    Askalaphos

Very green at first, then the dirt comes out. I'm also getting a teeny bit of pom, but I wouldn't have known it was there but I peeked. Very strong at first, but it faded into a very faint dirt in no time flat. Not for me, but nice to try.

    Sonnet D'Automne

Dry leaves in the bottle. On, some mint and a touch of leaves and amber. After a bit, some slight mint, warm sweet vanilla, and dry ambery leaves. I love this, and am glad I went straight to bottle purchase. Even though this is a fall scent, it smells kind of cool to me. This reminds me of a fall morning and the first frost has occurred. The leaves are crisp and icy and the air is clear. I can see this being nice and cooling on a summer day as well. Brilliant!

    Beaver Moon 2011

Wet, this is very promising. I normally find lavender will make a blend cool. Here I'm getting a warm lavender and cheesecake. It dries to a sickingly sweet graham cracker crumbs with a touch of cream cheese that is quickly going plastic doll head. The lavender is there, but it is not the lavender I know and love. It's just getting overpowered by the crust and cream. I'm assuming this is the cheesecake version, and I'm wishing I got the other version if there is such a thing. I was looking forward to this, and it's just a big disappointment.

    Ghosts In Love

Dry sandalwood and smoky white flowers. A bit high pitched and soapy as others have noted. This reminds me of Smoky Moon back a couple of summers ago. This would be perfect for a cool spring evening, a very mysterious blend.

    Winter Fairy Bath Oil

In the bottle, lots of jasmine, though it's not the 'normal' jasmine note the lab uses. It's kind of a bit like the night blooming jasmine. There's a brief bit of fruitiness, but that is soon gone, and we're left with the soft jasmine and honey. This is 'OK', but I'm glad I just got a decant, as it is just a teeny bit too floral on me, but not as jasminey as I thought it would be. I'll probably use this for a nice change in the spring from the usual lotions.

White Tea and Sage Hair Gloss

This is beautiful white fresh cold tea. I'm not really getting any sage, but that's OK, as it seems to always smell masculine on me. This is lovely, and works well on my hair to detangle and make it shine. I'll probably use this in the summer, though as the scent is better suited for that time of year. Nice!!

    Ice Princess Bath Oil

At first, this is icey cold honey, sweet with pears and vanilla. I am loving it at this stage. It's like a frozen, perfect pear with a touch of honey. Dry, the sweetness amps, and it's overly sweet plastic pear now, something a 3 year old would wear. eta: After a long wear, 4 hours or so, the ice note does come back, and it's more snow note similar to one of the bath oils last year, not Ice Prince, but the other one, though not as snowy. I still don't like it though.

    Mahogany Hall Atmosphere Spray

Strong expensive smelling woods with a bit of tobacco with sweet woods and warm vanilla. This smells great, but doesn't really match my decor. My house is more cosy, this is more sophisticated. I've used it in my car, though, and it seems more suited for there, or in my bedroom. I'd say it's more masculine than feminine. Warning though, I rubbed my eye after squirting this, and the burning was unbelievable, even with the minute amount that was sitting on the corner of my eye. I had to hold a wet cloth for about 10 minutes, and my eye was red for about an hour. Beautiful atomosphere spray though, I'm very happy with it and glad I got a bottle.

Mocking the Invisible World With Its Own Shadows

This is mostly resins at first, and then the verbena comes out, and I'd say it is dominating right now. This is fresh and slightly resiny, a combination you don't often get, and I'm liking this quite a bit. There was a stage just before it was dry that it was about half and half, and I LOVED it at this stage. If it somehow goes back to that, I'd buy this in a heartbeat. Right now it is a lovely fresh verbena, but I have citrus blends that I like better.

The Last Evening of the Year

Kind of a sharp, florally snow note. This blend is far too sharp for me to enjoy.

    Dust of Snow

Wet, the lab's snow note and a touch of pretty, light pleasant florals poking through. Wet, less floral, and a kind of green freshness along with the snow. Very pretty, and I may seek out more here depending on the rest of the wear.

Days and Nights in Vaults and Charnel Houses

This smells like you're in a dungeon with a dank earthy smell. There's water sliding dripping off the ancient stone, along with mold and rusting metal. This starts out really awful on me, but more smells earthy and plantlike after it dries a bit. Ultimately though, not for me.

    Inextinguishable Hatred

Loud, aggressive, abrasive with a strong 60 proof booze association. Blech. Dry, no booze, thankfully, and it does settle down to mostly red ginger in resins on me. I've never liked red ginger, I've always found it to be a 'evil' feeling aggressive note. Not for me.

    Sorrowful Affection

Right away I can tell this is not going to play nice with my skin. The tuberose is sharp and amping on me, while the other florals are shouting in the background, wanting to be heard, but it's an annoying shout and the musk isn't helping. Not for me.

    The Deepest Mysteries of Creation

Earthy frankincense at first, then the rose comes out. This is an interesting combination with the resins and sweet rose. Nice, but it's still not my thing. It becomes a tad bit powdery after awhile.

    The Reward of my Benevolence

Powdery soft floral with a touch of dry sandalwood. Quite soft and delicate. I like this but not enough to upgrade.

    A Blot Upon The Earth

Very resiny at first with a touch of sourness. Dry, much the same. Surprised to see plum listed, as I don't get any of that. This just seems kind of like a run of the mill bpal scent, it smells like a lot of blends to me, and there's that annoying sour smell. Not for me.

    A Torrent of Light

Not getting any eucalyptus here, surprisingly, but a lot of soft mint and warm amber. Usually mint makes a blend cool, but here there's a warm cozy feeling along with the cool mint. This smells like clean girl out of the shower. I'm betting this blend would be great for the summer.

    Solitary and Abhorred

This is pretty much single note patchouli on me from the wet stages to dry. I'm getting something a teeny bit sharp in the background, now that I think about it, and I'm guessing it's probably the balsam.

    Frost at Midnight

This smells so much like other frosty yule blends this year. There is no ice, but it certainly smells like its here, along with the greenery, is all that I get. This is cologney, fresh, and not all that unique to me. All the ice scents seem to be very similar this year, and yes, I get soapy too.

    Pride of Wisdom

Light and musky, it kind of smells like herbal tea with musk. Nice to try, but not really my thing.

    Pale Student of Unhallowed Arts

Very nice citrus at first with a bit of ginger-like spice. Much the same for an hour or so, then it just fades into something blah. The beginning stage was bottle worthy, though, just a lemony fruit citrus. This didn't smell like masculine cologne at all on me. My skin is weird.

    A Dreary Night of November

Some vetiver and a touch of vinegar at first, and gradually dries to a powdery woods. Quite pleasant, but the sour stage bothers me a bit.

A Companion Of The Same Nature

Wet, smells like weeds of a noxious nature. Dry, kind of a powdery orris like leaf blend with a touch of water. I like this, but it is a teeny bit too sharp and perfumey for me.
