The smell in the bottle, you almost expect it to be purple or blue, from all the notes of berries. Like a puree that needs now to be poured on cream. On the skin, wet it is still that sweeeeeeet berry note. But then it dries, and matures to a fantastic herbal balance. I almost get soapy, like the sun-ripened raspberry stuff at bbw. This will be fun to wear in the summer and to the movie, Bewitched.

Yummers In the bottle/imp, actually as this was a freebie from the LAB!! so, in the imp, I got lip-smackin sweetness. Gum, not your sugarfree variety either. At this point I decided to look up the blend to see what notes are in it. The sweetness must be the prickly pear. Goes on that sweet too. Wowie! As it dries, I get sage? and some other herbals. It is a herbal blend that Beth uses in other blends I think. Very nice. Coriander must be that fantastic spice that keeps it alive on my skin. I love this. I would love to get a bottle of this. Skin candy this one.

Why, oh why did I wait until the last damn moment to get and try this blend. One bottle. Just one, to last a lifetime. I will have to ration it out. On to the review. It has so much of what I love about Dublin in it that I would get another bottle of Dublin and add some more musk. Like Andra said, this would smell fab on a gent. My gent, esp. It is sexy and smooth. B-BPAL, that is before BPAL, I never wore perfume, certainly not CK One or any of those gender neutral scents sold in the stores. This is BPAL's One, made for a man or goddess. I am in love

The label is Pink. Give me a few minutes.......... Ok. Wet on, it is so sweet. Sweet florals, sweet musks, sweet fruits? As it dries the florals take over, which is nice, 'cause candy sweet is never my thing. After it dries, not much changes in this floral blend. Well balanced. I adore it ETA: This 2 hours later, does what Kali does and morphs to a creamy cocoa note? odd

In the imp, a thick rich honey wine dwells. I adore mead, and the lore around it, esp that of goddesses. It was the reason I purchased the imp. On, this is honey. Straight up and thick. As it drs, the sweetness stays around but this myrrh. And insense, of some sort. Very old insense. I like it. This would be the most myrrh I would ever wear in a blend as that note I normally shy away from. I like it. I don't think I will wear it as a perfume, but maybe in a warmer for the house.

Eeps! This does what New Orleans did to me. Too much of one note. I don't see lotus listed, but that seems to be the notes that I pick up on. I was hoping for the fig and quince, fir and palm, instead it must be all the gardenias. Off to a better home....

In the bottle, I get a bright vivid green smell. Right away, on the skin wet I smell that rosemary. It is real sharp. It is only after that dries down a bit do the other notes come forward. I am smelling the citrus and amber, not sure what exactly gray amber is like, but that warm bit of amber is there. I like this better really dry, with those sharp notes gone. I get the smell of a well placed container garden. Half would be the kitchen herbs that make your mouth water, the other would be the flowers on the table. I like this, but not love it. It seems to do well with a roll of the bottle before application, mixes the notes a bit better. ETA: This blend has a spice, Cardamon, that comes up only after being dry for nearly 30 mintues. It is a morphing oil. I think it is better for it. Rounds out that herbal note. I ADORE cardamon. Now this is a great oil. Way to go lab!

Like a goofy girl I was put off the the name when it was released, thinking flame, meant smoke. So, after reading the reviews and wanting a bottle, I got one, thnks to Astrid. On wet. This is where people are getting that grape/sweet candy like note. It goes away fast though and up comes the musk? Vanilla musk. I want to eat my arm. As it drys, the floral and musk all just intensify. This is not a red hot flame scent, more of a blush, on your cheeks if you are doing something yummy! I adore this. Want another bottle as I know people who would love this too. Must learn to trust Beth and just buy the blends when released.

t3andcrumpets, the lovely gal we know her to be, gifted this imp to me. Being that it was on my wishlist, I managed a sizable squee before opening the imp. Setting the stage: The mail arrived minutes before my daughter's birthday party was to begin, but I held off putting perfume on until the mail arrived as I was expecting a bottle from a purchase. This was what can and I was tickled! In the imp, I did smell a faint sugary mint. It was darker than what you think of white sugar to be though, like it was in the process of being carmeled. On, wet I got more of the booze that makes the juliep famous. As it drys, the mint is still there and the booze has softened into a darker musk. Very nice I would get another imp of this because I have never liked a mint, so far. This blend does change that. Well done Lab. When can we see the mojito?

Silk Road and Brigisamen (sp at work) are warm scents to me.

Does Pink Moon have a nice label?

I think there is a blend in the Panacea section for mental clarity. hold on. edited to add: ELIXIR II: SUCCOR Relaxation, calm, finding center. ELIXIR III: LUSTRATION Mental, physical and spiritual purification I think either would be great for what you need.

And if you don't like roses, I think you will love Spellbound! I think it is a wonderful blend.

This came with my Chaste Moon order. I thought the description was lovely so I gave it a try. A very murky color. Ghostly really. In the imp, Patchouli. Straight away, at least to my nose. I set it back in the imp house for a possible swap. Later, after reading more of the reviews and having experienced that morphing that some of the oils do beautifully, I gave it another try. On wet it was woody, must be that laurel, not familiar with the note. Right along side that comes the musk and pepper. I am getting more comforable with the blend. As it dries the florals, very quietly I will add, make an apperance. Then the blend is great!! A very soft musk/floral/spice/wood harmony on the wrist. As an added kick, I later layered Silk Road over this. I will get another imp of this one as I think my Mom would like it too.

In the imp, I got soap, Dawn actually. On the skin wet is sorta floral.....soap. Dry, dried soap suds. Off to the swap pile

True, no man could resist your charms if this were swipped along your neck. Beautiful amber blend with the right amount of floral and that apple blossom keeps it from being too floral. Lovely. Good imp for someone you are trying to enable!

In the bottle it is very buttery and sugary. Like a buttercreme frosting. I was thinking perhaps this was going to be foody on me. Not a favorite at all. On the wrist the sweet mixture still is there but I started to smell the fruits and florals that really take stage as it dries. Pineapple, vanilla, coconut? Think white frothy drink! That too starts to go into the background as a round of florals finish the blend up. I love this :00001651: Nice work Lab!!!Well done!

Silk Road. I am a tea freak and knowing the story of the tea trade made this oil even more interesting. In the imp, spicy but not too spicy. I think that cinnamon is spicy and I don't smell that in the imp. On, wet it is so smooth. Like a piece of spice brittle that you want to suck on and let the sweet spicy candy just melt in your mouth. Dries wonderfully! Something reminds me of a potporrui that my Mom used during the Holidays, I think. That said, it is not like potporrui. Exotic and heavenly all at the same time. This is the perfume worn by the female star Carr in The King and I!!! Get a bottle!

Olfactory caffeine: Wake up, Stay Awake with BPAL

I am always fond of citrus with a zing. King of Diamonds does that, Whitechapel. -
Received in a swap with Penance. I too loved the site desctiption: black palm, cocoa, fig and shadowy wooded notes. In the imp, I got the shadowy wooded notes and put it back in the imp house. A few weeks later, on a fig high I thought I would give it a try. Wet I can smell the cocoa. I have smelled most of Beth's chocolates and this was so much darker, not that sticky sweet chocolate with Bliss and Velvet. But Intrigue goes deeper than that. As it dryed I no longer smelt the cocoa and instead got the fig that I had been looking for, yet it was smoky, not sure if this is the black palm as I have never had the note before. Ends as some incency blend. This is truly Intrigue, you expect something and get it, but then it changes. Keeping the imp though. Will wear it in the cooler months. Or in a room spray.

Evocative of the sea's unplumbed mysteries. Gentle and lovely, but menacing and profound. Coconut, Florentine iris, hazelnut and opalescent white musk. Cats and I had a similar experience. I got very little coconut, but a whole lotta iris. While it was wet I was able to pick up on the musk and coconut a bit more, but at the dry down, this just got very floral and all iris. I made my review from an imp sent to me from Ashtonrose. I have a unsniffed 5ml coming, I was really hoping for a shit-load of coconut. After the bottle comes, I will review again, perhaps things will change.

Lemon and tea. Then leather. I thought it was very light in both they staying power and the actual blend. Nice, but I am glad to have Dormouse for a stronger Earl Grey blend.

I do like Alice. I initally did not get an imp, but kept it in the wishlist. I got an imp from the FAB pkwench and just think it is great. In the bottle it is carnation. I was not sure that it would go away. On the skin however, a whole 'nuther story. That carnation dries very fast and in its place a wonderful bergmont comes in. Then the creamy milky yumminess and all is right in the world. You do feel young and innocent and very, very curious.........

Dirty was in am imp pack that also came when I much coveted 10ml arrived. I am corry I did not open this until now. What a great blend. I think in the bottle you really get a strong detergent smell. I passed over it once. Then, having had my second shower of the day, I thought how best to stay smelling clean? My new imp of Dirty. I almost get an Antique Lace out of this. Very clean, not fresh as there is nothing green about it. Not spicy or creamy, just simple and pure. Like me
