At first, this is very traditional cologne type blend, I'm not liking it so far. As it dries, it gets quite hard to describe, as noted above. The cologne is gone, and we're left with musky, dark feminine incense, but now overpowering at all. It definitely morphed into something quite lovely and mysterious. I will certainly treasure my little bottle of this. eta: The above being said, I'm not sure this one is for me after all. It just seems so sophisticated, vampy, little black dress-ish with blood red lipstick on. I could see myself wearing this for a night out on the town, but not much else.

#370 In the bottle, this is a foody, buttercream frosting. Dry, a smoke comes out, and I could swear there is a touch of leather here akin to the leather in Clockwork Couture Female. The vanilla and cream have faded into the background, but still provide a mellow sweetness to the blend. This really reminds me of Liz, a blend I'm not fond of, as I really don't dig smoky blends. I'm sure someone else will certainly enjoy this, though it is not for me.

Kind of icy, frosty berries at first with a bit of cake note thrown in. I really like it at this stage. Sadly, the ice note fades pretty fast on me, and we're left with mostly slightly minty berries and a touch of cream-filled cake. Still nice, but I'm not wowed. There seems to be a lot of berry/cake blend floating around, though this one is more fruity than the other cake notes out there.

At first, masculine citrus with a bit of musk thrown in. Sadly, it turns to body spray on me, and I slathered, so it really is quite nauseating. Not for me.

Wet, herbal honey with a touch of freshness, like a ripe lemon. After a bit, the honey really blooms, and the blend becomes very sweet on me, probably a bit too much. This really is an authentic honey blend, not fake at all. It kind of reminds me a bit of Crib Girls or Giant Vulva, Velvet Nudie. This is a bit too sweet on me, but I'll bet it will be amazing once the sweetness fades on me a bit. For now, this is not a bottle worthy scent.

*shifty eyes*...This smells pretty much like aged Tombstone to me, which I love. Banshee Beat lacks the sarsparilla note, but this really is quite similar. The wood is strong at first, then the sweet vanilla/patch combo comes to the forefront. I find it smoother and 'mellower', than Tombstone, though the wood (or patch) isn't as strong. I certainly wouldn't turn down any of this lovely blend, but I'm not going to sell my kidney for it either. eta: He he, reading back, I'm not the only one that sees the comparison to Tombstone. I find Tombstone isn't wearable for me unless it's a couple of years old (and this was an imp!) I'll probably search for a kind fairy to pick me up some if it becomes available again, as this is definitely wearable sooner than that!

Very fresh, plummy floral. I find a bit of unpleasant dustiness as it dries. There is also a bit of tartness here, like a plum that is not quite ripe. I find the notes don't really meld all that well together on my skin, there's the tart plum, and the musty iris, (I think), and they seem like separate entities. I wish I got some black amber, but alas this blend is not to be with me.

I'm thinking maybe cirius is kind of like jasmine, as this is very similar to straight up jasmine to me. After a bit, the gorgeous currant comes out, so juicy and fresh, but it really isn't enough to save the blend for me. I kind of get a winey sourness here as well, like wine gone bad, but OK for vinegar. Off to swaps

I have never smelled actual absinthe, so I can't comment on the similarities, but this very much reminds me of Ouzo, though not as strong a anise note. It's quite boozy when wet, but dries to a anise herb blend. This smells a lot like the anise my mom grew and the anise tea I drank when I was having trouble lactating (yes, it's good for that!! maybe a little too good!) I really can't see this as a personal or room fragrance, but it certainly brings on some memories!

Wet, Whooooa, DUDE BLEND ALERT!! Though this is a Calvin Klein dude, with white underwear and tanned six pack abs. Really this does smell like a high end CK fragrance when wet. Very aquatic and citrussy. Dry, the metal comes out more, and the aquatics fade. This is a dude clubbin blend, sexay as hell. It would definitely make my head turn if I were to smell it on the opposite sex...

Wet, this is sweet tobacco with smoky, sharp woods. A few moments later, this is not as sharp, but still a 'baked' wood with tobacco, if that makes any sense. This is quite reminiscent of Wood Phoenix at this stage, though this is more aggressive and tobacco-y. Half an hour in, and this blend blooms into something truly wonderful. The tobacco is sweet, masculine, dangerous and with a touch of wood. I adore this blend, but really can't see myself wearing it, as it is just too masculine. This would smell amazing on the right guy, perhaps a dangerous vampire or a brooding, quiet type who undresses you with his eyes, yeah. Definitely keeping the imp, maybe bottle purchase in the future.

This starts out as a dark, musky traditional floral, among the likes of Black Butterfly Moon and Giallo. Half an hour in, a lovely spice and fruit comes out, (cassia maybe?). It's not overpowering at all, and the dark perfumey musk is still there, but more subdued. This is definitely better dry, but still not really my thing. The musky cologne that is present throughout just bothers me and makes me think of alcohol body sprays. The plum and spice kind of reminds me a bit of Hellion, but there is just that cologney edge that just ruins it for me.

Veeeery aquatic and masculine here, like clean guy that has used a nice good quality aftershave. I have a tough time identifying masculine notes in blends, so yeah, clean guy being sprayed by salty ocean mist.

Wet, this is a beautiful green 'wet', scent. Like a lush garden by the ocean. As it dries, the green disappears, and a salty aquatic comes out, with the fungus note of doom, as I like to call it. Some blends just 'turn' on me, and smell like fungus. I really loved this when wet and would sure like to know what this note of doom is.

This is predominantly rose on me, from wet to dry. Rose loves me and overpowers everything else, pretty much. After about an hour, things calm down, and it is quite soft and pretty. Still rose, but at least it doesn't go powdery and sour. I really can't bear the hour it takes to get there, though. Off to swaps.

This blend really reminds me of Beanman and Beanwoman. I get coconutty floral here, from wet to dry, though it reminds me more of Beanman and Beanwoman more when wet than dry. It ends up being kind of sweet,summery, fresh, suntan lotion, though the coconut vibe is disappearing. Maybe it's the sandalwood? Whatever the case, this is quite nice, and I'll add it to my summer imps.

At first, this is a fruity coconut. The fruit really reminds me of juicy fruit gum, and the blend when wet, is quite reminiscent of Tiki Princess. It has the same coconut, I think. Dry, the coconut fades somewhat, and the florals come out. Still a bit of coconut vibe, but it's making the blend more dusty than sweet. This blend really isn't wowing me at all, the florals are kind of fake and blah, and there is a vague 'pickle' note. A bit of sourness, so to speak. Another bullett dodged!

White gardenia, ambergris bouquet, lavender fougere, orange blossom, melissa, tobacco flower, coriander, ebony wood, ylang ylang, absinthe and aged whiskey. Wet, this is a fresh, spicy, fruity floral. It kind of reminds me of mulled, spicy wine of the fruity variety. It dries to a spicy floral, kind of reminiscent of DBR. This also reminds me of a mainstream popular perfume, maybe Shalimar(?) It goes slightly powdery on me, as well. This is "OK" on me, but really reminds me of something an elderly woman would wear. Maybe because I've know older women that like Shalimar. Swaps pile, for association issues.

Wet, cologne with glorious leather. Dry, the cologne gradually fades, and we're left with a smoky leather, not as nice a leather when wet, but still there. If you like subdued smoke and leather, you may like this one. I very rarely like smoke in any blend, so this is not for me.

Wet, this is a sweet evergreen. It dries to a subdued berry-like evergreen, very reminiscent of Christmas. This smells exactly like a candle I used to burn to make the house smell Christmassy. I'll certainly try to figure out how to use this as a room scent, but on me, no, I don't want to smell like a Christmas tree.

Wow, I never would have guessed that there was leather in this blend. I don't get any, from wet to dry. Wet, this is quite minty and fresh with a touch of aquatic. Dry, still kind of fresh. Reminds me of the smell of a clean guy, actually. Just a bit soapy, but sudued, like he's dried off some. This isn't bad, but I'm not wowed. Try this one if you like clean, shower fresh blends.

Wet, this is menthol and spice. As it dries, it is a pungent, acrid cassia blend. This is really quite awful on me at this stage, and I'm almost tempted to wash it off. It gets (just) a bit better, mostly just strong cassia and a bit of pungent herb. This still doesn't play nice on me, and I can't imagine this as a perfume or a room scent. It is reminiscent of a moldy flea market, actually, that has people that sell Watkins and such with unwashed moldy floors and lots of old stuffed toys and various knick knacks. Could be just a chemistry issue, and probably on the right person, this would be a lovely herbal spice, but unfortuneately, not me.

I love the actual lily-of-the-valley flower scent, but I just don't get this here. Sanctus dries to a watery, fresh, somewhat heady floral. No frankincense or whatever osmanthus is. This really doesn't remind me of vampires at all. If anything, an angel floating in the clouds. Just reading back, and yes, it is kind of fruity. Not me.

At first, this is quite resiny and masculine. As it dries, the orris amps on me, as it sometimes does, and it remains pretty soft and powdery now. Every so often, the sandalwood makes an appearance, and is absolutely gorgeous on my skin, a musky wood that mostly comes out when I heat up. Unfortuneately, the orris does dominate, (wish it was the sandalwood, dammit!) I do have other sandalwood blends that work much better on me that smell pretty similar (Trinket). Funny how this one morphed so drastically from masculine to feminine. I'm certainly glad to have the imp, which I'm sure I'll use up, but don't need a bottle.

Wet, very strong, acrid. I actually thought it was vetiver until I looked at the notes. It ends up being a peppery, strong forboding musk like blend. I get no metal, thankfully. My skin really loves sandalwood, and it smells amazing on me when I heat up, so I'm hoping that will make an appearance later. At this point, however, it is really much to 'dark', of a blend, (even for me, as I like dark blends), to consider a bottle.
