Oh my... you guys. When this first arrived (a week or two ago) I tried this fresh out of the box and was kinda taken aback. I mean, I don't have much experience with blood musk and it was registering to me as dirty feet for some reason. However, after the dirty feet stage would dissipate, I would be left with the most ~gorgeous~ cacophony of patch, myrrh, and benzoin. So, so, so, so delish. I knew that maybe Callidora needed to age a bit (based on past experience with resins, et al). Needless to say just a week or two sitting in my bpal box and I no longer have the dirty feet stage!!! This stuff is just amazing! Get you some...before I get it all (just bought my back up bottle!!)

This is great! When I first put it on in the shower the first thing that popped into my head was "this would be awesome paired with Snake Charmer"! It's definitely in the same vein to me as Snake Oil, Snake Charmer, etc. I'm positively going to have to buy 1 or 2 backups of this. I keep sniffing myself and my eyes are rolling back in my head. I'm loving ALL the vamp items from the Hallowenches. Oh, and if you are worried about the rose here? Forget about it! It blends seamlessly with the musk and patch to create a beautiful cloud of awesomeness. Get this, it's truly amazing! edited to take away a "definitely"...I use that word too much!

This is going to sound overly dramatic, but smelling this hair gloss literally brings tears to my eyes. I swear....you (YES YOU!! (and by YOU I mean everybody)) must buy this hair gloss. Do not pass Go, do not collect 200 dollars. Just buy this gloss. It.is.amazing. (and I hate when people don't put spaces between their words) Srsly. Patchouli lovers...this is like no other patchouli you have ever smelled in your life. This is like liquid patchouli JOY. It is beautiful and so so different than anything I have ever smelled before. Patchouli haters...please, do yourself a favor and just try a smidge of this, you'll be ever so glad you did. I mean it...this scent is too good for words. As far as Banshee Beat/Patch-Amber comparisons? I can't compare them. The patch-amber hair gloss is down and dirty patchouli and amber and oh so sexy. Banshee Beat? it actually gives me a headache and I can't wear it This?? this is totally different...almost a clean patchouli if such a thing exists. Please, just buy it, it's awesome (and the word awesome doesn't even come close to how good this is).

I think myrrh might be a problem for me :-/ When it's in certain blends that have a lot more notes, I think I'm ok...but because this is just a few notes, I'm amping sweet powder like crazy. Don't get me wrong! It's a delicious powder...reminds me of a powder a rich lady might dust herself with (smells expensive). However, I can't wear straight up powder. I was hoping for more fruit!

I find it a little amusing how this scent has been said by so many to be similar to "____" commercial perfume. Because so many people seem gaga over this, I decided to throw in a bottle with my latest order (even though I sniffed it at D*C, I had no memory whether it was yay or nay). I should have listened to my non-floral-liking instincts. While this definitely does not come across as FLORAL, it most certainly comes across as commercial/mainstream smelling. (Not that there's anything wrong with that! I just shy away from those types...just personal reasons I can't really put into words) rawgirl hit the nail on the head when she said Amarige! If you have ever smelled that scent, I think you will agree. Very expensive smelling, very formal and "fancy" smelling, if it's possible to smell fancy. Anyway, I can't wear this so it's off to a much more appreciative home!

I love Alecto for my cedary/woody scent. Alecto (Excolo- The Kindly Ones): Unceasing In Anger. Olive leaf, raspberry leaf, vetiver and cedarwood.

It's tripping me out how varied the reviews are. I don't enjoy cinnamon in my perfume and I'm happy to say that I do NOT get cinnamon from Gorobble. When first applied and for about the 1st 10 minutes I get a heavy, almost maple sugar-type scent. It doesn't smell burnt or toasty or even very smoky to me. After the 1st 10 minutes it morphs to straight up sugary sweet marshmallows and stays that way for *hours*. I love this. In fact, I love this so much, that the other night I drunk ordered 2 back-up bottles. LOL. (I keep telling DH my computer needs a breathalizer!)

I love this! Sometimes chocolate is iffy on me, but this one works! I think because this chocolate is melded so well with the other notes, plus it burns off rather quickly. After a while I get a dusty cocoa scent with a cedar and oakmoss base and it's great! Something about it is reminding me of Cupcake Spatter Pattern Analysis. Need a bottle with next order pls!

You should be fine!

This. Is. Awesome. I adore my released version of Boomslang. I very often wear it to bed because it's so warm and nummy and cozy. This version is all those things as well only sexier because I smell a lot more Snake Oil here. This is great because I often layer my Boomslang with extra slathers of SO or SOBO. Now I don't have to layer anymore! This snake is so so sexy. just

ah! Just put this on (for the first time) to wear to work this morning and something in the back of my mind kept saying, "this smells familiar!!" and "you already own this and wear it regularly!" I was wracking my brain as to what it was reminding me of and all of a sudden, it hit me....Tweedledum. Almost exactly! I'll hold onto it for a while to see if it becomes less like Tweedledum with time. If not, I may have to let it go. It smells great though!

I love this! The dark chocolate isn't overpowering...it's just right. The tamarind gives it a tart, juicy feel that almost reminds me of the filling in a chocolate covered cherry. Then you have the fig which at times can get a little high pitched; but once it's all calm and dried down, it's perfect. My only negative is that it fades super fast on me. I've already had to slather twice this morning (within an hour). I'm hoping as it ages it will stick around a bit. 5 out of 5!

Well damn. One day I'll learn that anything with "cotton" in it just won't work on me AT ALL. This is all cotton all the time. No musk, no patch, no red goodness. Just clean, headache-inducing cotton. Must scrub now...

My review pretty much mimics Itrittipoe's review. This does remind me a LOT of Snake Oil or maybe something that ought to be in the Snake Pit. It's lovely! I don't get any mint from it. Just the musks and patch and gorgeous (aged) Snake Oil quality. I wore this to work last night though and it was almost too sexy for that setting. This would do best on a date with my husband or a night out on the town with the girlfriends. It's pretty amazing now, can't wait to see what it does in just a few months. Must...buy...more!

I love this! Just like all the other reviews are saying it's peachy, strawberry sweetness. I do get a little of the cheesecake aspect. My husband seemed to really like it yesterday when I wore it shopping. He exclaimed, "fruity!" Which is a compliment from him. I'm so glad I have a bottle! This would be great in spring/summer.

All the notes in this sounded perfect to me. When I first put it on, it's hard to pick out individual notes. They blend incredibly well. It smells like nothing else I own or have smelled from BPAL before. If I had to pick one note that is standing out for me, it would be the sandalwood. But it's blending in with the other notes making it all one smooth, lovely scent. I love this and will be buying a bottle in my next order!! Just beautiful

I'm getting a lot of sweet fig backed by a lovely wood note. This is beautiful! I love wood, I love fig. This is right up my alley. Just trying to decide if it's different enough from other bottles I already own.

Cedar is one of my all-time favorite scents. Unfortunately, I don't think black cedar smells the same as the cedar in something like Intrigue (love Intrigue). This is dry and a tiny bit harsh to me. I honestly thought I'd love it, especially since I tend to love frankincense as well. It's going kind of bitter on me too. Darn.

Starts off very much pure, dry cocoa. When drying, the amber starts to come out and compete with the chocolate. On me, the amber is going perfumey for some reason Smells now like perfumey chocolate. Sad!

I just rubbed some of this into my arms and WOW...is it nice! In the bottle and a little bit on my skin it smells what's reading to me as spicy/patchouli. If you have ever smelled Mythos Mixtures Belit Ili, that's what the spice part reminds me of (especially while it's still in the bottle). On my skin I'm not really getting much honey. This is very patchouli and I'm a patch lover. This would be fantastic layered with anything containing patchouli (Depraved, Goblin, Banshee Beat, etc)...or with anything that needs a patchouli kick

Similar to the previous poster, I get nothing but soapiness and musk. This is the kind of musk that I amp to high heaven and that smells very perfumey. It's the same reason I couldn't wear Gypsy Moth. the other notes....the smoke and incense and cool stuff? Never even showed up!

I like this one! What's weird is that something in it is registering as cedar to me. Could be the anise, could be the thyme... I don't have much experience with either. In the imp and on wet: very much a cedary pomegranate (which is yum to me) dry/about 5 mins. in: more pomegranate tartness comes out, the cedar fades into the background It's bright, happy and I really like it. Must seek out a partial!

All the depth, beauty and darkness of All Hallows Eve. Truly, the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein. Samhain 2010 I think I finally found a Samhain that I can wear! Or maybe my chemistry has changed? I've tried '06 and '09 and they were both pipe tobacco from bottle to late drydown. This incarnation of Samhain though...I'm actually getting some spices mixed with other things. I keep hoping for patchouli to rear it's (beautiful) head. I'm gonna let this sit for a week or so and see what happens. So far, so good!

This was a pretty big gamble for me since pumpkin and I don't normally get along. I was hoping for more "floss" and "blackberry". It started out with a big slap of pumpkin. After settling a while on my skin I do get more of the blackberry coming through. It's kind of making my stomach hurt for some reason. Sorry BPF, we just aren't meant to be

This smells just like Lucky Charms cereal to me! Especially when I put my nose right up against my arm. It's very pink, sugary with a tiny hint of fruit. I really like it!
