In the bottle, it smells just like Kumiho, but sweet rather than sharp. When I wear it it mellows out and becomes sweeter - I'm not sure if it's peony or not I'm getting. I like it. I'll definitely keep it.

If I could get a refund on this, I so would. I do meh with roses and well with honey (though I never do get milk). However, I appear to amp carnation. LOLI HAET CARNATION. Also, this is the rose that goes plastic on me like the rose in Hope. The bottle was strongly carnation, even. Carnation and marzipan. ::sigh:: However, I had a frimp from this order that I'm shocked I like (Masquerade), so I guess it evens out. ETA: I've grown to like this. I was originally very disappointed that it didn't turn out like I expected, but it's gone all nice and warm and spicy. Much better in my new climate.

I know it's an LE, but have you tried Rose Moon? Rose is the main note, but it's very soft. There are some similar GC recs in the GC equivalents of LEs thread. I considered it. Almost bought a pack of 6 moon decants and it was in there. Does Rose Moon do the same wonky "explode" thing that Hope and Possets Frou Frou do? Because those turn into a squeaky chemical scent on me.

Ultimate soft rose rather than ultimate "slap you in the face" rose like RR and Peacock Queen.

Shelly, there's a thread in the FAQs section about it. Don't remember the title, but it's got a ton of stuff on traveling with your oils. To recap it in essence, carry-on is perfectly safe, but seal the bottles and put them in a plastic bag for the TSA's sake (I'm assuming you're American).

I still haven't reviewed this??!? BUT IT'S MAH FAYVRUT! Imp it smells like Orbit Mojito Mint gum. Me it's mint (a white mint, not peppermint or spearmint) and grapefruit about equally, with something sharp and salty/alcoholic balancing it out a little. It used to last a while, though I had to slather, but after contaminating it a few weeks ago (go ahead, ask me about my exorcism ), it's gone down to fifteen minutes even with slathering. At the end, the grapefruit and that alcohol note are the most noticeable.

Eden makes me ill. I know it's the coconut, because I'm allergic to a lot of Florida native and exotic (read: those frickin' Australian imports like melaleuca and carrotwood) flora. So people with coconut allergies, avoid Eden or you'll die, lol.

General catalogue recommendations for this family of perfumes: Pink Sugar/Chocolovers/Sanrio Hello Kitty (not Momoberry, but the one that smells like Pink Sugar with more orange in it). I'm looking for something I can order year round that has that wonderful burnt sugar scent to it.

I was the one that asked about it - it's definitely extended. And it's stuck around so long that I bet it becomes part of the GC like some of Springtime in Arkham ended up being.

Kumiho goes lemony on me, but more of a "lemon juice" than a "lemon meringue" - you might layer it with a pure sugar thing like Zarita. I don't get any lemon out of Dorian - more of an alcoholic vanilla.

This is like Kumiho in the sense of no matter what stage of the game we're at, it smells the same. It's like sweet spices with a little softness to it - from the milk? Kinda like gingerbread cake or something. However, after a couple minutes of "this is pretty good", it just becomes spicy... and a boring potpourri spice spicy. I'll try it again later (maybe the way I'm eating is doing something funny), but I dun like it much. ETA: This is now one of my favorites. It's warm and spicy like dried ginger, with a little sweet prickliness that I've learned to recognize as BPAL Milk and Honey on me. It does with ginger what Alice does with carnation and rose. It's great for fall, for smelling like "You smell good" rather than "Your perfume smells good", and for just... comfort. Once I run out I want a bottle. Also, I would like to disavow the combination I've given out here of layering it with Bliss to kill Bliss's powderiness. Nothing can kill the graininess of Bliss except a stake right through the center of the bottle to plug it.

It's all sharp but watery and slightly, slightly lemony and yummy. I can't make a coherent review for this because it's difficult to pick up on my skin and just blurs into the first sentence.

It starts out smelling like coldness and mint and a little bit of eucalyptus. No violet at all or ever. For five minutes or so I smelled just like frozen Thin Mint cookies and it was wonderful. It faded fairly quickly (though probably b/c I still had the aftermath of Persephone on me... see the review), but four hours later I was picking up whiffs of what I believe to be neroli. This does funny, funny changes on me like Jailbait (cherry Blowpops to stereotypical jasmine perfume) does, and it's as much of a winner as Jailbait. My skin eats it enough that a 5ml is going to be necessary.

As to Tokyo Stomp: I didn't get it b/c "vanilla mint" didn't sound appealing, but then a) I was told it smelled just like Thin Mints and I just got Ultraviolet today and Ultraviolet smells like Thin Mints when wet. Is there much of a resemblance between the two?

In theory, this sounded great. I heart roses, and I heart pomegranate. In the imp, it smelled like yummy pomegranate. On me, it turned to frickin' soap. It spread at least 10 feet from me to my roommate, who then freaked out. I washed it off and offered it to another roommate, who kinda liked it. It's hers now. I am now bitter. Catherine did something similar, but more subdued. I don't think it was the rose, b/c Moon Rose is perfect on me. What could it be?

Because BPAL is not quite love but a great enjoyment for me, I'm wanting to include something from Illyria. What in there is pretty popular with men and not, like, sexy?

I sent in an order for some imps and got, for their supposed spikiness and thus sharp reminders of "Shikkari!" (Get it together), Ultraviolet and Shattered. Yum. Shattered sounds like enough to stick to my skin. Hopefully they'll get here on time, LOL.
