My nose is all intermingled with my brain with this one! I ordered it hoping it would be somewhat reminiscent of monoi, and it has that same kind of creamy high-floral vibe. But it also smells just like the night-blooming jasmine my mom planted outside my childhood window. So there is something definitively green in there, and I think this makes it more wearable. The hint of vanilla makes it lean toward the soapy side on the drydown, but in this case that isn't a bad thing. So how on earth do I reconcile all of that? I don't; I just wear it and smile.

I was excited about the cranberry in this scent and it did not disappoint! This is lots of tart red fruits with a "soft" green background (i.e. not overly Christmas-y), and it lasts FOREVER in my hair.

This is a really lovely scent. I don't get much mint, and I definitely don't get "Christmas tree." Rather, I get notes that seem more like eucalyptus than anything else, with a combination of something really green. Very nice.

This was a blind-bottle purchase for me and I'm happy I took the risk. This is beautifully blended, equal parts fruity red jam and mild gingerbread. It made me wonder if there was a fruitier version of Red Hots candy: Here the cinnamon is replaced with gingerbread but you still smell the "spice" and the "red." Maybe the jam has a sort of cooling effect... Ye gads that is a horrible description!!! I'm sorry I can't be more evocative, because I really do like this scent and would recommend it to others. I put some on yesterday before work and 12 hours later it was still lingering, but it was never too in your face. And while it is definitely a cold weather scent, it is not identifiably Christmassy, which I like. It's also worth noting that I have very reactive skin, and there was no redness or stinging with this blend.

I think I like this better than last year's Strawberry version. Here, I get the same sort of glazed sweetness note but the raspberry is a perfect counterbalance, the kind of tart that makes your teeth ache and I LOVE it.

A lighthearted winter scent: chilly vanilla rose snowballs! Dainty, soft, and certainly unfit for flinging! This isn't going to be a brilliant review so I hate that I'm the first one to post, but eh, what can you do? As a caveat to this review, please note that I use this in the bath (not afterward as a moisturizer like some others), but I do not pour the oil into the water. Rather, while the tub is filling I grease my body up well and good, and then when the tub is full I submerge and relax. I love Pink Snowballs as a perfume oil as it is very much Snow White + pink roses on my skin. But then, I'm also one who doesn't get much of the wintery-type notes from Snow White and instead I get something foody (a little creamy and almost almond-y). I expected similar performance from the BO but WOW at first sniff this is really strong mint! Not a bad thing altogether, but it surprised me. Luckily, the mint burns away rather quickly (I can smell it strongly during application, but not much afterward) and what remains is the scent I know and love. If anything, the pink rose is slightly more noticable in the BO as compared to the perfume, and that's just fine with me! Like all TP BOs, this moisturizes beautifully without being sticky, slimy, or greasy. The lasting power and throw for Pink Snowballs is average: Not super-strong, but this is a scent that plays well close to the skin, so this too works well for me.

Pumpkin pulp with neroli, ripe mango, cardamom pod, Spanish mandarin, and blood orange musk. I ordered Pumpkin Orange mostly because I didn't have a pumpkin HG in my arsenal, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how complex this turned out to be! Sometimes, "pumpkin" really means "a blend of fall spices" (looking at you, Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!), and that is often how it shows up on my skin. But here, you really get a blast of the other notes too. I mean, it smells orange!!! In particular, that blood orange musk is to die for and that really seems to be the focus of the blend: It comes out swinging, and the pulpy raw pumpkin and hint of mango really help the scent to mellow out. This is a HG that could be used all year round!

This is hard for me to describe, because in my brain I just see it not as "pink pumpkin candyfloss" but rather as "pinkpumpkincandy floss." (Eh, I know, but it makes sense to me!) The spices in pumpkin blends can often overwhelm everything, but not here. I get that initial burst of typical fall spices, but on the skin I really amp the slightly buttery gourd note with lots of strawberry and cream on top. Surprisingly, the scent stays true to that and it lingers ALL DAY on my skin. I'm really glad I picked up a bottle.

I took a chance on a decant because of Beth's description. Two out of four listed notes tend to be awful on me, but I just had to test it anyway. And wow. I think this is my favorite Snake Oil blend ever. I was worried that the bubblegum note would make this just a little too twee for my general tastes, but I don't get any strong notes of bubblegum at all. And while lavender tends to totally take over and go all herbal nightmare on my skin, in this blend it is soft (but not powdery), with the relaxing effect I always want but never get. These notes shouldn't work together, but they do. Oh how they do! The overall effect smells sort of like berry Snake Oil, but there is just something about the way Motherhood makes you FEEL. It is really evocative, all of these scents together, and it makes me happy because Beth and Lilith are both in there, identifiably. It smells great on my skin, but it also makes my heart swell a little.

Wet, I get the dreaded plastic-y fake-strawberry note of a Strawberry Shortcake doll. As this dries on my skin, however, it mellows out into a nice strawberry cream, with a dollop of chunky sugar that must be the cotton candy. It's a soft scent that sticks close to the skin.

^Those reviews are so thoughtful and detailed. They make me embarrassed to say that Texare, on me, pretty much smells like Sour Patch Kids. There's a nice base of mallow if I reeeeeally huff for it, and I think that keeps the scent from burning off right away because this thing sticks around!

Gawd I love the Lab's leather notes. As a preteen, I had a soft brown suede bomber jacket and I was too cool for school. Outlaw smells like a root beer float wrapped inside that jacket. Just that simple. It leans slightly masculine--I would ravage a man who sidled up wearing this--but who cares, I'm gonna wear it, too. Maybe ravage myself sometime.

You know those huge sugar-crusted pumpkin roll cakes that abound at bakeries this time of year? Pumpkin Sugar is like a big slab of that on a plate. I wanted straight up sugary, ever-so-slightly spiced pumpkin, and that's exactly what I got. Love.

Holy cricket that's good! No suntan lotion scent here. This is mostly identifiable to me as the "cold" coconut note I love so much in Tiki Princess and Apple V 2015. Fresh and delicious! (eta to fix a stupid mistake)

De Vos' Unicorn is lovely. I was nervous about that lavender but I don't smell it at all. I get mostly "sugared peony" grounded by a mallow note: This is not marshmallow-y smelling to me, and even the sugar note does not read as candy. Rather, it is identifiably floral with something slightly creamy and sweet underneath. It would smell delightful on a young girl--it's that kind of girly baby smell, though not "powdery" at all--but is also sophisticated enough for the ladies. Sillage is good and this thing lasts forever!

I really, really love Peach I and am so grateful to my D*Con fairy for picking it up for me. I was excited after reading all the notes, but I have to say that what I actually smell isn't really identifiable as any of those things. It's actually kind of weird. I mean, yes, I can tell this is a peach blend. But something about the way the other notes combine is unexpected and magical. I definitely get a musk note, but I don't get any identifiable "rose"; I think the rose is helping to temper the other notes into something really well grounded. I don't get anything overly sweet like I sometimes do from "cream" notes; again, I think that vanilla just lays down the foundation for something warm. It's a fascinating blend, really, in that it smells AMAZING but, uh, doesn't really smell "like anything," if you get my drift. Sillage is fair, but this is a scent that you want to stay close to the skin so you don't have to waste any by sharing it with others. I wish I were better at this today, because it is one of my favorite Lab blends in a long, long time.

I already have Honey HG and White Bees Swarming HG, so I was worried this new one might feel redundant. But I'm so glad I took a chance! This is much more identifiable as a cake scent than a honey scent. Yes, it's a honey cake, but that gourmand foody note is prominent to my nose. There's a slight almond-and-cream smell it there, too, so it definitely smells edible. It also lasts forever in my hair, with moderate throw. Good stuff.

I am a huge fan of Strawberry Moon '09 so I was thrilled when the HG version won the Moony Lunacy poll at the TP. And yes, the HG is everything I hoped it would be. There is a very subtle difference in this iteration that makes the HG slightly less sweet and slightly more sappy, and oh, man, does that work in the hair. To me, this is not a candy-ish scent at all; rather, it smells like strawberry fields hot in the sun. Just a few spritzes in the hair is enough to get the benefit of the moisturizing oils as well as this lovely fragrance. It seemed to stay close to the hair, too, so it didn't overwhelm my coworkers and yet every now and then I caught a whiff on the breeze. I smelled like strawberry summertime.

Marshmallow root, cream vanilla, Roman chamomile, and cocoa butter. Oh, my. Recollection is so lovely. One of the TP's gentler-smelling bath oils, and I mean that in the best way possible. It's a bit un-quantifiable. Not like, say, Peacock Queen, where you "smell like roses," or Pumpkin Pie Ice cream where you smell, well, exactly like pumpkin pie ice cream. No. Recollection is more of a soft skin scent, where the compliment is simply "Oh. Oh, you smell good" and you can purr a bit with the knowledge that you most certainly do. I used Recollection in the bath, applied to my wet skin. In the bottle and during initial application, the fuzzy marshmallow root was front and center, a fraternal twin to the Lab scent Stekkjarstaur. Love. As the oil warms on the skin, it takes on the creaminess of Boo, luckily without the salty under-tang I sometimes got from Boo itself. Then in the bath, a soft tea scent hangs close to the skin. Now that I am dry and warm, I notice the cocoa butter most, though the hints of all the other notes linger, too. I'm really in love. Recollection is delightful as a standalone scent, but it would easily work under perfume oils or hair gloss scents without overwhelming anything. Basically, it's the way I wish I smelled naturally, all the time.

Strawberry and patchouli root with pink pepper, white rum absolute, and benzoin. In the imp, this is juicy strawberry with a hint of earthiness and booze. I got super excited when I opened the decant. Then it hits my skin, and immediately the patchouli takes over and that's all there is, folks. I'll try it in a scent locket, but as of now I'm bummed. ETA: About 10 minutes into wear time, there's a hint of rooty strawberry that has reemerged, and that's nice, but overall this stays too head shop-like for my usual tastes.

This is what would happen if some high white florals had babies with powdery berry bubblegum...which is not altogether a bad thing!

Cascading Blossoms is an interesting blend, in that I really love the smell of it but I don't like the smell of it *on me*. It reminds me of a long ago trip to Hawaii, so much so that the nostalgia is a little painful. The blend of florals starts out as a bit high-pitched but it quickly mellows on the skin, and there is something almost vanilla-y in the background that keeps this from becoming too soapy. It is a lovely and evocative scent, but it is also a little too girly for me to enjoy on my own skin.

This year's Lupers are WINNING with creamy, sophisticated, well-blended scents. The Bride is all creamy magnolia grounded with non-foody vanilla, with the softest hint of musky honey. (I tend to amp honey, but not in this blend!) A very feminine scent for Spring!

Ooh, me likey! I was worried that the orris would turn powdery as it tends to do on me, but I think the other notes keep it well grounded. The result is a creamy, truly "pearly" scent. There's a hint of sweet pear if you really look for it, and the coconut is not too overt. Overall, there's a kind of tropical violet vanilla-type vibe, and I love it.

I expected to love The Book, and I do! First off, I love me some Whip. While Whip is very evocative of red roses and black leather, The Book is that happy harlot's wee little sister trying on her own identity and ending up with pink tea roses and an old, worn brown suede jacket. Wet, it is all rose, but on the skin it blossoms into something wonderful, feminine leaning toward girly.
