  1. This is quite lovely! Soft florals, with a whisp of light, airy, breath of chill. It really smells 'innocent' to me. Picture a young child in a meadow full of flowers, with the mountain air breathing the last bit of snow peaked chill. I loved the smell in my bathroom after using this gloss, there's a bit of vanilla tinge too, but up close, it smelled more icy. This would be a great wedding scent. I love love love this, and wish it were a perfume. Im going to tuck it away until spring, when the scent will be more appropriate. Hee hee, looking at the description, this is nothing like it, unless I'm the distorted one:)

  2. Lavender at first, along with bright fruits, which I'm guessing is the fig. Less lavender and fruit after a bit, and more vanilla. This reminds me of a more vanilla heavy Mysterious Warning. I bet foodies would be all over this one, it's the most yummy vanilla. I would describe it as a cupcake with lavender icing. A more vanilla heavy tko, too would be another one this reminds me of. This one may be a bit too foody for me, but I wouldn't turn down more if it fell on my lap.

  3. This is a strong one at first! It seems a bit more leather heavy than the perfume and bath oil, though. When my hair is dry, I get little scent, but if I do a workout, I can smell it's musky, leathery, rosy goodness. I love Eldritch Dark, and am lamenting I only have half a bottle of the perfume and a little bath oil left. It is going to be hoarded!!!

  4. Lilies and almonds at first. I wish it stayed that way, I love that combo, but something comes in to make this blend like strong perfume, a la avon. No distinct note, but STRONG. Strong flowers, strong musk, strong herbs. Yuk. Not for me.

  5. This one just smells happy to me. :) I thought there were florals here, but the frost tinged honey describes this scent perfectly. I would wear this probably more in the spring, though, it is just too bouncy for winter. Lately I've been finding the glosses lose their scent once the hair dried. If I have a workout, I start smelling it again, but I'm kind of disappointed that the scent fades. I will put this away for a few months, but I know that the older glosses have been holding their scent much better. Not sure if it's just age, or the lab isn't mixing their scents strong enough with the base gloss.

  6. Well color me disappointed. I was expecting great things from VAIII, but I'm really not getting a lot. At first, its a lovely amber with a bit of a citrus twang. Five minutes later, a washed out version of Hesiod's Phoenix, which isn't bad, but I was expecting so much more. Maybe it's my skin, and it just arrived yesterday, but it's hardly even there. I will hold onto the bottle for a bit, as I love a good amber, but for now, I am not impressed.

eta: definitely now where near Banshee Beat. On me anyways. I wonder if there is a batch variant.

  7. I love Snow White, so I had to get at least a decant of the hair gloss. Yup, that is Snow White, crisp, clean, vanilla and a touch of winter flowers. This is more like 'fresh' Snow White, if that makes sense. My older bottles have a more strong vanilla presence and less flowers. When I started to blow dry my hair, it smelled buttery to me, but I'm betting that is because of the heat. I couldn't smell it on my hair the next day, so if I want more of a scent experience, I'll have to wear the perfume I think. It does smell quite lovely though while it lasted.

  8. At first, this reminds me of Velvet, though sweeter and a milkier chocolate. Takes a total morph, the patchouli and sandalwood come out, the chocolate fades, and it reminds me more of Banshee Beat, or a cousin of it. Sweet patchouli, maybe a bit too sweet, not getting any white florals, maybe a teeny bit of cacao. I like this, but like Velvet and Banshee Beat better. In fact, I bet if you layered the two, you'd get Little Maggie. :)

  9. Definitely the cedar is forefront at first. It becomes a bit powdery, like orris after a bit. There is a masculine vibe that comes into play, and it becomes rather gritty, and outdoor-like, if that makes sense. It becomes too masculine for me. I'm going to have to wash this one off.

  10. A gloomy description indeed! I'm getting the cologne note, that usually means there is sandalwood present. Strong, kind of sour, but for some reason, I kind of like this. Not enough for a whole bottle, bit if it makes me sleep, I may seek out more.

  11. I love the pumpkin spice scent, but do not own any. I like it more for cozy days at home, when it's cold and windy outside, but I don't reach for it as a rule, and I find them all pretty similar. This one is a little heavier on one of the spices, allspice I think, its a bit grittier and muskier. I thought the honey would make it sweeter, but the spices seem to dominate here. Nice, but all my sniffies will satisfy my pumpkin craving for the year.

  12. Heady jasmine, sweeter than normal due to the honey. Lately the Lab's jasmine hasn't been as 'pee-like' for the lack of a better word, or maybe it's the honey sweetening things up a bit. If it has changed, I think it's for the better. I don't wear scents like this very often, but when I'm in the mood, I'll certainly use this one.

  13. I'm not a foody, so why do I like this?! I'm not really a lover of caramel scents, either, and this is pretty much like a toasted caramel. I probably wouldn't wear this on its own, but I bet it would be great layered with something musky. Warm and toasty vanilla. This reminds me of Anaconda without the Snake Oil. Hmm, I missed out. :(

  14. [No additional description provided.]

Lots of spices here, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. After a bit, I' detecting a slight flowery feeling, but like an edible flower if that make sense. It's kind of bugging me that I can't detect the flower vibe. I'm thinking I'm getting the clove mixed up with carnation, that's it! I'm not all that fond of foody spice blends, but this is different. It's OK, but not something I'm going to go out and buy a big bottle of.

  15. Getting the rose geranium right off. There is a fresh, herbal quality to geranium, and I kind of like the added dimension of the rose. After a bit, kind of sour, but fresh, if that makes sense. Not getting patchouli or anything else for that matter, but the geranium. It's a bit too sour for my liking.
