  1. Extremely sweet and first, definitely getting the caramelized benzoin. The cassis is there, but it's being drowned out by the sweetness. I love black currant, and after a bit, it does rein dominant, and this ends up being a tart cassis. I'm not getting the overwhelming sweet, but maybe it's keeping the black currant in check. I like this, and will probably use up the imp. It's very similar to other dark berry blends the lab puts out, but will be lovely for summer.

  2. I love black musk, so this was a no brainer, even though I don't really wear the ones that I have. This one has got a bit of incense going on and sweetened with the black coconut. I like this and will probably use up the imp when I'm in the mood for a black musk fix.

  3. I love a good light patchouli scent, and this one is quite pretty. I'm getting slightly sweetened lighter patchouli, which must be the 'white' version. I wish the beeswax came out more for me, but I'm hoping in time it will. For now, the imp is enough, but if the beeswax were more prominent, it would have been an upgrade.

  4. I'm not sure why, but I thought that this was going to be a heavy scent. I'm getting a bit of resins, but mostly a fresh green smell. It smells like something Yardley would put out, but so much nicer. I really like this, and will use my imp when the mood calls for something green and fresh to wear. Its' nothing quite like anything I've smelled before from bpal.

  5. Sweet cherry candy that threatens to go waxy, but doesn't. I'm just getting a touch of rose. I quite like this, but probably don't need any more than an imp, it's very 'young' smelling, and I'ma not there anymore:)

  6. Unfortunately someone broke this on me. Maybe me, I don't know, it was just a shattered mess on my steps. What I'm getting mostly is tobacco and maybe a bit of red musk, though it's not listed. It kind of reminds me of Red Lantern, from the small amount I was able to rub on my wrists. I like this, but it will take me a few lifetimes to get through the hair glosses that I already have, so I don't need any more.

  7. I got a small sample of this, and didn't know how many squirts to do with the small pump, so I overdid it. The fizzy Champagne note definitely dominates here, and so much that I had to wear a hat to bed. I still smell it the next day, and not really getting anything else, but for lack of a better word, gingerale. I can only take fizz in small doses, and this one needs to be used in moderation. For me anyways. I love orange blossom, but not getting any here.

  8. I really wanted the perfume, as it sounded like it was right up my alley, but I am not willing to pay an arm and a leg for it, so I thought that this was the next best thing. Right off, a gorgeous amber with vanilla, kind of sweet. I love this scent, but it only lasts awhile in my room. It seems more suited to cooler months, so I'll probably spritz this on my clothes when late summer rolls around.

  9. This is quite nice. The red currant is definitely prominent, but the rice milk tempers That and the tea, which is adding a crispness. This is a great summer blend, I really like it, and will probably use up the imp this summer.

  10. Mushroom, tomato leaf, brown oakmoss, and pink pepper.

If anyone was wondering, this does not smell like matsutake at all, (I am very familiar with the smell, as I mushroom pick them), or even anything resembling a fungus. I'm getting something like a green, vegetal herbal smell, with maybe a touch of dirt. It smells airy and clean. Great for spring. BUT IT DOES NOT SMELL LIKE MATSUTAKE!

  11. I love the lab's champagne note, and this one is a golden champagne, but with the tobacco, it almost smells like a guy could pull this off. This smells like a high end mainstream perfume that would be akin to Tom Ford, almost unisex, but leaning on the side of feminine. Kind of reminds me a bit like Champagne Lace. This is fresh, clean and golden and I just love it.

eta: Many thanks to my fairy for picking this up for me!!! :wub3: :wub3: :wub3:

  12. Very nice, clean crisp citrus scent. I was just eating wine gums, and this scent is just like a lime wine gum, kind of like effervescent 7up. This is a fast fade, though, but I still like it. FWIW, I'm not a big fan of white musk and lilac, but I don't get any here.

  13. Not a horrible error at all. An accidental work of art, maybe? I couldn't wait to try this, as I adore Snake Oil and Dragons Blood and it's like the two were meant for each other. In the bottle, I'm getting mostly dbr and a touch of patchouli, no Snake Oil yet. On, mostly patchouli, which I'm feeling a bit bummed about, but don't worry folks, it does fade. At this stage, it's reminding me of Snake Charmer on steroids, in fact it smells more like a Snake Charmer blend to me rather than Snake Oil. Finally, we're getting equal amounts of Snake Charmer (Snake Oil), DBR, and a touch of patchouli. I love this, and if it's this good right out of the mailbox, it's going to be epic aged. So happy to have a bottle, and hope this 'accident' can be re-created somehow... :bunnyluv:

  14. I rarely get tobacco dominant scents, as I just don't like the lab's version of them. Well maybe my tastes have changed, because I'm kind of digging this:) Lots of tobacco, slightly sweet with a bit of incense. I will definitely use this imp if I happen to crave a tobacco scent. I really like the tobacco in Mr. Nancy, Perversion and Bulgarian tobacco, but maybe French is finding a way into my heart.

  15. Another dark blend. This one also reminds me of Shadow in the Elevator at first, then fades to a soft plummy vanilla patch. I really like it at this stage, though it is pretty soft. A quick fade, even though it's pretty strong at first. Similar to Mme Moriarty as well. Not sure I need any more, as I have some dark blends similar to this, but this one is going into my 'use up' pile,
