This is one of favorites. There's something incredibly familiar about this - it reminds me of pleasant childhood memories--perhaps walking through the New Hampshire woods in winter when I'd go visit my grandmother. I almost want to say that I smell a mint in here in addition to the other scents--but regardless, whatever is here works very, very well.

I'm very picky when it comes to "foodie" scents, but I found myself liking this one. It was buttery & sweet, but spicy enough to work. That said, when my roommate came downstairs, I had a hard time convincing her that I hadn't made waffles ;-) 7/10

Every once in a while a frimp goes immediately from trial to MUST GET!! Such was the case with this. I had no expectation of liking it as much as I did, but it really, really works on me. Such a unique, but indescribable mixture between the metal/ozone and the floral that's both comforting and compelling 9/10.

I'm not sure how, but if "sparkling" were a scent, this perfume would actually SPARKLE. I was really excited to try this because neroli and rose are two of my favorite scents, and it didn't disappoint. The rose is very soft and subtle and there's an element of something herbal in there without quite being green, and then the dazzling & sparkling that just pulls it all together. Quite thrilled with this one.

I will admit that the only reason I picked up a bottle of this is that "Beauty and the Beast" is my favorite fairy tale. I was also very intrigued by the sandlewood and rosewood, but also a bit skeptical because 99 times out of a 100 I strongly dislike vanilla in scents. This would be the 1 time in a hundred that it doesn't bother me. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to even pick it out. I smell the peach and the sandlewood most strongly. I'm guessing that osmanthus is the floral that I don't recognize, which is also very nice. This has quickly rocketed to my top five (with Rose Cross, Angeronalia, Lines Written among the Euganean Hills, Rosalind, and Aureus being my other favorites). I would recommend this to other vanilla "skeptics" like myself. I'd also suggest it to those that like "clean" scents like Rosalind, or those that like subtle fruits like Katharina.

I've decided neroli must be my crack, because there's no scent that's had that in it, that I've given less than a 10 to in my tracking chart. This is no exception. I'm not a foody and not generally a fan of the Halloween and harvest scents (sacrelige, I know), but it said neroli and so I decided to try it (albeit with apprehension). Umm, I take back everything I said about not liking food-based scents. I can't get enough of this. It's rich and sweet without being cloying. It's interesting, and I need to go get some more before it's no longer available.

I was really nervous about this scent, because ambers tend to go to powder on me and musks are hit or miss, but I wanted to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at picking out individual notes in scents (I tend to look for common elements in scents I like/dislike to figure out what it is), so I can't provide more than an evocative description -- it's warm, it's a little deep, it's earthy. I think the depth/earthiness are likely from the musk and dragon's blood, as I barely smell the amber at all (and it certainly doesn't go all sweet/powdery). There's a floral there, too, but it's subtler - just enough to lend a little effervescence to the mix and keep it from getting too deep.

Pekeana insisted I try this after learning several of my other favorite scents had rose as a foundation. I love it! I can't really smell the frankinscence outright (though I can tell there's more there than just rose), but the rose is rich without being cloying, and it's a very warm scent. In that vein, my favorite thing about it is that it seems to smell "better" and even a little stronger when I'm hot. I love to put it on before sunbathing or working out as it just gets richer as I warm up and it blends with whatever in my body chemistry.
