    La Vita Nuova

Holy Green Apple Jolly Rancher Batman! This is what LVN smells like at first, fruity and fun with a bit of sourness. Dry, more floral, to make this a green apple type shampoo, kind of like Pert Plus. Not for me, and I'm getting a bit of fungus which seals the deal.

    Angry Crab

I kind of smiled when I pulled this out of the random imp pile, as Angry Crab describes me to a 't' the last few days. On to the review. I'm getting a salty cologney vibe right from the start. It strengthen's with time, becoming probably the most cologney bpal I have ever tried. Ends up being quite masculine and unwearable to me. I wouldn't even want to smell this on a guy, no matter how hot he is.

    Crow Moon

Herbal, slightly chilly and spicy floral. Gentle, reminds me of a sleep blend somehow, I could swear there was lavender here, but maybe it's something else. I quite like this, it reminds me of early spring, which it is where I am, fresh and clean and gentle. I'll certainly use my decant, though I don't think I need more.

Unveil The Grace In Thine Eyes

This is really quite lovely. I'm getting salty ambergris an musk wth a hint of luminous orris. It actually smells a lot like fresh Lyonesse to me, a scent that I prefer fresh rather than aged. I like this, but I think it is too similar to Lyonesse to warrant any more.

    Butterscotch and Blackbeetles

At first, this smells EXACTLY like those creamy, tan butterscotch candies. No brand in particular, they all seem to smell and taste the same. After a bit, the patchouli comes out, and this tempers the sweetness somewhat. I'm surprised that I find this quite wearable, as I am scared of caramel, but this doesn't seem to fit caramel's usual fair on me, and it is butterscotch, after all. I love a sweet patchouli, but not too patchy and not too sweet. I like this, though it does borderline on the sweet side. I'm glad I got a decant, I'm pleasantly surprised and do enjoy this one quite a bit. I wouldn't say it's Banshee Beat, but perhaps a second cousin.

O Daughter of Death and Priapus

Lot's of heady opium here, reminding me a lot of Slippery Poppy Tincture, only darker. I love a good incense, but I don't wear them that often. Mostly at home, as they can sometimes smell a bit too 'perfumey', and I'm worried of it being offensive to others. I like this, it's a voluptuous incense, dark with a touch of plum. I'll probably just stick to Witch Dance when I'm in the mood for incense, but this one is good, for those of you who like their perfume dark and incensey.

    Mokey

This is a little girls bedroom with lilac fluffy curtains and bedspread, a white four poster bed, and a dollhouse. Basically, an innocent lilac floral, gentle, kind of fresh, like a window is open with the scent of lilacs blowing in on a lovely spring day. Nice, but not something I would wear that often.

    Abundance

I received this in an ebay win about a year ago, and couldn't find a topic for it so just assumed I was forum-challenged in some way. I've used this a couple of times, annointed my wallet. Nothing major really happened except I guess I get new ideas for getting money, some of which would be pretty difficult for me. I think this opens up doors, whether or not you want to pursue is your choice.

    Druid

I generally love the lab's dirt note, but here it is combined with a green weed-like smell to make this one noxious. Fit's the description well, but it's definitely not something I'm going to try again.

    Antique

Amber is my friend, so I was looking forward to trying this. Unfortuneately, cedar loves me, and it's a one way love affair. From wet to dry, it is tromping all over everything nice, which I can't smell anyways. Oh well.

    Water Snake

Slightly citrus and sweet at first. After a bit, it becomes more floral, but in a soft, unoffensive way. I'm still getting some of the fruit in the background. This to me is a 'younger' fragrance, something maybe a teenager would like. To me, it is quite different than other chinese zodiacs. There's definitely less citrus here.

    A Thought from Propertius

Lovely honey at first with a touch of spice. I like this. Dry, the apricot comes out and stomps over everything. The blend is much too sweet now, no more spice, just uber sweet apricot. Reminds me of apricot preserves. Not for me.

In His Hands All Thy Cruelties Thrive

Lots of smoky vetiver at first with some spice. Dries to a masculine vetiver with a bay rum like vibe to it. This is quite nice, though I would never wear this, it would probably smell quite nice on the right guy.

    Dolce Stil Nuovo

Strong, floral soap when wet. After a bit, strong musky floral soap. Fades quickly, thankfully.

    Thirteen (13): July 2012

Bittersweet cocoa at first, kind of like milk chocolate, but with an extra 'kick'. Fades into a honeyed chocolate with a touch of resins. I really like this, as honey does play nice with me, so it's kind of like a chocolatey Womb Fury on me with the resins and honey. I like this, and glad I have a decant.

Feed Me and Fill Me With Pleasure

I'm not a great lover of patchouli, but I like it muted or sweet, as Mme Moriarty and Banshee Beat. This one is definitely in the forefront at first. Strong patch, and nothing much else. I'm a disappointed girl. After a bit, the amber and vanilla do come out, and the patchouli takes a back seat, though I can't really say it any better than SSDB. This is a sweet and tame patchouli now, though it took an hour to get there, so I'm a bit bummed that it took so long. I'll keep this baby a bit to age, to see if it improves. It may do better for me to add a bit of sweetness from another amber or vanilla note.

    Implacable Beautiful Tyrant Hair Gloss

Lovely musk and amber, very sexy and NOT work appropriate. It reminds me of something, but I can't think of what off the top of my head. Most likely a dark blend, maybe it's Wilf it reminds me of, though more dark musk. As with most hair glosses, the smell fades when my hair becomes dry. I wonder if I need to use more, as it is still pretty fly-away. I used 7 squirts, so you'd think that'd be enough. Maybe other people can smell it on me, but I certainly can't.

    French Tobacco

Deep resinous sweet tobacco. I was worried about the caramel, but it is in the background, probably responsible for the sweetness of the blend. Wait, I keep forgetting that this is a single note! Dries quite lovely, sweet and sensual at the same time. Unisex enough that it could be worn by a guy too. Great layering possibilities. I'm thinking Snake Oil or Madagascan Vanilla...Mmm.

Hair Loosened and Soiled in Mid Orgies Hair Gloss

Smells like a more muskier 'O', which translates to aged 'O', which makes me very happy. Lovely blend, but I can't really smell it that much on my hair after it dries. Oh, and it's a lot like the Honey Hair Gloss, only muskier. Would layer nicely with other lab honey notes.

The Lilies and Languors of Virtue

First off, I am not a floral fan, but I do love the scent of flowers if that makes sense (ha ha). I don't think I've 'ever' smelled bpal or any other perfume that smelled like an actual flower. This however, IS lilies, just bursting into bloom, fresh, lush and heady. There's a green vibe about this blend, which makes it even more realistic. This blend makes me swoon, but I"m not sure how much I'd wear it. I'd really like more, though, as it makes me feel happy and relaxed, and there's also a sensual quality about this blend. I need more, but probably not a bottle, maybe a partial.

Lips Full of Lust and Laughter

Very Smut-like, only grapier. Dry, it's a dead ringer to "Couple Consulting an Enpon" on me. Bright dark fruit, with a touch of sourness. A lot like Dionysia too. Not really into this particular kind of fruitiness anymore, though I have to admit, it's pretty lush and voluptuous.
  22. Wet, milk chocolate with a bit of a 'kick' to it, most likely from the pepper and cinnamon. Dries to a dusty cocoa scent with a bit of cinnamon. It was interesting at first, but went quite flat on me very quickly. Nothing can beat Boomslang in my opinion for a great chocolate scent. This reminds me of one of the herbal '13's.

    The Sound of Insects

I'm a sucker for anything citrus and tea or the potential to be like a scent that smells similar to it. This one is a nice balance between both, though little sweeter than I'd like. To me, nothing can compare to the amazingness of Embalming Fluid for a citrus/tea scent, but I'm always looking just in case something comes up...This one also fades pretty quickly, so that sealed the decision not to upgrade.

    Eve, To Adam in Paradise

It seems Moroccan rose is an intense, though sweet rose. It has the same intensity of the haughtier, sexier red and black rose cousins, but sweet and innocent if that makes sense. Right now, that's all I'm getting. For a rose scent, this is quite nice. I doubt I would wear this very often, as I'm not a fan of rose. Fans of rose, though, should definitely check this one out. eta: Whoops! Ten minutes later, and it does go somewhat sour, but not as bad as some rose blends can go on me.

    En Eski Aşk Şiiri

Muted lavender and almond at first with a bit of fruit thrown in. Ends up smelling like a classic mid-Eastern perfume. Coconut, dates almond and a bit of floral. Reminds me of Baghdad and a bit like Khajuraho. This one was nice in the imp, but ultimately, not for me.
