Oh, Queen of Clubs, how I love you. I knew I would love you when I read the ingredients list and I am so right. On me, Queen of Clubs smells like Persephone and O got together and threw an intimate little tete a tete with fragrant incense spiralling through the air. Warm and sweet and sexy with a touch of spice. Oh, why did I only order two bottles? Woe.

Dublin has ensnared me. At first when I sniffed it and tried it on, I was like, "Ew! No! Not ever!" And then.... When I sniff it on me, I don't know what I'm smelling. It's... kinda floral, kinda musky, kinda woodsy, and kinda aquatic. And then I'll sniff it again and think, "No, it's not like any of those." I keep sniffing my wrists every few hours through the day to see if I know yet, and I still don't. It even lingers on the cuffs of my shirts and my winter coat so I'll go to put them on and -- Dublin. So I'll stop with my coat half on and sniff my cuffs. I do know that I need a bottle of it so I can pursue the question of what exactly it smells like. Maybe a big bottle. Yeah. It's funny; I never would have thought I was a rose person, but my first two bottles look to be Persephone and Dublin. Go figure.

I'm still looking for my perfect wood scent, so I was excited about this. In the vial: Mmmm, pine! I love pine! On me, wet: Mmmm, pine and musk! I love pine and musk! On me, dry: ....Baby powder! I'm thinking it's the musk note. *sigh* If the pine had stuck around, I wouldn't mind so much, but it's gone, gone, gone. I may have to trade this.

I'm looking into ordering caps with wands in them from earlier in this thread, but the company won't tell me how much the shipping is, which vexes me greatly. It's these people; has anyone else ordered caps from them? How much was it, more or less? Thanks. I've got one eyedropper that I carefully cleaned with isopropyl alcohol for my bottle of Samhain, but I've got bottles of Egg Nog and Gingerbread Poppet en route and I'm much too lazy to clean the eyedropper every time!

In the vial: Smells like... liquor? Like good liquor, but liquor. On me: Smells ooh, much fruitier. It was described further up thread as a deep rosey color, and that's precisely right. It's like deep rose velvet. I'm not sure where the pomegranate smell ties in other than -- oh, of course, it's pomegranate-colored velvet. It doesn't seem to carry at all; I have to plant my nose on my wrist after putting some on to smell it. But I like it that way. I'm feeling kindly about this one; perhaps a bottle? Hmmm.

Oh boy. First review. Here we go. In the vial: It says to me FLORAL! And that's about all it says. Rats. On the wrists: I get a little tingle which makes me hold my breath; I have sensitive skin, and I've heard about what cinnamon oil can do. But it passes. It still smells very floral. There's a little kick of cinnamon, and I think a hint of cedar, but mostly FLORAL! Hmmm. I was hoping for something a little more woodsy and a little less FLORAL! I like it, I think, but I'm not feeling the call of the big bottle. I'll probably keep trying my imp until I use it up deciding. ETA: Wow, it's already faded to a very soft floral. I can't smell the cinnamon at all anymore. I even tried to use more this time. Ah, well.
