Sweet clean baby powder. Not a bit of brimstone anywhere to be seen... but isn't that the way it is with most devil children?
-
LAVENDER and nothing else. It kind of makes your head snap back.
-
Nope. Not terribly impressed. I sniffed and got generic floral. Pretty but not anything to flip over. I think I'll stick with my beloved Vixen and O.

I don't know what happened. I love amber and sandalwood is usually very nice. It started off pleasant but dried to something rather piercing. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be long lasting so I won't have to wash it off. Amber. Why have you forsaken me?

On application, Lampades is both tangy and sweet. On drydown, it loses the tang and becomes super sweet. It has a very young feel to me and if I had daughters, I would hand the imp over to them in a heartbeat.
-
Soft, very soft and lilting is this fragrance. I don't detect dirt or blood at all, just soft floral. I like it.
-
Cold and beautiful on application. I pick up mostly lavender. After it dries, it turns powdery but still maintains that tang. I don't know what lychee smells like, but I will assume that this is what I am getting. I really like this.

Gunpowder, charred wood, smoke, and rusty nails. Definitely smoky- burnt and charred wood. Not something I want to smell like, but very interesting.
-
Uh, no. I do not want to smell like dirt.
-
Huh. I thought this had some rose in it. I suppose what I am getting is the lily. It's an OK scent but not anything swoon-worthy. It reminds me of a dusting powder I got into at my grandmother's house once.

2009- I thought I would like this, but after it dries down, it becomes astringent and takes on the dreaded "bug spray" essence. Definitely not for me.

I don't think I like this... I certainly don't like the milk note. I am getting a weird kind of eucalyptus type something... almost like menthol. This might be my interpretation of the milk and fig together. Regardless, I do NOT like it.

This scent reminds me of being a kid and going to the YMCA down the street from my house. It is weirdly reminiscent of the sun tan lotion that everyone wore. I can hear splashing and high children's voices, the sound of the guard's whistle and the thwack of the diving board as someone does a perfect Jackknife...

I've been told that the scent bruises if you rub. (don't have the slightest idea what that means) Someone told me to let it dry on its own. I think my scent of the day is wonderful regardless of how I apply it. I tend to be a light dabber because I don't want to announce my intended presence 10 minutes before I enter a room. How's this for a how to? http://www.ehow.com/how_2034389_apply-perfume-properly.html#

Wet: Lemony lem lem lemon!!! And joy of joys! This lemon is NOT the cleaning fluid variety. It's real lemon, slightly sweet. Dry: Lemon fades and musk takes its place. It's very nice but it feels like something is missing. I agree the Phobos wants to be layered. I still like it though.

Am I the only one who thinks this scent is too sweet? I spent the last 10 minutes decanting 2 imps of it for a friend to swap with another forumite and I am about to DIE. It is lovely in small doses but I think I will go into insulin shock if I don't wash my hands... NOW.

LI (51) Sweet tea with a hint of musk. Gorgeous... but a bit too masculine for me. -
Do Not Like. Wet: Acetone... like in fingernail polish remover. Dry: acetone and ashes. Yuck.
-
CCCXIII In the imp, definitely stems of freshly cut flowers. Very green. Almost grassy. Drying down, I detect a sweetness, half floral and half fruity in nature. Interesting. Complex.
-
CCCLXVI I am getting grapefruit. Tart wonderfully sour citrus. It turns sweeter as it dries. I think this one will be great for days when I need a pick me up.
-
No berries for me, just sharp florals. It dries down nicely to a soft floral.
-
This is bottle worthy. No, make that VAT worthy. Barrel worthy. Never ending supply worthy. Yes, I think this one will be in the top 10... It starts out sweet, almost cloyingly so... but then it deepens and becomes more resin-y. The honey comes out and it is seriously gorgeous. Definitely one of the best GCs I have tried in a long long time.

It's probably a good thing that this was discontinued before I had a chance to try it... Severin is lovely. It starts out very lemony but settles into that Earl Grey perfume-y kind of scent. I hated Earl Grey for the longest time and then one day, it suddenly tasted like heaven. That's what Severin smells like. It's warm and soft. My only problem with it is that it fades far too quickly. 2 hours later, I can still detect it on my wrist, but not by much.

What a magnificent scent! It starts out crisp ripe apple, tart and juicy... but what is that right beneath the surface? Something sinister and biting hides, On drydown, the scent turns a bit powdery, almost with a hit of floral. It is lovely... and many thanks to my dearest Witch for gifting me with Poisoned Apple!!

Oh, wow this is so gorgeous!!! It's got a sinister kind of sweetness. The incense is lilting and the musk hugs the edges. I LOVE this.
