This is EXACTLY what I wanted the Fairy Market to smell like. Exotic Bazaar transports me to a magical world where all sorts of interesting creatures are selling their goods. This is a warm and comforting exotic spice. Actually, this smells a lot like a non-synthetic and higher quality version of Pacificas Tibetan Mountain Temple scent (which I've always adored). I've already used the last of my goblin squirt. A bottle will be on it's way soon.

This is mostly black musk with the softest touch of vetiver. On my skin I'm only smelling resin, black musk and vetiver. I'm not getting any sage at all. This dries into a powdery resin, probably too powdery for my tastes. I was hoping for more vetiver. Oh well. ETA (3/2014): Just revisiting this scent to see how it's aged. The black musk is still the most prominent note and sadly, the vetiver has some how been swallowed up by the other notes (it must have been incredibly light to begin with). This still dries to a baby powder note on my skin. So sad. I was really hoping for the vetiver to take over and for the powderiness to go away. No such luck.

This is my favorite out of all the Frankenstein scents I've tried Inextinguishable Hatred is sparkling and fizzy ginger ale! The resin notes keep this from evaporating on my skin and adds a little more body to the blend. This dries into ginger/pepper/resin love. Definitely bottle worthy!

This is church incense with a touch of rose. This reminds me a bit of a softer, less complicated All Souls. The rose definitely blossoms more on the dry down. I wouldn't call this a rose blend though...it's definitely more resinous with the gentlest kiss of rose. Very pretty.

Out of the vial I'm getting patchouli softened by woody balsam. There's something chilly and cooling about this as well. When I inhale deeply it cools the inside of my nose...just ever so slightly. On my skin the patchouli and chilly balsam wood are still dominant with a background of white tea. I'm not detecting any carrot seed. As this dries the white tea steps to the foreground. I would describe this as woody/resinous with a touch of herb. It's soft, pretty, unisex leaning towards feminine and really gorgeous for lovers of earthy perfume. I'll be using my entire vial for sure ETA (3/2014): Just revisiting this scent to see how it's aged. The patchouli has come out a lot more and the white tea note has completely disappeared. This smells like the forest…like the perfect patchouli in a dense woodland.

Ohhh noooooo! It's golden alright....golden showers! It smells like a toilet cake on my skin! I was so excited about this as well. Meh. Sometimes strange things happen like this (and it's rare) where all of the notes look delicious and somehow end up creating an accord of MUST WASH OFF ASAP OMGIMUNNADIE! I'm sorry, Lab! This one just isn't for me.

Wow! What a complete surprise I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I do. Based on the note listing, I expected to appreciate it for a bit and then pass the imp on. However, I do believe I need to buy a bottle of this. In fact, I had dabbed a little bit on my neck the day my decant package arrived, forgot about it, went for a run and started smelling a gorgeous intoxicating scent wafting around me as I sprinted down the Northampton rail trail. For a minute I thought it was the fall sweater-clad couple that had walked by moments before. But as the scent lingered...that's when I realized it was coming from me. Glittering Apple FTW! This is a soft, apple musk. The most apparent notes in this are the blue musk and apple with the gentlest touch of sweet floral notes underneath everything. This smells sophisticated yet playful. It's not a candy apple scent or anything too gourmand and foody smelling. I can see Glittering Apple appealing to a wide audience as it falls into that fruity/floral category that's really popular in perfume right now...and I am totally guilty of loving the trend <3 Love love love!

I was just adding bottles to my BPAL stash tracker and noticed I haven't reviewed this one. Crazy! Banshee Beat is one of my favorite BPAL scents and the one scent (besides my beloved Urd) that illicits more compliments than anything else I wear. I love BPAL for their way of telling complex stories through scent and the way you have to sit and almost meditate with the perfume to really appreciate at all of it's complexities. Banshee Beat goes against all of that. This is a simple perfume. It was created to appeal to a large audience and is like the hippie/more pure cousin to the department store perfume, Angel (which...even through it's loud commercialism, is one of my all-time favorites). Banhsee Beat is nothing more than a soft, woody patchouli (I think the hemp is contributing to the woody quality) and a gourmand vanilla. Nothing fancy. It's like REALLY good Italian food cooked by someones sweet, old Grandma. There are only three ingredients and you CAN'T believe how it can possible taste SO DAMN GOOD! That is Banshee Beat

I have officially learned my lesson tonight. Do NOT judge a scent by one note you dislike. OMFG! This is amazing! Normally, I stay far away from anything with Dragon's Blood and I am SO sad I missed the boat on this one due to my aversion of that one, terrible note. I'm not detecting any Dragon's Blood in this at all...instead this is a spicy scent that reminds me a bit of Masala by Villaness. It's sort of like chai spiced tea. The throw is very mild for me, I really need to get in close to smell it. Iron Phoenix makes for a sexy, spicy skin scent. Beautiful! And you know, as it dries, I'm not sure I need to hunt down a bottle just yet. I'll have to test my decant a little longer before I decide. My only reservation about this is the throw. I like to enjoy the way I smell without having to constantly sniff my own wrists. I bet this would make a great scent for warmer weather though. Lovely!

This was another frimp and I would have NEVER tried this on my own if it wasn't gifted to me. Gardenia? NOOO effing way! Gardenia is one of my top 5 most disliked notes. And yet, Marguerite is quite lovely Initially I smell mostly a sharp geranium note. The (normally) astringent quality of the geranium is softened by the rose. And as this fades, I fall in love with this scent for the exact reason MeiLin hates it...it smells like rose incense. Such a pleasant surprise Oh yeah and did I mention ROSE?! I knew I liked some rose blends but as it turns out I REALLY enjoy rose.

Gwyneth was generously frimped to me. I never would have tried this one on my own due to the calla lily note (white flowers normally = DEATH to me). But, wow oh WOW Gwyneth are you gorgeous! Maybe the range of notes I enjoy is expanding but I have fallen completely in love with this one. It reminds me a bit of White Rose (from the Unity set). This is a soft, sweet floral (mostly rose) with a gentle dusting of coconut. The coconut is just enough to compliment the floral notes and not smell like tanning lotion or food. This is a feminine floral that is not headache-inducing, does NOT smell like old lady perfume and doesn't make me think of bathroom spray.

This is Polynesian Pop! Gnome smells like pure fizzy ginger ale on my skin. I like it a lot but, like Polynesian Pop, it doesn't warrant a bottle for me. This would probably work well as a layering scent (which..er..is probably the point, right? )

BAM! It's that opium tar note that I love so much from Romanti.Goth...dark, thick, smoky, resinous beauty. Underneath I smell the black plum which gives me the image of smoke and fire burning against a deep purple sky. I can think of at least 4 different zones in World of Warcraft that this smells like! So awesome! I seriously can't stop huffing my arm. I need to stop before I pass out from perfume bliss. I knew I was going to fall in love with Evil. I'm not sure why I was so conservative and only ordered an imp to start. A full bottle will be on it's way very soon! I will be adding this to my regular weekly perfume line-up.

Buttery cake with cocoa. It quickly dries into a simple, sweet, sugary scent on my skin (the cocoa note also fades on me after it dries which is nice since I'm not a fan of chocolate in perfume ) Overall this is yummy, fun and not to be taken too seriously. I will probably use this to layer with other scents. Yum!

I received this as a gift with a recent order The top even has a keychain loop. Very nice! I'm getting dirt, herbs, maybe a little bit of grass, patchouli and other earthy notes from this. I tink there may even be an incense note in here. Revenge smells really familiar to me. I know there is a BPAL blend out there that smells very similar to this, I just can't think of the name of it right now. Ooooh it's going to bug me if I don't think of it soon. To sum this one up I would say it smells green, smoky and slightly resinous. I will happily purchase a bottle of this in the future if it makes it to release.

Marshmallow Pumpkin is a VERY wearable pumpkin scent. It has the same spiced pumpkin note as Blue Pumpkin Floss but the delicious marshmallow note softens it a bit making this wearable for me. Basicaly, Marshamallow Pumpkin smells exactly as described and is something I will be able to wear for the remainder of autumn and all winter long.

This is THE best Halloween scent this year. Upon initial application I get a fresh burst of crisp, juicy apples. As it settles into my skin a warm, buttery note steps forward along with a gorgeous powdered sugar note. I'm not detecting any cinnamon at all. If it's in there it's extremley light (I do have a slight cold right now which is disabling my sniffing abilities). LOVE! CCCCA is instantly one of my all-time favorites. It's sweet and foody without smelling too much like a room scent or a candle. I will wear the bah-jeebus out of this one
-
This reminds me a lot of the pumpkin room scent oil by White Barn Company. It's not exact but it is very similar. This is a really yummy smelling spiced pumpkin. I'm not getting a whole lot of blackberry...it's all sweet spiced pumpkin on my skin. I like this one a lot but I tink it works better as a room scent.

This is very tootsie roll like! Hmmm very interesting. There is a note of black licorice in here but not as much as I was hoping for. My skin amps the chocolate notes in here. This ens up being a dusty, dry cocoa on my skin. This is very pretty and yummy but chocolate very rarely works on my skin. Also, you really need to shake this bottle up...the chocolate likes to settle to the bottom.

Trying to figure out which scent I'm going to wear for Halloween as well. I'm going as my own version of "Baby" from House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects. I was thinking Jailbait (smells like bubblegum and cherries...just seems appropriate) or something else sweet and slightly sinister. Hmmmm
-
Wow...very complex. In the bottle this smells like fresh, sharp herbs and mulling spices. On my skin this is a lot of juniper and mulled apple cider. As it dries it turns to a friendly potpourri scent. I smell like a craft store. I think this would work well in an oil burner just not on my skin. And since I feel guilty using BPAL oils in burners this one is off to swaps where someone else might enjoy it. This isn't bad at all, it's very pleasant just not my thing.

A creamy, sensual, honeyed red musk. Ahhhh! I am so jealous you are all getting honey and red musk! This is all playdoh and sugar on my skin. When this first arrived a few days ago I thought my nose was just having a wonky day but it still smells like playdoh on me....even more so than Snake Oil does. I am so sad and disappointed. It looks like everyone else loves it though so I know I will be able to find it a good home. ETA: So it appears there is batch inconsistency and there are versions out there without the red musk. It looks like the bottle I reviewed is one of the non-red musk blends. I think I am going to try and find a red musk version of this.

Stinky diaper JASMINE and lavender. No thank you.

This smells EXACTLY like the description says The ginger ale note is DEAD on. I smell like cold, fizzy ginger ale...and orange...and booze. Yep, exactly like the description. This reminds me of a spicy Golden Wave. Yep! Another winner! I want to drink this AND wear it as a perfume. I LOVE ze Polynesian Pop

Ohhh how I looovvveeee the Luau Lounge! *dances* This is a syrupy peach booze. Peachtree schnapps drizzled over pinapple juice. Yum! Mahana (like all of the other Luau Lounge scents) smells amazing on my skin. I smell edible. This one is obviously very fun and summery. I will be purchasing a bottle
