  1. Candied strawberries and pink pepper.

Very much like Strawberry Moon hair gloss with a little kick of pepper added. It also reminds a bit of Edible Panties. When I whoosh my hair around I get this little air of pepper/spice that I LOVE. I'm hoping with age more of the pepper comes out. For now, a sweet, foody strawberry gloss! <3

  2. Black fig and orange blossom with tonka, black vanilla, and a gust of spiced sandalwood incense.

This is a gorgeous, light sandalwood blend. I'm hoping next use I pick up more of the fig and vanilla...but for now, upon first application, it's very light with just a hint of sandalwood. Perfect for work or when you'd like a lighter scent. So good!! <3

  3. When I sprayed this on my daughter, I swear it smelled just like toasted coconut candy. But the next morning when I used it on myself, I got more of the vanilla and a hint of the tiare. Sweet, soft, vanilla coconut with a dab of tropical tiare.

It's beautiful and lovely and I'm so glad I have a bottle of Pickle! <3

  4. Oh wow! This is the marshmallow apricot candy that dreams are made of. Seriously good stuff. This is tooth achingly sweet, sweet candy. I mean, I have a LOT of SWEEEEEET hair glosses and this is probably the sweetest I now own. Thank you to my fairy for getting me some Mlerm, I love it to death.

Only drawback is that it is super light, so I have to spray heavy and respray...but I don't care. It's delicious!! :wub3:

  5. Lavender, white musk, sweet hops, and a little French vanilla.

This is soo good. I didn't realize I needed more lavender in my life until this. I'm not getting a whole lot of hops and the white musk lends a bit of cleanness to it. This is mostly a sweet lavender vanilla to me. Perfect for those who missed TKO hair gloss (please bring it back!). I just ordered my 2nd bottle. <3

  6. Man oh man! I'm in love! I'm in love! And I don't care who knows it!

This, to me, is reminding me of when I first discovered BPAL. Something about the headshoppy vibe is bringing about fond memories of when I discovered early true loves (like Bordello). It's the kind of scent when sniffed makes me go...oh yeah, this is totally BPAL... if that makes sense?

I agree with the above reviews...sweet, headshoppy, strawberry incense. So, if that's your bag...jump on it. Me? I'm snagging a backup...maybe 2! :evol:

  7. I'm loving everything about this. It feels autumnal yet clean and light? I can't wait for this baby to get some age on it. Right now it's primarily leaves and neroli...hoping over time the red musk will become stronger. Gotta seek out a bottle! <3

ETA: Bottle ordered. I recently rec'd a 2nd full imp I had mistakenly (but good, mistake) ordered. It smells pretty much like my first imp only as if it has aged some. I loved it even more and immediately placed an order for a full bottle. If you like leaves and red musk...you hafta try this!

  8. FWIW, we're only supposed to recommend BPAL oils here...recommendations for other retailers are supposed to be handled in Other Retailers You Love subforum...

    On to my recs:

(first 6 are from the Beloved Favorites Imp Pack on BPAL's website)

    Alice
    Dorian
    Embalming Fluid
    Morocco
    Sin
    Snake Oil

I also would recommend O (for honey) and Brown Jenkin or Goblin (for coconut).

Welcome to the madness, have fun and enjoy your journey!

  9. Well, I'm going to have to be the odd girl here and say this doesn't remind me of BB hardly at all. This actually starts off more like Tricksy to me, than BB. I can't for the life of me wear BB, but I can wear this! It's a soft, sweet, mellow patch that goes awesomely with Silkybat HG. Seriously considering a backup bottle! If you like patchouli, I think you'll love this. Also, not getting a lot of cinnamon or honey. Just a very cozy, soft patchouli. Go for it!

  10. Yes, it's pink :)

Two scents come to mind while sniffing this in bottle and on my skin and they are:

Beaver'versary & Beaver Moon 2010. BM 2010 is pure strawberry sweet candy to me while Beaver'versary is pure birthday cake.

Mix those two together and you have Very Pink Surprise Cake. I love it, but since I already have multiples of the parents, I'll just be needing one of the baby :D

ETA: people are comparing this to Sprinklecake which did not work for me (I can't remember why)...so don't be put off if Sprinklecake didn't work for you!

  11. For someone who generally can't "do" florals, I think I could acually wear this! It's a very soft, sweet scent. I don't get much fig. I can only describe this as a clean, fresh, shampoo-like sweetness. Floral haters might be surprised to find they can wear Love & Sleep :)

  12. I thought this was going to be great since all the reviews are glowing. Turns out the destructive kind of vagina is more my speed. This went screaming floral on me and almost into instant headache territory. I had to wash it off and of course, it took 3 washes to getitoff!!

  13. I :evol: this!

When it first arrived a couple weeks ago I was very intrigued. I get a lot of the coconut backed up by the amber. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It reminds me in a way of the GC Brown Jenkin. Something about the creamy/dusty coconut.

I'm currently addicted to layering this with Snake Oil. Something about incensey, ambery, coconut just really hits the spot for me.

verdict: might need a backup if & when it becomes available again! :lovestruck:

  14. Oh my...

you guys. When this first arrived (a week or two ago) I tried this fresh out of the box and was kinda taken aback. I mean, I don't have much experience with blood musk and it was registering to me as dirty feet for some reason. However, after the dirty feet stage would dissipate, I would be left with the most ~gorgeous~ cacophony of patch, myrrh, and benzoin. So, so, so, so delish. I knew that maybe Callidora needed to age a bit (based on past experience with resins, et al). Needless to say just a week or two sitting in my bpal box and I no longer have the dirty feet stage!!! This stuff is just amazing!

Get you some...before I get it all (just bought my back up bottle!!)
