    Monster Bait: Underbed

Yum! This is the perfect cake scent! What I was hoping that Eat Me would be on me. The butter in eat me turned "off" really fast, but the cassia and cocoa is this scent really ground it for me. It smells like a chocolate muffin, but in the deep, dark and rick sort of way. This really isn't that sweet smelling, which is probably why I can wear it. This is going to be a fall staple for me for sure!

    The Masque

This smells just like Bastet but with florals. It's really a lovely scent, but the incense caught me off guard the first time. Carnation and deep dirty honey. Verrry nice!

    Peitho

This reminds me of phantasm too, which also reminds me of jean paul gaultier. Rich, rich vanilla, and florals. A bit heady and a bit too rich for me. I like this at home, but I can see how this might knock me out at work or in other confined places. This is a big scent, a bit too big for me.

    Alecto

I almost liked this cause I love cedar, but the fruity sweetness of it just doesnt do it for me.I like it when I first put it on, but it makes me sort of queasy after a while. For some reason I just can't shake the fact that it smells like cottage cheese with fruit in it. Bizarre I know! But that's what my nose says.

    Snow Moon

alot like skadi in the sweetness of this blend. Winter snow, and berries (which I guess is one of the florals) at first. I like it here, but soon it becomes way too sweet for me. Some sort of bizarre snow candy! The final, several hours later, dry down is very nice. The smell you get when you open the window on a snowy night. But I'm not sure about the sweetness earlier. This may or may not work out for me.

The Bow & Crown of Conquest

I agree that this is a very dense scent. It's sort of like there's too many scents at first to even be able to break through to identify them. I get leather, and musk. Which is sort of dusty and warm smelling together. In the back is vanilla, which gradually makes its way out. There is also a hint of sharpness, which is lavander I guess. I was expecting something sexy, but this is really very mellow. Much more of a cozy up on a cold day with a cup of cocoa and the necronomicon. haha, I mean, it certainly has an air of evil too it, sort of a smug man, oozing of insence and leather, and who has been eating vanilla bonbons? I like it! I think it will grow on me.

    Eau D'Issey

I just tried desdemona and sadly it smelled almost nothing like it to me... but everyone's chemistry is so different, so maybe it will on you!

    Chuparosa

hmn, this would have to be one of my least favorite rose notes to date. It seems I don't like honeysuckle. It just had a sweet mustyness to it that was really cloying on me. But if you like your roses sweet and thick then this may be for you. Lasts a long time though!

    Yuletide

Helooooo cloves and other festive spices! Why did I not order this last year? This is spicy yummy berries and trees and everything that makes me happy. A very clovey dry down too, but not too dark like 3 witches was. A winner!

    Midnight Mass

hmn, I'm just not crazy about this one. Still not the particular blend of church smells that I remember from when I was a child. I guess resins smell like pepper on me, cause that's what I get at first. As it dries down I get smokyness and darkness. This just doesn't develop well on my skin. Oh well, I'm sure someone else will love it.

    Talvikuu

this is great! I don't really get the masculine scent other have mentioned, it's gender neutral. It's the smell of outdoors, which really, isn't male or female. It's sort of sweet, but no where near as sweet as skadi (which is why I had to disown her). It's cold, and white and green, but not in an artificial pinesol-airfresher kind of way. It really does smell like being out in a snowy forest landscape. This is IT, much better than Skadi to me, Beth really got it down pat this year. Perfect outdoor winter scent!

    Les Infortunes de la Vertu

First I get soapy florals, then that sort of naturey smell I know from scents relating to fields and meadows. After a while I get a tiny bit of leather, but overall, a sharp herbal floral. Not really for me this one.

    Snake Charmer

Sensual, sibilant, sexual and hypnotic: Arabian musk and exotic spices slinking through Egyptian amber, enticing vanilla, and a serpentine blend of black plum, labdanum, ambrette, benzoin and black coconut. Oooh.. Goodness! This was way worth the wait and the HOM mix up. This smells divine! Snake charmer never really worked on me, it was a bit too heavy. But this is just right. It's very close to snake charmer, with the vanilla and insence and a smell of baked goods and sex, but this is lighter and not cloying at all . I think maybe I can detect a hint of coconut, and a whiff of plum which is a tiny bit tart, but this is blended to perfection. It's a warm, yummy, sexy, comfort scents, and I am keeping this one for sure.

    Kurukulla

Pretty roses and sweetness! Not candy sweet, but more like a cake. A strawberry shortcake maybe? Very pretty, and it seems pretty stable staying a sweet rose for hours until it finally fades away. However, this isn't really my favorite rose since moon rose has my heart for soft rose scents.

    Ra

First on a citrus of some sorts, and something green, this feels very layered. A bit spicy maybe? This one definitly agrees with my skin. Very bright, clean and happy. But not innocent by any means. It dries down to some sort of spicey, herby citrus. Definitly golden. I wouldn't mind having a bottle of this, although I don't know if I'd actually buy one.

    Penny Dreadful

I love this! So glad I got the 5ml off the bat. First on dirt. Very much like Nosferatu. Then something acrid and sharp, this is where i got worried the first time, but as it dries down it gets really mellow. Dirt, some sort of wood, some sort of floral and a hint of gingerbreadynes. I find it really hard to describe since it's such a unique scent. The final dry down is a soft ginger and hint of floral dirt. This review does not even do it justice. I feel so grounded and calm when I wear this. It's just... it smells like earth, not as in dirt finally, but as a broader concept of earth and warmth and being grounded. i feel like my brain has melted... one of my most scattered reviews to date.. but i love Penny Dreadful!

    House of Mirrors

Like the others, not what I was expecting at all. But while my search for a dark and insency scent continues, this one is nice too. There is no rose listed, but it smells almost exactly like moon rose to me. In that dewy citrusy floral way. I can sense some amber maybe. Definitly a very light scent. I'm gonna keep this one. Again, not what I expected, but I found a really nice dewy amber-floral instead ETA: thought this was snake charmer at first. This is really House of Mirrors --Shollin

    Pannychis

I put this on and it straight off reminded me of something else, so I went throught my bpal list and AHA, it smells very similar to morgause! Which must be the same night blooming flowers, only without the violet. This smells like soft flowers, and moonflower always smells like berries on me. So I get a very soft, airy floral with sweet berries, and then an undertone of something a little bit earthy which would be the cardamom. I like it! For once Jasmine didnt turn on me.

    Black Lotus

I think this was my first lotus scent, and it seems I am a member of the very very sweet club, because this smelled like warm sugar on me. Not for my chemistry sadly.

    Embalming Fluid

This smells alomost exactly like Clinique Happy. Very smooth and bright. I don't think any of the notes are the same, but I think its the aloe that makes them smell similar to me. sort of citrusy but the aloe really takes the edge off. I like this one alot, but due to the sweetness I can tell I would get sick of it fairly quickly if I ever got a bottle.

    Black Annis

This was suprisingly pleasant! I really like vetiver, and this is my first civet. I was worried, but I like this alot! It first really dark, musty, evil. Does sort of smell like old people. But the fade down is to a very vetiver, mossy, dark and dry scent. But at the same time that its a cave, it's also very cozy. I would put this on to cozy up on the sofa with a good dark book in front of an open fire. Definitly conjures up dark evil imagaes, but at the same time.. i like it! and somehow it smells cozy, like an old blanket that the cat has been sleeping on. (but not in a cat pee way, I get no civet=pee notes here at all)

    Santa Muerte

ooo, i get chocolate in here on my skin. Smoky, dark chocolate. A very lingering, sensous smell. Smoky and dark, with roses and a hint of sweetness (cactus flower?). This is a very different rose scent from the others in the catalogue, this is neither innocent not sultry.. this is... hmm.. it does smell like things you would offer to a goddess. chocolate, clouds of incense (or maybe this is the vetiver?), and dried roses. Very nice! Will finish my imp for sure.

    The Apothecary

Very clean, fresh, and green. Along the same vein as empyrial mist and old glasgow to me. Very natural and outdoorsy. It smells like spring time grasses and moss. Well, now that I think of it, mainly moss. Wet moss. Like holding my face down the ground in a forest. A tiny bit of soapyness. This is my favorite clean scent to date, but I'm not usually looking for a clean scent, so I will just keep my imp and it should last me more than well for when I want to feel fresh and springy in a completly nonfloral way.

    Peace

Got this as a gift from my lovely swapfaery. First on: Lavander. Smells alot like the sleep blends. I also get licqorish (sp?), not anise, but the store bought candy kind. Soon: This really mellows out. Sooft, soft lavander, manybe a little soapy. But it smells so soft, and I don't mean weak, i mean it smells SOFT. Like down.. or petals.. or bunny rabbits. Very weird! I've never smelled something that conjured up a texture before. Later: 4 hours later I can smell it for sure. Still mellow, still soft. Not that much a change since before. This is really white, soft and clean! smells a little like dove soap, but definitly lived up to its name.

    Jolly Roger

wowza, this is amazingly piratey! I get leather and ocean, and bonfires and stinky pirates drinking booze. I thought this would smell better on a guy though, my my bf said "foooochie, this stinks!" and in a way.. it does! But it stinks like pirates, and thats the whole point! A real amazing scent.
