Wine just turning to vinegar, crumbling mortar, red clay, and the coppery tang of old blood. Wet on me, The Chilling Cellar starts off as what I think is wine and clay. Drying, it smells like bubblegum. Dry, I get the vinegary wine. It's nice but it's not for me.

I was so excited when The Atrocious Attic came out since it seems to be inspired by the "bride in the trunk" urban legend. On me, all I get is tea rose and violet. The violet was stronger of the two when it was wet and the tea rose was a bit soapy around the edges. Dry, the tea rose is stronger and no longer soapy. I like this one a lot but I won't need another bottle.

What I get from Pirate Moon is coconut palm over red musk with a hint of lime. It's nice but not something I'll wear often.
-
On me, The Phoenix is salty ocean air (hello, Mary Read!) and lime with a hint of wood in the background. I like it and I'm really glad I got a bottle.

On me, Mary Read just smells of salt air. I don't smell any of the other notes at all, but don't think that I'm complaining. This would be perfect for summer.

What I get from Anne Bonny is mostly sandalwood with a little patchouli. I like it but it's not me so I don't need a bottle.

It's hard to describe how Titus Andronicus smells on me. It's too light and powdery to really nail down the scent. I think I'm getting mostly neroli and bergamot. It's definitely not for me.

Odin on me seems to be musk and wood. Very sexy but not me. I'll keep this imp but I won't get a bottle.

Languor on me is white floral. Too light to be heady but very pretty just the same. I'll keep it around.

While The Dodo smelled like yummy fruit on me, it also irritated my skin, so I'll have to pass this on to someone else.

In the imp and wet on my skin, Rage was just patchouli. I don't know where that came from. Dry, it's a hint of dragon's blood (plumeria on my skin), mandarin, and maybe black currant. Rage is nice (though too pretty to live up to its name) but it's really light. I'll keep it around for now.

Wet on my skin, Mouse's Long and Sad Tale is vanilla and sweet pea. Almost too sweet. Dry, it's much more subtle. Still strong but not as sweet. I like this a lot.

Versailles started out smelling like sugared violets (hello, Faith!) and had it stayed that way, I would've been in love. Unfortunately, it turned to violet-scented babypowder. Dry, the rose started to come through, but it turned to floral soap. Goodbye, Versailles.

The Reaper and the Flowers is like Poisson d'Avril's younger sister. While Pd'A is strong yellow flowers, The Reaper and the Flowers is all light white flowers. I like it but I don't really need a bottle.

On me, Wilde is lavender, thyme, and a hint of bergamot over an aquatic men's cologne base. I am completely in love with this scent. It's masculine but not so much that a woman can't wear it. This is definitely going on my wishlist.

I don't think my skin chemistry likes Florence very much right now -- I'm getting nuts and that's about it. I'll keep it for now and try it again sometime.

On me, Hunger is mostly patchouli. I don't understand that, since it's not listed. It's nice I suppose but definitely not me.

On me, Desire smells like dragon's blood (plumeria on my skin) and patchouli. It's nice but it's really light on me. I'm hoping aging will make it stronger.

On me, Lyonesse is warm vanilla sugar. It starts out really strong then gets lighter as it dries. I like this a lot and I'll consider a bottle.

On me, Miskatonic University is coffee single note and boy am I not complaining. It eases my need for Starbucks (darn diet). I need a bottle of this as soon as possible.

On me, The Great Sword of War is lemon with a hint of cocoa and a whiff of tobacco over herbs. It's light and neutral. I like this one a lot and I definitely want a bottle.

On me, Rosalind smells like a light citrus. Grapefruit, maybe. I do like her but she's not a favorite.

I tried on Debauchery before I knew the notes. On me, it smells like dragon's blood resin (which my skin chemistry turns to plumeria) and deep musk. Looking at the notes, I have no idea where the db is coming from, but I'm not complaining -- this stuff is very nice.

Antony on me smells like sage and basil, with a hint of frankincense. On me, this is definitely more neutral than masculine. I love Antony, I just wish he were stronger.

On me, Ode on Melancholy smells like white florals over white musk. It's definitely a sister to Euterpe and a pretty summer scent. I like this one and I'll definitely keep it around.
