Thanks for bringing that up. I want something that affects only me (if my impressionables notice anything from the distance I'll be at, I will definitely have overapplied), and on me, NOTHING has throw unless I use half an imp. So, everyone, carry on. Description still applies - makes me feel good and seems "smart". Kind of sharp.

So I'm placing an order this afternoon and hoping it comes in before the two-week mark so I can use it in the below tableau. Situation: On the 25th I have a presentation at which I need to look really good. This will be meant for four people. Two of them are exceptionally hard-ass, one of them is famous, and the fourth has been training me for two years and I don't want to let him down. Therefore, I need to be very quick on my mental feet and think and speak clearly. Trouble is, in this kind of situation I'm not. Not at all. There will be many requests for divine intervention in the near future. Need: Something that's a confidence booster in an "I look good" kind of way, and, well, makes me smell "smart". There can be absolutely no "sexy" in this, b/c even though three of these people are men, they're the kind of men who would know when they're being played for that. If it helps, I've been using Kumiho as my "serious" scent, but don't think it's sharp enough to cut it.

In the bottle: Herby. Not particularly like rosemary. On: Still herby, then it dried down a little and the rose came in. Right now, rose, herbs, and soap. Mostly rose and soap. If I wanted to smell like rose soap, I'd buy rose soap, . The soap might be the orange blossom; a previous poster said that orange blossom does that to her. Anyway, I'm either giving it away or using it as a guinea pig for making parfum spray.

Innocence defiled. Sticky pink bubblegum and the thick, sweet scent of orange and cherry lollipops smeared over a breath of heady womanly perfume. In the bottle: Dubble Bubble and Ludens coughdrops. On me: Still the bubble gum; the cherry quickly says goodbye. A little later I start to get "generic perfume smell" under the bubble gum, and sometimes the bubble gum leaves and all I have is sugar. As I'm writing this, three and a half hours later, it's definitely bubble gum, with a little, a very little, spicy, musky perfume. It's grown on me.

In the imp: Generic floral perfume. I'm not getting the jasmine. On: Still the generic floral, but I can catch the jasmine a tiny little bit, and it's also a little spicy. While wearing, after reflection: Maybe the musk in it is what makes me think "generic perfume" and kills the jasmine. I have a weird sense of smell and take a lot of medications, so probably weird body chemistry too. After a couple hours: The spice has died and the musk is a bit more obvious. Still generically floral. I'll try it again just to make sure, but I don't much like musk or some flowers, and the spice was... odd... in that context.

In the bottle: a very light rose with... something else. Judging from the other reviews I'll say it's moonflower. On: Ditto. The something else kills the rose a little bit. After an hour or so: Lovely, wispy rose. Still the moonflower but it's not obtrusive. It stayed this way until it wore off after about four hours. I like my roses a little stronger, though this could be appropriate sometimes. Would use it more, though.

In the bottle: Marzipan! With a touch of something else, slightly like cherry. On me: No more marzipan. It's more generally sweet, probably the honey, but a note of something green and sharp is coming in. Got to be the fig leaf. It doesn't smell good. The smelly green sharpness keeps sneaking in and stabbing the sweet whenever I think "I could learn to love this". I start feeling sick to my stomach and head, so after an hour give up and wash it off. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what you happens if you use a coconut blend while the coconut palms are in bloom, you live in Florida, and you're allergic to freakin' everything. It made me sad because this sounded like such a good one...
