foody and all. I wouldn't say this is even a foody blend, though it's very comforting. The leather association is gone now too, I think it was the lavender and sweetness that was confusing me into thinking there was leather here. This would be a great room scent. I may have to hunt down more of this...

  11. As expected, this is strong perfumey aggressive and musky. After a bit, though, it becomes a lovely tobacco vanilla, not in the Tom Ford way, more feminine, and the orris gives a slight touch of floral. So, vanilla, tobacco and musk. I am in love and would love to have some more, but not sure that is possible. For now, I'll be happy with my decant.

  12. Not getting the marshmallow goo, just a creamy and spicy blend of the cinnamon variety, though not too strong. Nice, but this is really similar to a lot of other fall pumpkin/spicy blends, so I don't need any more. I'd say this is most similar to Honey Gingerbread or Gingerbread Poppet though. It is quite nice.

  13. Definitely getting the dark musk here, which is one of my favourite notes. Amber takes a close second, another fave note. This blend is full of win for me, it kind of reminds me of Haunted, but a bit sweeter from the Benzoin, and a bit like Black Temple Burlesque Troupe, but no cocoa, and still sweeter. This is sleek, dark and sweet, and I think I need a bottle. :wub2:

I could have sworn there was amber here, but I just peeked and no, there isn't. This blend is very amber/musk-like though. I'm betting it's the honey and benzoin giving it that quality. Not getting any cedar...

  14. At first, lovely caraway. I'm craving a piece of GOOD rye bread now with butter. My skin really makes a mess of it, though. It smells pretty astringent on me, kind of borderline chemical. Like a home depot product for floor laying. That's what it smells like, the rubber backing on linoleum, or maybe it's the glue that seals it down. I knew this wouldn't be for me, but I have to try all the SN's.

  15. First, I'm getting the fresh lemongrass. I love anything citrus or citrus-like, so this is good. After a bit, the coconut comes out, it kind of reminds me of maybe a Thai sauce for shrimp now, though there is some floral here, so not quite. This ends up being lemongrass, floral and coconut in that order. It's kind of nice, but not sure if I need more, as I have plenty of citrus blends.
