Thank you, Scylla, for letting me try this! In the vial, it smells sweet, and not at all what I thought it would be like. Hmm. Oh, wait, I think I smell the smoke and leather hiding in there. Oooh, this is going to be good. Brandy and woodsmoke. Oh, here comes the leather. This one keeps changing! Aaahhh, there's the pipe tobacco. It just keeps sweetening up and becoming more lovely. It even got a positive response from my husband, which is almost unheard of. After several hours, I'm getting sweet spicy tobacco wafting around me, and boozy leather when I put my nose to my wrist. Wow. I really really love this one. I put some on my husband and it was fabulous on him as well. It's not something to wear everyday, but it's moved into my top 5.

Fantastic!!! Oh my god. This is my new favorite BPAL scent, for sure. This is the smell of fall from my childhood in the country. The woods, dried leaves, woodsmoke, spiced cider, and something baking in the oven. It kind of makes me feel choked up, it brings so many good memories out. This scent is so well balanced on me... nothing really predominates, it's just a beautiful blend. *goes back to sniffing*

Wow, I love Roadhouse! In the imp, I get the beer and grass really strongly, but on my skin it becomes sweet yellow dandelions. I'm a sucker for both boozy and green scents, so this is just amazing. After a while, the booze smell comes back, but I don't think it really smells like beer anymore... it just smells sweet and grassy and that gorgeous dandelion note hangs around. It makes me think of sitting on the porch on a spring evening, having a drink and feeling at peace with the world. Big bottle!!

A freebie with my last order! This isn't something I would have ordered, but now I'm so glad I have it. I got the honey-lemon smell at first, then it develops that powdery note. I really like it though, and normally I don't like the powdery ones. My husband was completely unimpressed with it, but it makes me feel sexy and feminine.

Thanks to Koumori for giving me the chance to try this!! I knew this would be one I loved just from the description... the boozy wine scents do so well with my chemistry. Yep, delicious blackberry wine that mellows out into a beautiful spicy floral that I can't stop sniffing. This may be my favorite BPAL scent ever, at least until the Halloween LEs come out.

Wow. Ok, I was really looking forward to trying this on my husband. It was nice and leather-jackety on him at first, and I wanted it to be more. It wasn't. So, I brought it to work on a whim with some other imps and tried some on myself. *faint* I love so many of the BPAL scents, but this is the first one that I had a purely physical reaction to. Sex! I smell like leather and smoke and hot sex, and I can't wait to get home and put this reaction to some good use! Oh, why did I put this on at work! Big bottle for me. Oh, yes.

A freebie in my last order. In the bottle: Mmm, cherries. I love the fruity ones. On me: Gah!! Licorice! Oh, no, I hate licorice with a burning passion. Yep, that's getting scrubbed off. Sounds like it works for a lot of people, but not for me.

*swoon* Oh, I love love love this! I had to order an imp after reading everyone's descriptions and it's everything I hoped it would be. In the bottle I smell a lovely green woody floral, and on my skin it keeps all of that and adds a delicate spiciness. Gorgeous!

I got Morella in a swap and thought it sounded like something I would love. Unfortunately, it turned soapy on me. It reminded me of laundry detergent, actually. Luckily it only lasted on me for about an hour. To the swap pile!

Absolutely amazing. I don't know how they do it, but they have completely nailed this one. I always get very strong images from BPAL oils, so here's what this one gives me... a glass of wine, a dusty attic, a dried rose corsage. It smells like going through your mother's hope chest. When I close my eyes I can see the dust motes floating in a shaft of sunlight. I really wanted this one to work on me, even though florals aren't usually my thing. Lo and behold, it smells gorgeous! My husband says it's both spooky and comforting.

Delicious grapefruity goodness. Mmmmm. Baobhan Sith makes me feel happy and strong... it's great for when I know I'll be having a hard day. Unfortunately it doesn't last long on me.

My first review! Well, I have to say that I LOVE Kweku Anansi. It was a freebie in my first order, and it ended up being one of my favorites. I'm terrible at picking out individual notes, but here's what it makes me think of... First, a very strong dusty spicy smell, masculine, but not too much for me to wear. I see a teeming desert marketplace, with lots of booths selling dried and fresh herbs. It makes me feel strong and somehow balanced. After a few hours, it mellows out and sweetens, and I see a wooden box filled with herbs and dried flowers. It's an extremely comforting smell to me. This scent is one of my favorites to wear in the evening at home. It lasts a really long time on me, so every time I wake up in the night I have that comfort smell to lull me back to sleep. This will be a definite 10ml bottle for me when it's released!
