    Marquise de Merteuil

In bottle/imp: Slightly plastic-y sweet resin. Immediately on skin: This is a very resinous, rubbery scent with hints of peach and light, sweet florals. I also get light hints of warm amber. After a little while: The rubbery scent dissipated and now this is a very sweet, peachy scent with warm amber and bright florals. The vetiver isn’t strong but it is in the background, corrupting the scent a little. Overall Impressions: This is a nice peach scent that isn’t too sweet, but has a nice balance to it. There’s the amber and floral notes lingering here, as well as the vetiver darkening the scent from the background. It’s fruity, but not too tart, and has a nice golden feel to it. This isn’t for me though, unfortunately.

    Malice

In bottle/imp: Patchouli and ylang ylang… though there’s something very smoky in this that’s almost in my scent blind spot as well. Immediately on skin: This is dry… and smoky in a way that I can feel in my nose but not really smell. Predominantly this is ylang ylang and very deep patchouli with a bit of sweet depth from the myrrh. After a little while: Oh, this has softened nicely. The scent now is softly smoky with sweet spices and a base of very smooth patchouli. The clove is a little bitter, but mixes in nicely. This scent has a very warm feel to it, but dark. Overall Impressions: This blend is sharper at first, but it settles into a nice smoky, spiced, slightly sweet, and very earthy blend. The patchouli in this is the rare kind that doesn’t turn to dirt on me, which is nice.

    Kitsune-Tsuki

In bottle/imp: Very fruity and sweet with a hint of musk and jasmine. Immediately on skin: Right away, the fruitiness I got from the imp moves to the background. In the forefront I can smell jasmine and musk, with a touch of juicy plum. After a few minutes: This has sweetened up, thank goodness! The plum and orchid blend together to create a beautiful, sweet, juicy scent and it’s blended with the smoky jasmine and white musk. I don’t think I can smell the daffodil, but I don’t really know what that smells like. The blending of the orchid and plum actually smell almost like strawberry. Overall Impressions: I love sweet scents, and this is definitely one of those! It might be even a little TOO sweet for me. The fruit note is nice, and the musk and jasmine is VERY light. This is a very bright, happy scent and might be good for you if you enjoy scents like Maenad.

    Hell's Belle

In bottle/imp: Deep, sweet, and thick fruity floral notes and musk. Immediately on skin: This is a very sexual, womanly scent. It’s a thick, sweet layer of blossoms with a touch of fruit and rich musk. I think the musk in this might be red musk, since that seems to go almost fruity and red on me and that’s how this one smells. It’s like floral and red musk gummy candies almost, but this isn’t really overly sweet. After a little while: The mandarin has come out a bit in this scent, but it’s still a very thick, sweet and rich floral with a nice fruitiness and a base of juicy musk. It’s hard to describe since this whole scent almost smells like a thick, ruby syrup made out of all of the notes. It’s very nicely blended but very heady as well. Overall Impressions: This is a thick and juicy floral, fruity, and musky blend. It’s very sexual and feminine, and definitely diabolical. It’s a lot like Unheavenly City, only Hell’s Belle seems a bit thicker and a little bit sour compared to UC. They are very close, though. This is a very sexy and heady blend, so don’t be surprised by the looks you’ll get when you wear it!

    Dracul

In bottle/imp: Strong mint and bitter spices. Immediately on skin: Strong, and not sweet in the slightest. The mint and pine are mixing together to create something extremely astringent to my nose. It’s very sharp and biting. After a few minutes: This scent has warmed up nicely. I’m now getting hints of musk, tobacco, spices, and maybe even a slight hint of the orange blossom. It’s quite complex and I can still smell a hint of the fir or balsam, but it’s sulking in the background. Overall Impressions: In my opinion, this is definitely a unisex if not masculine scent. This blend manages to be warm and chilly at the same time, but it is very musky and downright sexy. It’s spicy, but not overly so… all of the notes are very well blended and create something very balanced.

    Bluebeard

In bottle/imp: Extremely smoky non-sweet violet and lavender. Immediately on skin: This is very smoky, barbecue pit vetiver. It’s almost savory smelling and it dominates the blend. The white musk is odd in this… crystalline next to the smoked vetiver. The violet is there, but it’s not sweet at all but it still smells of the essence of violet. The lavender is light, but bitter. After a little while: The weird unsweet violet has finally sweetened up. What I get now is an herbal violet scent with dry musk in the background and smoky vetiver swirled over everything. It’s dark, brooding, smoky violets. Overall Impressions: This was so not right on me at first, but it smoothed into something deep, dark, smoky, and mostly violet dominated. The mix of violet and vetiver is unusual, but this balances out at the end. I would even say this might be wearable for some men, especially if they don’t amp violet like my skin seems to do.

    Black Phoenix

(this review is for an aged imp of this scent) In bottle/imp: Fizzy black cherries. Immediately on skin: This is a fizzy but grounded scent. It either has cherry or almond in it. If it’s almond though, there’s another note in here giving it a slightly fruity quality. I get a little patchouli in the background, and warm musk. I smell something lightly resinous as well. After a little while: This blend has turned a little powdery on me now. It’s a powdery, spiced cherry scent with patchouli and musk in the background, and maybe frankincense. It’s not really sweet any longer, but has a nice thick quality to it. Very complex. Overall Impressions: This is one of those oils that really blend into your skin, it seems. It’s a nice cherry/almond fizzy scent at first with some nice musk and resin in the background (and I don’t even really mind the patchouli) but it morphs into something a little less sweet and drier. It’s still thick and dark smelling though, and a great signature oil for bpal!

    Black Annis

In bottle/imp: Vetiver and light peanut butter. Yeah, really. Immediately on skin: This is an odd combination of scents. Everything together smells like vetiver and peanut butter… but when I separate the notes as I sniff, I get the vetiver, sweet resin, and anise. This is STRONG and a very thick, black scent. After a little while: This has gotten even more bitter as I wear it. That lingering peanut butter feel has dissipated though. This is now a bitter vetiver and anise scent. This is really strong and very thick and dark smelling. Overall Impressions: I'm not a fan of black liquorice, so this blend really doesn't appeal to me. It's like corrupted zombie liquorice or something... deep, dark, bitter, and so so evil.

    Baobhan Sith

In bottle/imp: Spicy grapefruit tea. Yummy! Immediately on skin: Wow, this is strong! It smells of grapefruit and ginger iced tea, but I can feel it in my eyes and nose as I sniff it. This is a strong smelling blend. After a little while: This is still a very strong grapefruit and ginger white tea scent, but that sharp feeling I was getting in my nose has gone away. This is not really a sweet scent. The grapefruit and ginger are rather mouth-puckering. Overall Impressions: This is a very crisp and refreshing white tea scent with a LOT of grapefruit and ginger. The notes match surprisingly well though and really blend together nicely; I can't even really separate the citrus and spice notes. I'd say this is unisex and I'd imagine it's wonderful in hot weather.

    Akuma

In bottle/imp: Raspberry sweet tarts. Immediately on skin: This really smells like raspberry pixie stix, or sweet tarts. It’s a strong, sweet raspberry scent with a very tart citrus twinge. It smells like candy. After a little while: The raspberry has faded a little and the citrus has come out a little more. The scent still hits me as a tart and almost powdery raspberry candy. It’s sweet and really has a nice straightforwardness about it. Overall Impressions: This one is a little too sweet for me, but I can imagine it appealing to some people. It’s odd how much it reminds me of pixie stix though! (or however you spell it) It’s fruity and tart with a lot of sweetness to it, but it’s balanced very nicely.
  11. CCNow "shipped" doesn't mean it actually shipped necessarily. It changes to that once the lab harvests your order to begin working on it. USPS Click N Ship notices are what you usually get when it has shipped. ETA: Yeah, what angharad said

Chaos Theory IV: Edge of Chaos

I got bottles DCCXXII and DCCXXIII (722 and 723) and as for my review, I get that same tropical milkiness cordia reported from 723, plus apples (green, crisp apples) and grapes. Maybe some fig, too. I'm pretty sure it's coconut milk in mine, and after a little bit it smells like a tropical drink on my skin. It reminded me a little of Milk Moon 07 or Obatala, but I can't stand either of those (they literally make me gag) and this one was nice... it just wasn't me. At first, though, 723 is crisp green apples, white grapes, and a touch of cake on my skin. It's similar in the bottle. As for DCCXXII (722), this one is odd. In the bottle it's sort of like cake and clean laundry. After I apply it to my skin I get that clean feel plus something lightly nutty and smoky, and some smooth fruit like dates. After a while a cool, bluish floral scent comes out. I can't identify a single note in this, but it's nice.

Chaos Theory IV: Edge of Chaos

DII (502) In the bottle this one smells of thick, rich almond. Once I apply it on my skin however, the almond completely disappears and I'm left with a lot of fig. As it dries, a bit of woods come out, along with what I think is cardamom. Fig turns gritty on me, so this is a dry, earthy, spiced fig scent. DXLIV (544) This smells like herbs and maybe some bergamot in the bottle. To my nose the combo smells almost like grape at first, but then my nose separates it into multiple notes. (My husband said it smells like fruit tarts) This is quite the morpher once it gets on my skin however. At first it has a cool, dry woody feeling. It smells very unisex and a little like cologne. It's very well blended. As it dries down, I get a lot of incense from this, and a bit of spice which I think is tamarind. Actually, on once this is dry it smells like the incense and spice from Diwali without any of the fruit or creaminess. I think it might have a touch of tobacco, but I'm really not sure.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Yes, all the pictures I've seen suggest that. It definitely fits the coloring of the label.

What do bottles and labels look like?

I think someone posted a link to pics on the prototype thread. Did you check there, or am I mistaken? ETA: Yep, it's here. Sistinas on the Lush forum posted pics of her signed set (just the book is signed I think). Book. Postcard. Bottle.

How to make a paypal order.

You're welcome I think international orders are generally sent out a little later than domestic orders, so I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

How to make a paypal order.

His email address would get them (the one on the paypal account). I don't think there's a way for you to get them, unless you add your email address to the account and make it the primary email address. Ta would it be sent as the products were shipped????? x Yeah... Click N Ship notices are usually sent when the item is being sent out, but there have been instances before when I have received one a couple of days after it was shipped, and sometimes even after I received the item.

    Whip

In bottle/imp: Very fresh, realistic rose with a bit of a clean note in the background. Immediately on skin: The rose is this is very fresh smelling. It’s sweet and dewy, like you just pulled a rose out of the cooler at the florist and smelled it while it still had little water drops on its petals. The background note is sort of leatherish, but it’s clean, new, shiny leather… like a new leather whip just waiting to be unwound and slashed against bare flesh. This also has a bit of a clean dryer sheet type note with the leather. After a little while: I still smell that fresh, dewy rose, but the leather in this blend is still that new, crackling leather with a little hint of fresh laundry. It’s a well-balanced scent and the rose really behaves well with the leather. Overall Impressions: This is a sexual, kinky scent… but it still seems wearable. The leather in this isn’t heavy, masculine leather; it’s more new, smooth black leather that’s waiting to be broken in. This is on the sweeter side, so I’d say it has a feminine edge, but if you’re looking for a feminine leather blend and don’t mind rose, this may play nice with you.

    Spellbound

In bottle/imp: Roses, roses, and musk. Oh, and roses. Immediately on skin: This is strong on the rose (sweet, fresh, and a little sharp) with a base of dry musk and warm amber blending in. After a little while: The sharp note from the roses has toned down and what I get from this now is a very rose-filled scent with a base of soft musk. It’s a little dry, though the roses make it a little fresher. Overall Impressions: This is what I was expecting from the description, but the amber seemed to have disappeared after a while. But overall this is a nice rose scent with a little musk, and perhaps on other people the amber will stick around, too.

    Siren

In bottle/imp: Dirt. Sweet, spicy dirt. Immediately on skin: This smells strongly of dirt on me. Not a nasty smell, but like dirt nonetheless. There’s a hint of ginger, and a little bit of jasmine, but there’s something very earthy going on here. After a few minutes: The notes blending together in this strike me as a dirt scent, but I can pick them out individually as well. The vanilla in this one is turning to plastic on me, like the vanilla in Dragon's Milk and Perilous Parlor. It's not an overly sweet scent, and everything seems balanced well. Overall Impressions: I didn’t enjoy this scent… the ginger, jasmine and vanilla blending together just struck a bad chord with my chemistry and my nose. It’s an odd combo, but interesting, but it’s not for me. I’d be too afraid of smelling like I was just digging around in the garden if I wore this.

    Seraglio

In bottle/imp: Faint spiced rose. Immediately on skin: All I get from this is very fresh rose with a little spice from the sandalwood. After a little while: Hmm. No almond. But I do get some nice rose, neroli, and a bit of sandalwood. It’s pretty, sweet, warm rose. Overall Impressions: Where’s the almond? The scent is nice, but I was looking forward to the almond in this. I’m a little disappointed, but it was a nice rose blend.

    Sed Non Satiata

In bottle/imp: Very complex. It’s herbal, dry, a touch sweet, and a little gritty. Immediately on skin: This is dark and musky with a nice smooth sweetness. The body musk is mainly what I get from this, touched with the honey, tuberose cognac. The patchouli and geranium linger in the background. After a little while: This is dark, musky, and gritty, but it also now has a cloying sweetness to it that I don’t particularly like. The skin musk, myrrh, and patchouli are thick and slightly spiced and musky, while the cognac and honey poured over don’t quite mix in. Overall Impressions: A very dark blend… but complex. The skin musk matches nicely with the patchouli and myrrh, while the sweeter notes offset the other darker ones well. The honey and cognac doesn’t seem to quite blend as well as I would have hoped, but I have issues with some of the lab’s honey notes. Overall I think this is a nice, deep skin musk blend except for the honey.
  24. Delirium1009

    Rapture

In bottle/imp: Jasmine, musk, and soft, wafting citrus. Immediately on skin: The jasmine just jumps out at me mixed with a little resin, but following behind is light musk and a very soft, sweet citrus note. The rose is sprinkled over the whole blend, smoothing it all together. After a little while: This is a very smooth, smoky floral scent of jasmine blended with rose and a hint of sweet neroli with a base of subtle musk. The resin note disappeared completely upon drydown. Overall Impressions: This is a cooler, sweeter and very smooth jasmine blend. The other notes do well to tone it down, and the little hints of rose, citrus, and musk blend in nicely. It’s a nicely complex and well blended scent that changes subtly as I sniff it. A very evocative blend for sure.

    Queen of Sheba

In bottle/imp: Almonds, black musk, and dry spices. Immediately on skin: This is a sweet almond scent, but it has a very musky dry feel and some darker spices as well. The two sides of it kind of balance out, and when I’m not trying to pick apart the scent it smells sweet and spiced. There does seem to be something a little powdery about this though in the far background. After a little while: This has softened and smoothed out, but it’s unfortunately gotten a bit powdery as well. The almond peeks out, soft and sweet, and the spices give this a nice base. I think that the problem note in this for me is the honey. I recently tried O and that honey went powdery on me, and this powder note smells the same. Overall Impressions: This started out balanced well but not very well blended, and dried to something blended, but with an unfortunate amount of honey powder. I was hoping the honey would stay out of this one but it came out enough to ruin the blend for me.
