In the imp, it's sweet, lots of frankincense and something woodsy. It's thick, rich and warm. On my skin it goes pencil shavings and something else that's not good on me (almost an expired-foody scent); I'm guessing what other people have noted it's vetiver... Too bad, I was hoping for a cold, creepy dark church concoction. Doesn't work for me, or at least, on my skin... too bad!

Ahh vetiver my good buddy, there you are again. Fantastic. Anyway, the vetiver, apricot and bitter clove really rule this in the imp, but on drydown it goes a bit softer (don't get me wrong, the bitterness is still there). The red musk goes all types of crazy when dry. Headache-invoking for me, unfortunately, but I totally get how this fits well in the lupercalia section/concept, without even smelling any of the others.

It does kinda smell like walking around on a graveyard in late autumn. It is chilly and damp and I'm pretty sure that's the white roses and sandalwood. The florals are reaally pretty in there and it's slightly earthy and powdery. It's hard to describe but it's a well-mixed blend. It's got a nice throw on me as well and it's got the same type of darkness/spookyness that samhain has!

Mmmm tasty! Sugary sharp fruits!! Doesn't morph on my skin, the lilac barely there, lime and citron screaming, the white musk giving it a warm, soft edge. Nice.

This kinda goes into the same territory that those/that citrus swabs/cologne that my grandma used once in a blue moon gets into, but softer. The lavender is reaally smooth (lovely!). On my skin it directly morphs into a powdery, even slightly herbal mixture. It doesn't work on me unfortunately, but I'm glad I got to try it. ^^

While sniffing this I was reminded of how I'd forgotten that I love abricot. The abricot was what really stood out at first sniff from the imp and it keeps that quality up 'till drydown. Once dry, the abricot takes the backseat (it nearly vanishes) while the blossom and (mostly!) the white musk come out to play. It's really cute and a nice spring scent.

Preeettyyy! Warm, aquatic, dusty, tropical... all sorts of goodness. The notes are easy to pick apart. A sexy, feminine scent with a decent throw. At drydown, the florals pop out but everything's still there. Myrrh always amps up on my skin though but it's not at all distracting/overpowering. Perhaps I should get a bottle of this in the future...

Appearantly carnation is spicy. Ok, good to know, because yes there's definately a spice in there. Subtle enough, but, it's there. A soft, lovely rose, spices and something sugary-sweet. Really really cute.

Clean, soapy. But an expensive one at that! Goes really well with the other RPG scents I've tried so far. There's a woodsyness to it, like adventuring through the crisp forest in spring when it hasn't gotten warm outside yet. Not for me, but those berries are great.

This is like looking out the window on a cold, rainy day, a rose-scented candle burning on a stand near you.

The pie in this is scrumptious! Very foody; lots 'n lots of that pie, and a good amount of booze. On my skin the booze note thankfully morphs to something a bit softer in nature, with just a touch of wood. It's spicy and full of holiday joy!

It's very cologne-y in the imp. I think it's the spiced rum but I feel a little holly jolly sniffing this. It's like walking around a christmas market in Germany at night. I'm doing it wrong, I'm not getting anything piraty. Buuuut, my strange imagination aside, this is lovely!

Here I was, expecting something dark and broody, I'm getting a very fresh sandalwood. It goes even sweeter on my skin! To be fair, there's a bitterness in it, and a whisp of cold air. My skin drinks it up but holds on to the white florals and sandalwood.

Yuck, almond and vetiver. I should've checked the notes before I got this, but then again I'm open to learning new thigs, who knows, maybe this time it would work! Ha-ha, no, not to me. But, I'm sure if that's your thing you'll love this. It's a fresh, almond-heavy infused marzipan with all the dark goodness that comes with the vetiver, patchouli and the softness of myrrh. I'm chickening out of putting this on my skin though.

Not sure what ambergris and carnation are supposed to smell like, but the orange blossom and patchouli are easy to pick apart. Warm, red, earthy but clean (kind of like lush's devil's nightcap). On drydown at first I thought my skin ate it completely. However, right after that there's a very insence-y edge to it and it seems to be sticking to it. Nice, but not for me.

This directly reminded me of Nyarlahotep with a hint of the deep ones. It's like a steamy cup of leamon tea. Unfortunately it goes soapy on me on drydown, too bad.

Aha, that's what I'm not keen on in here, vetiver! I couldn't put my finger on it without reading the notes (needless to say I'm not a fan of vetiver). From the imp it's harsh. Harsh and angry. On drydown, I'm not getting any lavender but MAN is this amping up on my skin. I can't even smell any of the other skin tests I was doing just now, from afar anymore. Calm down matey. Violets and vetiver, mostly.

Wet: Sweet peach, with some green in the background. It's like spring, this is. Dry: I think it's the white musk that's trying to take over here. Still sweet, with a fuzzyness in there. It's a bit too sweet for me, but it's been nice to try! ^^
-
Somehow ended up being exactly what I imagined. It's like lullaby but stronger and more earthy/metal-y. The moss is very poignant in this and there's something oddly sweet... Doesn't morph much on my skin from the bottle.
-
Definately spicy. I'm a little scared to put this on my skin.. Wet: Oh... there's not much besides the sweet sandalwood, and a bit of soft tobacco. Dry: Ah, THERE'S the rest of the notes, easy to pick apart. Masculine, like a sexy dude in a suit sitting on an expensive leather chair (one of those that turns, all that's missing is a white cat he'd be stroking maliciously...). Not for me, but certainly a pleasure to try!

Who has two exactly the same pixelated thumbs up and needs a full bottle of this? This dude ..That basically sums up my first sniff of this. I was really anticipating this one, mostly because it's one of my favourite characters plus the notes sounded wonderful to me. It's nice and warm, bit green, a bit floral. I am getting a bitter, red wine and that salty sea in there, but it's all blended in unity, there's no "too much". It first goes very salty on my skin and about ten minutes later a lovely floral comes out and stays there for a while. I am afraid this fades quite quickly so maybe I have to slather it on or w/e...

'05 version. Mmm. It's very subtle in the bottle, almost a dusty, fuzzy rose. On my skin, it amps up that rose but there's a prominent green note in there as well. It's kinda weird but it's kinda of like a dusty attic to me... On drydown, it's a bit more like in the bottle- it's got a really good throw though but it's got that fuzzyness that's comparable to the waltz (don't know where I'm getting that, but it's there). A happy, dusty attic with fairy lights up on the slanted ceiling and somehow there's a growing rose up there. Or, a snowy day spent in front of the window in a cozy room filled with pillows and books (...and roses, yes). Very, very pretty. I've no problem holding onto this.

Tangy, tangy grapefruit, very sharp lavender... I'm almost afraid to put this on my skin. Once applied, there's something (green?) in there that I'm not a fan of. The musk amps and I'm not sure what to think of it. On the swap pile it goes!

Got a decant from a lovely forum member. Oh my god, this brings out my inner kid. It's a creamy, candy-type sweet full of (slightly) artificial blueberries. I neeed a bottle!!

I just came from the Yamaya review topic, someone posted this was Yamaya's big sister and I couldn't agree more. This one is a more mature, ethereal feminine scent, with some of that tangy fruit but the florals make it a lot softer. It's got a royal dominance. I'd say this is a light blue. It helps that it really fits all the Titania characters from musicals/films I know, heh.
