  1. I tried Tamora on without remembering what was in it except peach. I expected it to be more like Fae, but I didn't realize that Tamora had the blossom instead of the fruit. On my skin, all I can smell is the peach blossom. It's lighter than the fruit and definitely not as strong. Still, this is a pretty, delicate scent.

  2. On me, Blood Rose is a very red rose with a slightly sour tinge. It's a lot like Persephone (my #1 favorite), but with only the sourness, not the actual pomegranate note. I don't get any dragon's blood at all. I'll give this another shot, but right now it doesn't look like a keeper.

  3. I seem to get all the notes of Rangoon Riptide on my skin, but something about it seems a little off on me. It would probably smell great on someone else, so I'll pass it on.

ETA: I just realized what's off -- it's turning into a boozy, fruity powder on me.

  4. ... This perfume is the scent of the witches' revel: German fir and forest herbs, incense and bonfire smoke, infernal flora, glowing amber, and the wet, glimmering scent of skin warmed by dance.

Wet on my skin, Hexennacht '08 is pine and a hint of herbs. Dry, it's just pine, but a lighter pine than the Yule pine blends. This is perfect for spring and summer.

  5. Wet on my skin, Incubus smells like just caramel. Before it's even dry, it smells like just honey. I'll keep this imp and try again at some point to see if the other notes show up.

  6. Wet on my skin, Yggdrasil is a green, herbal smell. Dry, I get pine with maybe another wood behind it. Unfortunately, Yggdrasil's so light that it's hard to tell what I'm smelling -- I'm only getting the occasional light whiff. I think I'll pass this one on.

  7. Disclaimer: I have a cold and my hormones might be a little out of whack, so this probably isn't the most accurate review.

Wet on my skin, Worm Moon is decaying organic matter and a hint of wood. It's a lot like Destroying Angel, but lighter. Drying, there's the barest hint of floral at the end of a sniff. Dry, it's halfway between the organic matter and men's cologne. I love this and I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars, which is weird since I only give Destroying Angel 2 stars. If you love the Ars Moriendi line, try this.

  8. (I originally posted this on 4-22 but it looks like it was deleted when the forum went down.)

In the bottle, Parentalia is just incense resin. Wet on my skin, there's this strange sour note I can't identify. Dry, it's all resin with maybe a little cypress. Someone else can have this.

  9. I'm not positive, but I think Black Phoenix on me smells like sandalwood and resins. Wet on my skin, it's a dark scent, but it lightened as it dried. It's not really me but I do like it. I don't see a bottle in my future, but I'll definitely keep an imp around.
