    Horror Coaster

This is straight up cinnamon on me with a touch of something bready, or cakelike. Actually reminds me of cinnamon toast. It made my arms burn, so I doubt I'll be getting the released version.

    St. Lucia v8

Wet, I get caramel. Not a good sign. It kind of reminds me of Red Lantern at this stage. As it dries, the caramel disappears, and we get a lovely cinnamon musky blend. Kind of like Gingerbread Poppett, but with attitude. I really like this, it is a warm, not too foody blend. Perfect for fall/winter.

    Dragon's Reverie

Wet, this is a disaster. Sharp, acrid and pungent. My husband was walking behind me after I first applied it and said I smelled like Raid, which is pretty accurate. Dry, this is a different story. I get delicious amber and an almost dreamy, drug like hypnotic feel which must be the opium scent. This is somewhat powdery, but I enjoy powder in moderation. This blend is hypnotic and sexy as hell. I could imagine a fortune teller wearing this blend. Seriously contemplating a bottle after my imp is gone.

    Tzadikim Nistarim

Wow, I've sure got these notes wrong. This smells like a fruity floral to me, of the tropical fruit kind. There's a bit of a dusty vibe as it dries. This kind of reminds me of a very fruity tropical drink, with the scent of flowers wafting by. I'll probably enjoy this more in the summer months.

    Peach Moon

Wet, this is like a peach cooler with a bit of an edge. Kind of musky in a way, actually. As it dries, the blend sweetens, and we're left with uber sweet peach cooler. Not really a peach fan, but I love mums, so this was a must try at least. No mums or tea, but I do get a musty, dusty vibe after further drying. Not for me, but the name of this blend makes me giggle like a 13 year old.

    Nemesis

Wet, very pungent and slightly medicinal with the cypress. As it dries, this is a pleasant, soft woody blend. Hard to describe, but a bit sweet, maaybe a bit of floral. It's a fast fader, though and practically disappears after only half an hour. I'll certainly use up the imp, but don't need to upgrade.

    Whoso List To Hunt

Wet, this is a lovely woody, musky, ambery blend with a slight bit of a powdery vibe. As it dries, the rose comes out a bit, and it becomes sweeter and more powdery. This is a little bit too sweet for me, but I LOVED it at it's wet stage. Ah well.

    The Flower Girl

Many thanks to JenJen for frimping me this sniffie! Wet, this is a mish mash of flowers, of an unidentifiable kind. As it dries, jasmine dominates as it normally does, then goes powdery, like it normally does. Very glad to have tried this, but jasmine loves me, but I don't love it.

    Blood Rose

This is a lovely sweet rose when wet. I normally don't like rose, as it goes sour on me, but this is staying true. I'm wondering if it is the DBR, which has been growing on me lately. I'll certainly enjoy the imp, but I don't think I need a bottle.

    Wezwanie / Hold

This is a wonderful, amber spice blend with a touch of warm hazelnut. It borders on being foody, but there's something that's keeping it in check. Maybe the amber? This blend reminds me of Inez and Storyville, only a little nuttier. The honey adds a bit more sweetness. I really like this, and will definitely use up my imp! As for a bottle purchase, it is too similar to Inez for me to justify a bottle, but a definite win for WH! eta: I must say, this definitely gets foodier and sweeter. Just going to stick with Inez.

    Lead Phoenix

Wet, this is rather medicinal on me. Kind of like a mentholated Dettol. As it dries, it becomes quite resiny and evergreen-y, and like others have noted, a rather 'heavy' scent, and maaaybe a touch of fruit. Very fitting for the name, but the cypress smells too manly on me, and I won't be needing a bottle.

    Iron Phoenix

This one is very difficult to describe. Wet, I get DBR, which usually doesn't work for me, but it definitely seems to be behaving here. Dry, I keep getting whiffs of a beautiful, spicy, musky, slightly metallic blend, that is actually quite amazing on me. When I bring my wrist to my nose, however, it is a harsh ginger and iron. Really, though it sounds crazy, the scent around me is so beautiful, as long as I don't bring my wrist to my nose. I've never had a bpal oil (or anything else for that matter) do this to me. This is a surprise win for me, and I can't believe this is yet (another) bottle worthy Phoeni. This would be 4, and I still have one to test. OK, I just can't get over the metal red ginger, and though I get wafts of wonderfulness , Red Ginger just is too biting for me. I still may hunt down a decant, as this was just a sniffie, but I don't think a bottle is in my future.

    Spooky

A maddeningly festive blend of warm, buttery rum, cocoa, coconut, vanilla and a jolt of peppermint. It’s a sweet, decadent, slightly silly scent, reminiscent of rum-laced holiday cookies. Wet, this is minty chocolate, kind of like Tokyo Stomp. Dry, it's a musty old After Eight mint that has been stuck in the old plaid couch for ten years. Normally coconut works great on me, but I think this is what's giving this blend it's musty 'old' feeling. I get maybe a touch of rum. Not for me.

    Silver Phoenix

Like other's have noted, this is a very ethereal, crystal, silvery blend. It reminds me of ice and icicles, and a white chrstmas tree decorated with silver ornaments and irridescent glass balls. There is a touch of floral and spice, but other than that, I'm having a hard time discerning notes here. It's very well blended, and everything seems to meld perfectly. That being said, a note here is not sitting well with me, I think it's the moonflower, and it's just personal taste that I just don't like it that particular floral. If you love silver blends (and moonflower!), I think you'll like this. Not for me, but I predict that this will be quite popular. eta: ack! After a few hours, this really has turned lovely, as the moonflower faded away on me. Just a beautiful silver-y blend. I guess I'm hooped, as I've had 3 Phoeni wins, and two more to test.

    Gold Phoenix

Three ambers representing common gold, astral gold, and elementary gold, with verbena, angelica, and heliotrope that has been purified by frankincense and Gum Arabic. Mmm, this is a lovely lemony spicy blend, with a touch of amber. The spices kind of remind me of some high end dude fragrance, but can't think of what it is. It totally is unisex, though, and I like it just fine. It is a 'dress up, and go out on the town' kind of blend to me. Very expensive, clubbing kind of fragrance. Not so sure that it's 'me', though, I certainly do like it, and am comtemplating a bottle depending how the rest of the trial of this goes...

    Copper Phoenix

I get a spicy, cinnamon-like vibe here, and not much else. Maaaybe a touch of fruit. Not very metallic at all for me. I don't dislike this, but it's not really wowing me either. eta: I just wanted to mention that this really does get to be a "Red Phoenix"like scent on me, and I'll probably get a bottle now, as the morphing turned this into a lovely ambery spicy blend.

    Quicksilver Phoenix

This starts out as a very nice, crisp lavender. I love lavender, so this is a good thing! Then something goes horribly wrong, or I shouldn't say horribly, just 'wrong'. The lavender disappears, and a powdery jasmine comes out. Must be something else causing this, as I don't see jasmine, but that is how it smells on my skin. Boo.

    Tin Phoenix

Mm, this is bright and fresh and very light. I get the lemongrass and just a touch of bright metal, somewhat like a lemon cleaner, but in a good way. I really like this, but have refreshing blends a lot like this one that I like better (Embalming Fluid, I'm looking at you!) Still this is a win, and would be great in the summer months.

    Hod

Wet, this is the most realistic carnation I have yet to find ANYWHERE, including Lush's Potion. Whereas Lush is cool, Hod is warmed by the creamy amber. I LOVE this stage. Unfortuneately, it goes to powdery carnation. Although still nice, and definitely bottle worthy, it is not the OMFG I need 200 bottles of this as in during the wet stage. I am hoping that the amber is just being a bitch today, and this will stay true as time goes on. eta: OK, about 15 minutes later, the powdery vibe disappears, and we have even MORE spicy carnation. YES. I look forward to this baby aging, and need at least a couple of bottles.

    Whip

This is a somewhat sharp, rose with a touch of leather. I only get the leather intermittently, and it is lovely, but the ROSE loves to show her presence and drowns out any loveliness the leather offers. This rose is not soapy on me, FWIW, but I don't think Whip is for me.

    Moon Rose

This dries to a soft, slightly powdery and sour rose. It's pretty much like hotel rose soap. Not for me.

    Thirteen (13), November 2009

This is a bit odd on me. Up close, I get a musky, spicy cocoa. A few feet away, it is sharp and cologney, somewhat like an '"axe" blend that my son wears. It is kind of similar to the Feb 13 blend, only less smoky and spicy. I get no plum, sadly. I will give this another go in a few days, but for now, I don't like the perfumey axe aspect of this blend. OK, now two days later, the axe has disappeared, thankfully, and a wonderful musky cocoa is present throughout. There is a touch of spiciness that gives it a bit of oomph. The downside, is that it's a fast fader, and gone after only an hour.

    Proserpina Bath Oil

Wet, this is icy, tart fruit. As it dries, a warm fungus notes emerges, (but the other notes do dominate) I think maybe the pomegranate is the factor that is doing this to me, (as I have problems with other oils). Otherwise, this is very lovely, and it is a great moisturizer.

    Leo 2007

Ooh, I really like this!! A generous forumite frimped me this one, and I am forever grateful! This is a spicy, golden blend, though I really couldn't tell you what the spices are. Kind of cinnamony with a bit of resin, though I don't see cinnamon listed. Whatever it is, I LOVE it, and will treasure my imp for special occasions.

    Ice Prince Bath Oil

This is a nice, fresh evergreen with a touch of fruit. At first, it smells kind of like Vicks, but that soon disappears. I find it fades pretty quickly after a bath, so applied the oil directly to my arms. It ends up being a "close to the skin" fragrance on me, like you've just come in from the outdoors after a lovely walk in the snow among evergreens. The plums add a nice touch. I find this more feminine than Winter Maiden. Almost like the names should be reversed. I may spring for a bottle, I like this a lot.
