    The Sea Foams Milk

This is nice and fresh, perfect for a summer day. The milk note must temper the aquatic, as I can actually wear this without washing it off. Nice, but I don't like it enough for a bottle.

    Magdalene

Not sure what is making this blend so very soapy on me, but it is straight hotel soap from wet to dry. A bit of rose peaks out, so it is really just a rose hotel soap. Ah well, can't like em all. Off to swaps.

    Ugh Massage Oil

At first, this is kind of medicinal, fitting for something that would be for muscle relief. After a few minutes the medicinal scent disappears and there is a faint, lavender herbally smell. It actually reminds me of something else that I have, but I can't quite put my finger on. Probably something I have with lavender. Maybe Bat of Longevity when it's wet? It's nice, but not sure I'd spring for a bottle. Not sure if it is even available.

    Stinky

A cure for sweaty bits and sticky wilting. Stinky is a summer refresher 'foom for people that don't dig run-of-the-mill "clean" scents: newly-washed skin with a dusting of milk, white honey, and baby powder. This kind of reminds me of The Gladdener of All Hearts, but without the lavender. I get the vague powdery candy smell that reminds me of sweet tarts or Lick-m-Aid. It does smell nice and clean, but it is not really "me", and the decant will do me just fine.

    Baobhan Sith

Mmm, delicious white grapefruit with something a bit sweet to temper the sourness. I may get a bit of tea here, though nothing like the amount of tea that is in say, Embalming Fluid. This is what I wish Alien Invasion would have been like. A great refreshing summer scent. Win!

    Eustephanos

This is a strong, sour rose wet. As it dries, it becomes a bit less sour, but no other notes show up. My skin amps rose, so this is a no go. Off to swaps.

    Jack

This is a spicy, cinnamon ginger blend for me, with just a teeeeny bit of buttery pumpkin. It is pretty much the same as Gingerbread Poppet on my skin. I've never found a pumpkin blend that shows up on my skin. Either my skin amps the spices or eats the pumpkin. This would be great for fall, but I have plently of spicy blends, and don't need a bottle.

    Psychological Horror

Wet and dry, this is a soft, powdery musk, very similar to Creature Feature, as mentioned above. It kind of smells like the powdery drydown that jasmine often goes on me, but without the initial blast of jasmine. This is 'OK', but I like Creature Feature better for when I want my retro musk fix.

    Tiresias, the Androgyne

Wet, this is pan-fried brown sugar, not scorched, must be the caramel. There is a touch of something dark as well, must be the patchouli. Dry, it is all about the caramel. This actually reminds me of Red Lantern, and a bit of Sugar Skull, though the caramel is seriously taking over the whole blend for me. Caramel and Butterscotch are generally not my friends, especially since I seem to amp them. No tobacco. *sigh* Off to swaps.

    Kostnice

Hmm, this is the type of floral I thought was jasmine, as it is going pretty much straight to powder. I generally like powder (to an extent), but not when jasmine causes it. Must be the lily. To bad I'm not getting any frankincense, as this would probably temper the sweet, heady floral. Bit of rose here, but unfortuneately, this is a pretty big miss on me.
  11. A lovely frimp from a forumite. DXXXIV (?) Hmm, this is a Snake Oil, fruity combination of the pear variety, I think. This really reminds me of Coral Snake, but with pear instead of apple. It also has a different spice, not as strong as cinnamon that I can't identify, not ginger, aargh! Anyways, it is very nice, quite scary at first, (sickly sweet fruit), but dries down to a beautiful spicy vanilla pear.

    Zorya

Very sweet floral with almost something "bitter" here, like ambergris. Maybe it's the musk. I also thought there was peach here, it's almost a sickly sweet peach scent to me, with the awful ambergris vibe. Off to swaps.

    Loviatar

Hmm, this is a nice, resinous blend. For some reason, I get very little leather, it's mostly a dominant musky blend. This reminds me of the Arachnina, Mme Moriarty, Crypt Queen family, and while I enjoy it, I do have plenty of others to satisfy my musky/dirty cravings. eta: ahem, I just ate my words and decided that I need a bottle of this. Why? The leather is coming out, and it's so damn sexy. Dirty, sexy leather. This is a great scent when you feel like being "bad girl".

    Dorian v2

Many thanks to my Convergence buddy for frimping me this gem!! This is a beautiful lavender vanilla, on the drydown. I really don't think that it even compares to Dorian. If I compared it to anything it would be Lilith Victoria meets TKO, I kind of get a bit of Wulric here as well. I don't get any lemon or tea notes here, just a soft, gentle predominant vanilla with a touch of lavender. Nothing to me is sharp with this blend, it is very relaxing and would be great as a bedtime scent. WIN!

    Dracul

At first, I get a spicy, fresh note, maybe the mint? Gradually Dracul dries to a spicy, musky 'dirty' scent. It actually reminds me of Crypt Queen, but with more spice, and less fruit. I love a lot of the notes here, black musk, tobacco, orange blossom, clove, and mint, so it's no wonder I really like this blend. I say it's more of a feminine 'outdoorsy' blend, with the balsam peeking through. Sexy vampires, Yah! I'll probably spring for a bottle when my imp is gone..

    The Mock Turtle's Lessons

To me, this is a fruity incense. I'm pretty sure it's apple. *check* Yep, it's apple. I don't really get the mint or aquatic notes. I'm actually surprised there is aquatic in here, as that generally spells 'doom' for me. After an hour, it becomes a tad bit powdery, which must be the orris. This is a pleasant, summery scent, and I will certainly enjoy my two imps that I happened to aquire. Oh, it does fade fairly quickly. Boo.

    Storyville

A lovey forumite frimped me a sniffy of this. You guys are great!! So, on to the review. This is a lovely musky, (maybe a bit boozy, like bourbon?) vanilla, but not too sweet. It is tempered by the musk, and maybe a bit of tobacco? If I had to compare it to anything, maybe Inez with a bit of Perversion thrown in, minus the woods of Inez and the leather of Perversion, or even a muskier less sweet Underpants without the spice. I smell the musk of Smut/Snake Oil here, I think. It really is unique though, and difficult to compare to anything. I love this, , it's like my perfect scent, but know I'll probably never get to smell it again on me, so I guess I'll enjoy my morning with Storyville. *sigh* Plus the fact, if I do ever get my paws on any more, I'd never wear it for fear of using it up. Oh, but I am very happy to have tried this, very much appreciated!

    The Zieba Tree

I'm discovering dominant sandalwood is not my friend. This smells very fake and generic man's cologne to me. Off to swaps.

    TKO v3

First off, many thanks to me DD fairy MM! This TKO I find is a bit more heavier on the lavender, but I still get the marshmallow vanilla in the background. I also think that this is a different lavender, kind of like the one in "The Gladdener of All Hearts", more soft per se and not as sharp as say the lavender in Pontia or other French Lavender blends. This ends up very soft in the end, and quite relaxing. Very nice!

    The Bloody Sword

This smells dirty, like a battleground kind of dirty with blood. I smell metal, rust, and a strong musky odor. I don't really get any DBR. Quite a masculine scent, but it is really making me feel quite ill, so me or the guy will not be wearing it.
  21. milo

    The Caterpillar

Wet, this is a very perfumey incense. Gradually, it fades (pretty fast!), to a powdery incense, which jasmine generally does to me. It's 'OK', but I have other incense blends that I like better.

    Night-Gaunt

Wet, this is kind of fruity and musky. As it dried, the blend becomes more citrussy. I like citrus and will enjoy this imp, though I don't think I need a bottle. It is pretty faint, and disappears quickly.

    Incantation

This is a strong bpal blend of the masculine kind. I have a really hard time picking out notes in guy blends, which this definitely is. I thought there was musk, but no. To me it smells musky and citrussy, kind of like Spider. Very strong, and great throw. Too bad I slathered this one, as I don't like wearing masculine blends.

    Coxcomb

At first, I get vetiver (?) I don't see this in the description. Something odd happens, and I'm sniffing my wrist, and it "smells" like I have a cold. Thankfully this disappears, and I get a faint musky, incensey blend. It is very nice, but I can't help but think there is something in this blend that doesn't agree with me, as I've now just finished a sneezing fit. However, this is warm, heady blend that I like quite a bit. Off to try layering, will report back! After layering the three, Coxcomb is still dominant, but there is a touch of fruit there. Nice, but I think I prefer the blends on their own.

    Bess

Wet, this is pretty fruity with an effervescent quality. About 15 minutes later, I smell like a fruity, sweet, white wine, not dry at all with a bit of rose thrown in. Seriously, I wonder if people are going to think I'm drunk if I go out in public. It is VERY winey on me, and definitely won't be wearing this out.
