  1. Creamy rootbeer at first, the REAL kind, that my mom used to make from the Hires rootbeer extract. It was pretty amazing stuff. After a bit, a smoky quality comes out. Doesn't really change from this, and even though I generally don't like smoke in my blends, this isn't inoffensive at all. I really like the sasafrass note, and I kind of wish the smoke wasn't there. A mild kind of blend, and I like it, but not enough to make an upgrade. Now black musk and this sassafrass note, I'd love to try.

  2. A moon that doesn't go all sharp on me! Lunar oils don't always play nice with me, but this is behaving. Kind of ethereal, but in a stronger sense, moonlike, with orris, watery and quite lovely. Not many florals and moons I can wear, so this is a nice treat!

  3. Rich coffee syrup at first. After a bit, the spices come out, which is a good thing, as I really am not too keen on wearing a perfume that smells like something I drink:) Rather pleasant, rich spices with a touch of coffee syrup. There's a bit of musk here too, somewhat of a perfumey quality. I don't need more, but this is OK as far as coffee scents go.

  4. Masculine and spicy at first, somewhat boozy. I'd like to smell this on a guy!! This reminds me of something, but I can't think of what at the moment. I think one of the more masculine lupers from a couple of years ago. Male nude arms outstretched? Ah whatever. :) I know I won't wear it, but it is a great dude blend.

  5. At first, a citrus, like lime, but clearer or whiter if that makes sense along with some tobacco that I recognize from the French Tobacco SN. After a bit, it's mostly white musk and tobacco, but not sure if white musk is even listed in the notes. I wish the honey and amber were present, I don't even get a whiff. I think that it would make the blend more wearable. As it is, it is just a bit too much like a department store cologne with the musky vibe. Not for me.

  6. This to me would smell like a gun room. A polished, beautiful room owned by someone who collects guns, old and ancient guns made of brass and other metals. Evocative, kind of masculine, so I wouldn't wear it. I'd like to try this on a guy though...It reminds me a bit of Signor Dildo, so go figure...

  7. Promising at first, soft floral and musk. Gradually the musk and resins intensify to a god-awful soapy perfume mess. Fortunately, this does not last long, and the soft rose seems to dominate. Morpher to be sure. I really do not like the intense phase. Urggh, seems to morph back and forth. I'm going to have to wash this one off.

  8. Eeks, where is the Indigo musk, white patchouli and pretty much everything but the jasmine?? Sigh. Even though it's the night blooming variety, (the 'better' one of the two evils), it is rather heady and not at all what I expected it to be. This really smells like a perfume an elderly lady would wear, I sure hope the other notes come out, but for now it's a 'no'.

  9. Mainly lavender and tobacco flower here. It does kind of smell like a room where scientific experiments would take place. It's got that 'clean', crisp smell to it, kind of herbal. Though I happen to like lavender, I'm not too fond of tobacco flower, and this really seems to be dominant. It's got a bit of a smoky vibe happening which is rather unpleasant to me. It's not too bad, but I will not be reaching for this one again.

eta: I do get the Mysterious Warning comparison, one of my faves, but the tobacco flower is just stomping over everything for me. MW is also sweeter with more lavender.

  10. I thought that this one would be loud and aggressive, but this is not the case. Smells rather fresh and airy. Red ginger usually overpowers a blend, but here I think it just adds to the freshness. Slightly fruity, gingery and airy, like walking through a mountain pass with fresh ginger and berries. Rather nice.

  11. Effervescent white grape, with an extra dose of green apple. Refreshing, and not too alcoholic. After a bit, it becomes quite soapy, but a lovely fresh, citrusy or tart green apple kind of scent. This would be nice for the summer as a body wash, but it's just too soapy to be worn as a perfume for me.

  12. Hmm, this certainly smells citrusy, I wonder what is giving this blend that vibe? Kind of an orange citrus, with a bit of woods and musk. Really light and refreshing, the kind of blend you'd like to slather on yourself on a hot summer day, but you really look great and the heat is not bothering you at all. I really like this, and wouldn't turn down more if it came my way.

  13. I love love love the patchouli here..it is soooo smooth and blends beautifully with everything else here, which I'm at a loss to figure out what the notes are. The whole feeling of this blend is rather like Crypt Queen, but with less fruit. It is drop dead sexy and would smell great on a guy too, I'm sure. A little goes a long way, and I wish I didn't slather, as I'm going out soon and I think it may be a bit of overkill. I really like this, it is patch at it's best, and I may try and track more down, but not much as it really does seem like you don't need a lot on.

  14. Strong leather at first. This is bad ass leather, sleek and shiny as described, worn by a scary (but handsome) biker dude on a Harley. After a bit, the tobacco comes out, so it's black leather and tobacco, kind of gritty. Not getting any black musk here, which is kind of disappointing, but still this is a great dude blend. Sexy, dark and dangerous. I will have to try this on a guy...
